tembie... When i was prescribed clomid the first time i got pregnant on round 3 at 50mg so there is hope! Have you been tested for Endometriosis or PCOS? You need to go to your GP and tell them everything! I was with a consultant for my Endo however managed to get the clomid prescibed through my GP. The only testing i got was a cd21 blood test to see if i had ovulated. I am now on my 1st round of clomid praying for it to work but am taking the tablets i had left from previously so am not having any monitoring. Monitoring varies from consultant to consultant. Some people have scans others like myself do not. your DP is being most unreasonable and how the hell does he expect you to get pregnant if you're stressed???????????

JOJO spots are a sign of your hormones... what do you think happens when you're pregnant???? i'll give you a clue.. THEY GO CRAZY don't be defeated until AF comes. What day are you on? i'm on cd24 (i think).

stac14 · 25/11/2009 21:37

Hey sevans I know how you feel, I seem to be worrying myself sick at the moment too, it could be my 13th week before they scan me, dont know why. To make sure I was still pg I took another test (strange the things we do) pink is right we need to relax and let nature take its course, have you been telling people? we have kept it quite low key

Hey thislittle and tembie so sorry af got you, I know it sounds cliche but the second I stopped stressing about ttc was when I fell pg.
tembie DH can be so insensitive about the whole thing, has he had sperm checked? my dp was a nightmare to pin down for that. As jojo says its us going through all the crap the least they can do is grin and bear it. My gp prescribed clomid then sent me to fertility specialist at the local hospital, you may have told us before but do you have a diagnosis?

Hey jojo and welcome to the thread gilli

hope I havent missed anyone xx

Jojo1984b · 25/11/2009 21:22

Forgot to say tembie my clinic monitors me i have a CD12 internal ultrasound to see if there are any follicles and from the size they can tell you roughly when they are going to pop. The first month on clomid i had bloods done but they said i dont need to now so just have the scan

xxxxx

Jojo1984b · 25/11/2009 21:18

tembie ask to be referred to your nearest fertility clinic, mine is in the maternity wing of the hospital by me. I went and saw the fertility specialist he was sooo lovely. I had a few blood tests first and my partner had to do a sperm test. From that they deduced that he was ok but i wasnt ovulating. They gave me the prescription for clomid there and then. It only took a couple of weeks altogether. There was a bit of a wait for an apointment but i told them i could come at short notice if they have any cancellations and they phoned me back 20 mins later and they had a cancellation for the next day!!

Your DP is being seriously unfair, as men generally are. Mine is the opposite to you, hes very blase about the whole thing. I told him when my fertile time was but trying to get him to BD was hell! Im like i have to put myself through hell taking these drugs everymonth, the least you can do is have sex with me! What a hardship!

Got 7 days to wait for AF but i think its coming now, a big spot has just erupted on my face like it always does a week before . I had really got my hopes up as well.

Sorrt for long post

tembie6699 · 25/11/2009 18:33

God why me .....AF arrived today and i have never felt sooo low in my life DP isnt taking it very well at all -its come to a point of he is threatening to leave me if i dont get pregnant pretty soon , am sooo upset , at him for saying that and not being understanding ....at the same time I cant seem to find a solution to why I am not getting pregant ...2 cycles of Clomid from my GP is South Africa and that hasnt work - so i guess as aman he just assumed it would - so werent being monitored ....I have dicided I am going to try and get Clomid from my GP here and be monitored whilst on it what do i need to say or do ? My doc knows that were are seriously trying for over a year and a half but we havent discussed Clomid .....do they give it as a prescription straight away or do I have to way for months on end to get started ......am sooo anxious .....i love Dp and i know deep down he loves me .....but its sad for him to see all his friends and age mates having kids and its not happening for us ......its the stigma behind being childless in the culture and environment we live in - the funny thing is that all MY friends are in the same boat as me .....TTC ....all 5 of us seem to be having the same problems ......i think the pill should seriously come with a warning ......sorry for the rant but I am really fragile , i even had darker thoughts and....i just dont know ladies ....if only i had known i would have to go through hell to achieve a little happiness and fulfilment in my life ...God knows i have struggled in my life .........so why me ....

Pinkali37 · 25/11/2009 18:28

gilliflowa Right.... Happy head, happy body! I also have SEVERE endometriosis and endometriomas and have managed to have a baby after being told by an IVF specialist (a Professor) it would NEVER happen naturally. My husband also only has 33% good sperm due to having a vasectomy for 14 years and only in 2007 having it reversed. I very surprisingly got pg naturally but miscarried very early. After the utter upset i soon started to believe in my body as it showed that things could happen! I then fell pregnant on my 3rd cycle of clomid, ALAS, what i am trying to show you is that there really is hope. i know someone that tried 6 cycles of IVF all failed and then fell pregnant the month it all finished and totally naturally (i know ) The month i also got pg was the month i relaxed a bit more and started accupuncture. Why did you only have 1 cycle of clomid???? How old are you???

