Hula - about af. This ttc lark is not easy. Onwards and upward and I really hope month 10 is your month.

Rom - I am glad you are going to make that appointment. Hopefully by the time you get your appointment you will have got the result you are longing for

Bella - Where are you? Are you OK? Missing you on here.

Harrizeb - hanks. Tuesday can't come quick enough!!

Bev - ((Hugs)). Don't feel too down as I have said to Hula onwards and upwards for you as well

Munz - I love all this talk about RM and buses. Not sure which bus goes to Ireland, but if you can find out put my delivery on it

at all your talk about sunshine. It has rained here all day and does't look like improving over the weekend. Typical.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Enjoy your weekend everyone

Hulababy · 27/05/2005 19:08

Feeling a bit better bug wise. Maybe it really is just stress. But feel very sad AF has just shown it's first real signs. So month 10 awaits.

Just AF on top of everything else...feel really fed up right now.

Harrizeb · 27/05/2005 16:43

Afternoon everyone,

I hope you all have lovely sunshine.

Hula, so sorry you're feeling poorly hope it clears up soon and you get to enjoy some of the weekend.

Wendy hope Tuesday comes quickly for you (if you see what I mean )

so sorry for the BFN's so far and fingers crossed Munz' buses do the trick

Well I'm quite impressed managed to bd last night and again this morning and will probably see if I can pursuade DH tomorrow morning too. His comment this morning was - typical we start TTC just as the weather gets hot! We managed to conceived DS in cyprus and had air con - so cool!!

Have a lovely weekend and will catch up next week.

milosmum · 27/05/2005 15:43

rom - its so nice that everyone is really happy for me!! thanks Each BFP proves the rest of you can get here...

Took my "sample" to the docs today to get it all verified then i can book in with the midwife- oh how exciting!

Worriedbev · 27/05/2005 15:30

Good afternoon everyone on this lovely sunny day.
Wish I was at home right now and not stuck in the office. Fed up as still only brown discharge and af should not be due for 3 or 4 days so dont know what is up. Temperature dropped 2 degrees today so that is a sign of af coming isnt it?
No cramps really just the brown discharge when I go to the loo and wipe.
Accepting that I am not pg now and just waiting for af to arrive.
Bev

Hula- that's rotten to be poorley all over the holidays.

Thanks everyone for the information on late BFPs. Ridiculous I know as all pregnancies are different, but since I tested positive with dd 2 days before AF was due on a normal 28 day cycle, I just assumed that the next time would be the same!

Provided that AF does not arrive in the next few days...then I will test again on Monday which will be 21 DPO. This is costing me a fortune so far in tests!!

Not sure if I 'feel' pregnant or not...but then I'm reluctant to try and feel anything just in case the news isn;t what I want to hear....ho hum...!!

romilly · 27/05/2005 11:13

wendy - all the best for your scan, i'm on tenterhooks for you! i spoke to mr.rom and we are going to make an appt. to see GP to get on a waiting list at least.

i am on 3dpo and feeling stupidly optimistic this month

romilly · 27/05/2005 11:09

oh hula not ill for the bank holiday, what a bummer

romilly · 27/05/2005 11:08

totally agree with teuch that you shouldnt worry about late BFPs because they are not that late, its just that we have all got so trigger-happy these days with testing that people expect their bodies to comply. the average date for a BFP is 13.6 dpo but in reality a lot of BFPs are much much later. sometimes 18+ dpo according to ff. charts i've been looking at. so try and enjoy the bank holiday weekend and this fab. sunshine everyone - and for once, i'm going to say stay away from those sticks for a few days

milosmum - thankyou for the dust hon. always appreciated.

Hulababy · 27/05/2005 11:04

Reckon I definitely have a bug, not just stress and not just AF signs. Have hot sweats now, as well as being sick in night, feeling sick now and being achy. Fab!

teuch · 27/05/2005 10:37

Morning folks - congrats milosmum I have tentatively ventured over to the ante-natal threads so you gonna join us?

Just an aside on the HcG - everyone produces different levels which is why some people get late BFP's. It is not the actual amount you are producing, since this varies so much, but the rate at which this is increasing, which affects the viability of any pg. Most women find that HcG doubles every 2-3 days.

So...getting a late BFP is very possible and is not in itself a reason to worry!

Good luck to all the weekend testers !!

Hulababy · 27/05/2005 10:04

Morning.

So sorry for those still getting BFNs and no AF either. What about seeing if your doctor can over a blood test maybe? Are they more sensitive?

munz · 27/05/2005 09:31

morning all, just checking in CD 23 here, AF would normally be in two days this cycle but I have no idea when it's going to be due this month, (hopefully it won't be) I resisted the temptation to test again today favouring sunday/mon instead, lord knows we could use some good news in our house hold. I had my letter from the gyno yesterday - it says ur tubes r clear but after my previous hormone imbalance (mega imbalance) from when I was 5 I have to have another MRI scan to see what's happened. I'm so worried about it, what if they find something serious like a tumour? (that was basically what I had last time a tumour which contained the female hormone.)

Hula - hope AF isn't coming for u,

trix - try again in a few day's hon, I did send u'rs out (honest).

wend - ((((((hugs))))) hope the injections are not too much to bare, take each day at a time and tues will soon be here, we're all rooting for u.

bev - how r u feeling today hon? (((hugs))))

bella - how r u getting on? u're CD24 now arn't u?

tabs - thanks for the info on the hormones.

cp - blame it on DP's cooking (that's what I do!)

Tabs · 27/05/2005 09:27

Well I'm not an expert at these things, but her doc didn't seem bothered by it. I agree with your logic though - I would have assumed the same. But she's not the only person I've known who's found out quite late on, so guess maybe we're assuming wrong? Also, just want to add that getting BFNs around 4 weeks definitely shouldn't be a cause for concern, because it may just be that the embryo implanted later than average. The 'norm' is 7-10 DPO, but it can vary either way by a few days. eg I'm confident (from my chart) that mine implanted no later than day 4. So if it varied the other way then it would literally have only just implanted at 4 weeks, and wouldn't have had time to build up the hcg.

Sorry, long and inconclusive answer! How about starting a new thread on the pregnancy boards to find out the latest that anyone got a BFP?

HandbagAddiction · 27/05/2005 09:16

Tabs - good to know thanks! However, maybe I just don't understand this HCG stuff very well - but if you're not producing HCG quickly enough....wouldn't that threaten the success / viability of the pregnancy?

Tabs · 27/05/2005 09:01

Morning ladies - I just wanted to offer a bit of hope to those of you whose AFs are late but are still getting BFNs. One of my close friends was over 7 weeks before she managed to get a +ve HPT. Her doctor told her that she just wasn't producing HCG very quickly, but she now has my 1 year old godson to prove that this wasn't a problem!

Trix1 · 27/05/2005 08:52

Good morning, I did another test this morning thats three in three days and again a BFN. Still not af, I have sickly feelings but I dont know if I am imagining them. I normally come on on day28 without fail now on day 30.
