I forgot to say hi to clairebear! I don't think we have met! I wish you the best of luck with your TTC journey. I really hope the IUI works for you. I'm sorry that you have to lose weight. It does seem unfair for you but I hope that you keep your chin up and move forward with a smile on your face. You will get that baby that you have been longing for.

Pink, I took Clomid because of PCOS. I got off the pill at the end of June this year and DH and I TTC for all of July, Aug, and Sept but I didn't get one period...hence no ovulation. I went to my RE who I had been seeing for yearly checkups since diagnosed with PCOS and she put me on Provera to induce a period and started me on Clomid in October. As far as timing goes, my RE told me dates to TTC on based on my cycle dates. I think it was basically every other day between CDs 14 and 20. I also take my BBT each morning so I was able to tell the date when I ovulated which was CD 18. I also had ovulations pains the day before, the day of, and slightly the day after ovulation.

Hi all

Its so good to hear some success stories as there was a dry spell for quite a while.

Breif fert history - age nearly 33, no dc, ttc for 2.5yrs, had all the tests but all they found is kinky tubes and a high cervix, 6 months of clomid in 2008 and 6 months in 2009 with no luck.
I havent been on for a while as I thought I was thinking about TTC too much. I finished my 6months of clomid in Sept with no joy, went to FC and they have put me forward for IUI but I have gotta get my BMI from 33 to 30 ( 2 stone to lose ). It makes me so mad that there are all sizes of women who can fall naturally but I have to fit into a certain size just to get the child I long for.

Hello to all that remember me and hello to newbies. virtual wave x

Sevans Problem is i just don't know when to do it. DH starts to feel it is mechanical so i ahve to time it just right but obviously not sure when to do it. Can i ask why you were taking clomid?

Debicemmy2 what cycle are you on?

Debicemmy2 · 17/11/2009 19:09

Hi Pink I too have endo....reasons I am on clomid is the endo and my age(which I worry about, lots) I am 41.....Clomid as made my cycle longer for sure and it is well known for it hun. Hope that helps a little.
Hope your all well and and keeping you faith.

Pink, I really don't know what Clomid will do to your cycle as far as making it shorter or longer. I never had regular periods. I took 50mg of Clomid and this was my first cycle. My day 21 results were 33. Don't worry about asking too many questions. I am happy to help!!

Pinkali37 · 17/11/2009 15:56

p.s. i once tried doing the basal temp thing but each mornign i woudl jump out of bed and then think "bugger" i'm supposed to take my temp before i move.

Sevan- what was your day 21 result? What cycle of clomid were you on and at what amount? Sorry for all the questions. x

Pinkali37 · 17/11/2009 15:47

SEVANS thank you for that. Do you know whether if my cycle was 36 days after having my DD, will clomid keep it at that or make it shorter????

sevans · 17/11/2009 14:22

Hi Pink. I was fairly dry this last cycle and didn't have any EWCM. I had guessed I ovulated because of my temperature rise and ovulation pains. Sure enough my day 21 bloods confirmed it.

Pinkali37 · 17/11/2009 09:36

Question: can you ovulate and not have the egg white? i.e. on Saturday morning and i had a really sharp pain in Ovary but no other sign...

Jojo1984b · 16/11/2009 18:00

Hey all hows it going?

I think i have ovulated, i had a sharp pain on the left yesterday only lasting a couple of seconds, and the same on the right this morning!

The only problem now is finding time to BD as his lordship started a new job today and is fairly tired and stressed!

So we are going out for tea to celebrate the job and im going to ply him with beer and use my best seduction techniques later !!

Good luck pinkali37! Im getting good vibes from here now

Hello

Right brief resume of me and my fertility:-

Got diagnosed with severe endometriosis and endometriomas in 2007. Had 2 operations and was told by my consultant to try clomid (even though professor of IVF told me i would never conceive without IVF). I was waiting for next AF and discovered i was pg totally naturally. Had a MC and it utterly broke my heart but did show me that everything worked. (ooh should also mention that DH had had a vasectomy 15 years ago and a reversal in Nov 2006 and has 33% of good ones). I started clomid at 50mg in the December and didn't ovulate for 2 months then on my 3rd month and following a course of accupuncture i conceived again (also had just ordered from the DR's 3 months worth of clomid at 100mg to start the next month). I ended up having a successful pregnancy and gave birth to a beautiful daughter on 1st November (2 weeks early) at 38 weeks.

ANYWAY... i am now desperately TTC #2. Tried 1st month naturally and failed and have just started clomid (as had some left over) at 50mg this month. Am on day 15 but don't seem to have any signs of ovulation. Before having DD my cycle could be anything up to 50days and following her they calmed down to 36 days. Should clomid make them even more regular????

sevans · 16/11/2009 14:24

Thanks ladies! I'm going in today to do blood work and hopefully it will confirm my BFP. I am somewhat in disbelief about this!

Hi girls! Just wanted to let you all know that I got a BFP using a First Response test this morning! I am going to the doctor tomorrow to do a blood test so hopefully it will confirm my BFP.

stac14 · 14/11/2009 19:48

Hey jojo I felt jealous at first but then felt that of course I would support her as she is one of my oldest friends but luckily for her she had af last night so she is overjoyed, said she is defo not ready to have another child yet. She also offered to be a surrogate for me if I needed her, which was lovely but not something I would take her up on. How are we all today? I am ill, was very sick last night and I am now loaded with the cold going to watch xfactor then bed me thinks oh and af has appeared again think I need to call the docs xxx

Jojo1984b · 13/11/2009 20:33

Tell me about it stac! My sister is pregnant and she is 16!!!!!

There is no way she would get rid of him(just found out its a boy). She has now moved in with her boyfriend and he is a bit of a loser, a nice enough lad hes 21 and has his own house at least. Still has not got a job yet though!!

I also felt like a terrible person when she first told me but im over it now and happy for her, as long as shes happy i am and will help her any way i can. xxxx

stac14 · 13/11/2009 17:33

Hi ladies rant alert I am best friends with 2 sisters, just got a text from one of them saying the other thinks she may be preggers, I want to be happy for her but her dp is a lazy no good idiot who doesnt even have a job to support thier first child let alone another one, I know it sounds really selfish but I know she doesnt want a baby at the moment because of her situation (they are skint) which makes it even worse. I have to admit my first thought was I hope its a false alarm, but my rational thought was to feel sorry for her. Feel like such a bad person!! Sorry for going on, but really didnt expect this.
How are the rest of you?? xxx

sevans · 13/11/2009 14:30

Hi girls! Yay for the three follicles jojo! Best of luck! Still no AF for me....but still no BFP. Today is CD35. I have no clue what is going on. Yesterday I had ovulation pains similar to what I had when I was ovulating. All too weird. My temps are still up. Is it possible with the Clomid to ovulate but not get AF naturally if no pregnancy? I think I may call my doctor today.

LiLew · 13/11/2009 11:30

That's great jojo! I've never had a scan for follicles - I wonder why that is.

Anyway, I agree with you - try even harder hehe!!

I hope you're right that there's some BFP's coming our way soon - I love a good success story!