Sevans i'm here to help..

Right.... i feel awful. Thought the sore throat was clearing however it has come back with envengence and brought a few nasty tongue ulcer things with it, OWCH.... feel miserable! on CD24. Lovely DH has just offered to run me a bath and fetch me a vodka so things aren't all bad!?!?!?! ha ha.. think it was the Christmas shopping that has put me into a bad mood!! mental note, that was what computers were designed for (internet shopping)!!! xxx

sevans · 25/11/2009 14:39

pink - thanks for your post, it really made me feel better! I am going to try and relax and not worry the next several days before my first scan next Tuesday. And I am going to try and stop imagining the worse happening. I should be more optimistic and positive about something so joyful! Thanks again!

gilliflowa · 25/11/2009 11:06

hey all,

My first time here. I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo 3yrs ago. Had 2 laparotomies and 1 laparoscopy in the space of 2yrs. Did 3 cycles of IVF after my 2nd operation (laparoscopy) in Dec 2007. Unfortunately all three attempts were unsuccessful. My last operation (laparotomy)was in July 2008. I immediately went on the pill (jasmyn) after my last op and went off in May this year. The pill prevented cysts from coming back but also prevented me from falling pregnant. Tried one cycle of clomid in June this year but nothing happened :-(

I feel so hopeless as most of my close friends are pregnant.

Pinkali37 · 25/11/2009 08:36

Littlemissmischief i'm really sorry that AF has arrived i know how you feel, both my best friends are pregnant!! xx

Sevans when i was pregnant i felt constantly like something was wrong because my sister was also pregnant (7 wk's ahead of me) and she was stereotypical and i was not. I didn't have morning sickness instead had food aversions for about 2 weeks around 7 weeks pregnant. then it just suddenly stopped which when i told my MW she worried and told me i had to have blood tests to check my hormines were doubling ok. In the end it turns out it doesn't matter and that around 8 weeks pregnant your hormones stop doubling as quickly. From someone who has been there and had 8 scans throughout her pregnancy first being at 6 weeks 5 days, don't worry and try and enjoy it!! Trust me that the baby is SO resiliant (sp?) and if i manage to get Pg again i am going to make sure i enjoy it this time as i spent 9 months worrying previously.

Debicemmy2 TEST but with a clearblue digital.....

Sorry for long post. xx

Littlemissmischief · 24/11/2009 21:57

Hi Ladies, Im sorry I havent been around much, been having a really tough time lately so have kept myself to myself. My Dad has been really ill and been preoccupied with that, but was getting excited as I was on CD36 today but AF has just arrived so feeling really down now and cant stop crying, it doesnt help that 6 of my friends have announced they are pg this month and although I am happy for them it is like a knife in my heart everytime, it sounds over dramatic but I know you ladies will understand.
I am worried now as I dont think I should be getting to CD36 if Ive ovulated, but I spoke to the consultants sectary on yesterday and she didnt seem to think its a bad thing, i got to CD32 last month and know I ovulated because I had day 21 bloods done but dont feel so sure now, anyone else had the same experience?

Just noticed a couple of BFP well done Stac and Sevans - so pleased for you girlies x x

tembie6699 · 24/11/2009 19:42

Dont worry Sevans am sure everything will be just fine .....am still waiting for AF to come ...boobs are just sensitive however my temp maybe high due to this horrible nasty flu i have .......am under pressure form DP to test but am now actually scared of testing in case its a negative ...i have booked an appointment with the doc on Friday so am saving my good test for that morning ....(miracles do happen)....xxxxx am trusting God for mine...x

sevans · 24/11/2009 16:54

stac, I'm feeling fine which kind of worries me. I had some fatigue and occasional cramps the last week and a half but not so much anymore. I am still peeing more than normal. Today I am six weeks based off my calc. I was fully expecting to at least get some sickness by this point. I am counting down the hours until my appointment next Tuesday when I get an ultrasound because I worry myself sick that there is the possibility of a miscarriage.

Debicemmy2 · 24/11/2009 16:49

Hi everyone....can I ask do any of you feel really sick just before your AF arrives? I am on CD31 at the mo, last month my AF came CD32.... mth before CD31. I feel sometimes its on its way then the feeling goes. Im so worn out and worried with waiting so maybe thats making it late...just wish I knew. Hope your all well
Lots of baby dust coming your way *

stac14 · 24/11/2009 16:16

thanks pinkali think I am just worried cos its been such a long time since last pregnancy but nice to hear its normal. I was ill for about a fortnight there with a flu, sickness and the other and like you i rarely get ill so maybe your the next to get on board hun

jojo I found the clomid made me emotional too, dh will understand its the tabs and not you, you may also have something implanting at the moment sending your hormones all over the place lol. I dont have sore boobs but same as sevans my nips seem massive and v red

clairebear I totally agree about the clomid it is not a nice drug apparantly femera is much kinder to woman but its hard to get it prescribed. I think the weight loss was the factor in falling pg as I have lost about 2 stone from last year, which led to 3 af's in a row up until october when I thought it was the pcos causing it to go away (3negative tests also made me think I was pg) but defo am now lol.

sevans how are you feeling?

sending lots of baby dust to you all xoxoxox

sevans · 24/11/2009 15:28

Jojo, my boobs were sore soon after ovulation and continue to be today. Not as bad as what you describe, but definitely sore and tender. Another thing (sorry if this is TMI) but my nipples soon after ovulation got bigger.

It sounds good for you, tembie and pink! Babydust!!!

clairebear88 · 24/11/2009 14:08

Hi all

Big congrats to Stac im so happy for you. Maybe it was that couple of pound you lost lol. Please stay on here and keep us updated with your news.
Im not on clomid either anymore but all us girls are still in the same boat ttc. I didnt realise how bad clomid made me feel until I have come off them. I was premenstral all the time and boobs felt really sore when due on. the worst thing was tiredness, i feel like I have so much energy back.

Good luck to you all x

Jojo1984b · 24/11/2009 11:57

Thanks Pinkali i really hope so.

Just burst into tears cos the cash machine swallowed my bank card and had a major go at hubby even though its not his fault !

Pinkali37 · 24/11/2009 11:30

Good Luck JOJO really hope this is it for you! I didn't have a stereotypical symptoms when iw as pregnant last time so of course worried about everything! My boobs hurt for 2 weeks and that was it from about 5 weeks. Most peoples hurt from quite early on so who knows this could be quite a good sign for you! x

Jojo1984b · 24/11/2009 10:44

Well last night i had mega sore boobs, as in i couldnt even move my arms across my chest is was that bad! Woke up tis morning and they feel worse if anything. They feel really heavy like 2 sacks of spuds! I have a little puppy an she just put her paws on my chest and i nearly flung her across the room it hurt that much!! Not sure weather its just the clomid? I didnt have anything like this last time though. Trying not to get my hopes up as we only did it once before ovulation.

Has enyone else had enything like this?

Hope everyone is ok!

Pinkali37 · 24/11/2009 10:03

Hi All,

Stac14 What fantastic news and surprise!!! I had a lot of cramping when i was very early pregnant. A lot of pain in my ovaries as well (i thought i had one of those cysts that are common in pregnancy), alas it all died down and everything was fine so i wish you the best of luck!!!!!!! xxx

tembie How long is your cycle normally? With DD i tested on cd27 and got a positive with a clear blue digital (not the new one with conception time but the one that just said "pregnant") so i was 3 weeks and 4 days!!! I was shocked!!! I swear by the clearblue ones as it saves all the hassle of the cheaper ones not giving the right result. I really wish you lots of luck! xxx

Bodeccia Welcome. I got pregnant the first month i had accupunture which was my 3rd month at 50mg on clomid.

So.... i am on day erm... can't remember CD23 and have had a nasty sore throat. Sounds strange but i am never ill and the last time was when i was 6 weeks pregnant and i got a chest infection (immune system was obvioulsy fighting for the baby). Sounds silly but it is giving me hope although i don't think we did it at the right time, although saying that Sevans you have given me hope by letting me know when you did it!!! Thank you.xxx

tembie6699 · 23/11/2009 22:28

stac14 · 23/11/2009 20:19

hey ladies
thanks for all your kind wishes, went to docs today and she says everything seems fine so I am jst waiting to hear from the hospital. have had lots of cramping (its been going on for 2 weeks) but the doc says its just my ligaments stretching so not to worry unless theres any bleeding, but I am still very nervous probs because it has takend so long to get here and as I havent had a baby in 10 years lol

keeping my fingers crossed for you jojo it would be a lovely xmas pressie

how are you all ladies? hope you dont mind me hanging about but have grown quite attached to you all xxxx

nigelslaterfan · 21/11/2009 23:26

I can't remember how long I took Clomid for but it was over six months and I now have a dd who is 14 months old.
There was hardly any evidence that I was ovulating before I took Clomid so it seems to me to be the most likely factor in my pg as we'd been trying for years without success before that.
Pg was fine and she is perfect. I'm amazed as we'd all but given up because I'm over 40.... Fingers crossed for everyone here.

Jojo1984b · 21/11/2009 23:10

Great news stac! I wonder who will be next?!

Just a waiting game for me now im on CD18. Dont think it will be my lucky month as hubby started a new job this week so has been tired and a bit stressed and we havent been able to bd much. Just once on CD10 the day i had my scan. She did say the follicles were ready to pop so maybe there is a little bitof hope there.

Oh well maybe next month we will get an early christmas present

Hope everyone else is doing good xxx

stac14 · 21/11/2009 12:31

tembie is right I took 3 cheapies in october when af was due and they were all bfn but the docs one yesterday was very positive as was the clear blue digital I did last night, think I just want to keep doing tests to see if its real lol. Leave it another couple of days but your symptoms seem promising hun

Good luck to everyone and thanks for your support xxx
