I had tried checking the position of my cervix, but I think that's a skill that takes many years to learn!

BeaB · 22/06/2009 13:41

Yes thought that might be the case but curiosity got the better of me! Might try charting my temps next month. At least that way i will feel like i am doing something to help

Clwc · 22/06/2009 10:23

Hello all,

Welcome BeaB and Attila to the thread

I am 30, ttc #1, had 2 cycles of Clomid, but wasn't being monitored at all, so stopped taking it. I am approx CD 43/44 today. Have had spotting, but no period so far.

I hope it works out well for you, BeaB Claire Still thinking of you x x x

Beab

They like to see a value of 30 or more.

Would advise you not to use OPK's at all if taking clomid; it can make the OPK result inaccurate. Clomid can encourage LH levels to rise; the kit may well be reading that. Also many women with PCOS have an excess of LH to start with; this is also why usage of such kits is inadviseable.

BeaB · 21/06/2009 22:30

Thanks Stac14.

Does anyone know what value should a day 21 progesterone be to show ovulation has occured? x

stac14 · 21/06/2009 21:19

Hi

Thought i would give this a go! Am on my second cycle of clomid 50mg, have got my day 21 bloodon tues, so fingers crossed i have ovulated. I am not sure, did have a positive opk on cd 11 but am not convinced as seemed early! I am starting to find it all quite hard to deal with

History
1x miss jan 08, trying to conceive ever since with no joy. ? pcos

Clwc · 20/06/2009 21:32

Hello Claire,

I understand why you don't want to get your hopes up after the elation you showed when you got your BFP. It must be awful to go through it all.

I've just run a nice hot bath with every bath bubble or shower gel (except DP's Lynx) I could find in the bathroom! My nerves are almost shot at the moment because DP and I are going to one of those 'free' holiday presentations in the morning - I started a thread about it. I need to relax. I hope you can have a relaxing evening too. x x x

Hi Clwc

I have never really felt pregnant but my boobs are still tender and my stomach has really popped out so i just really dont no what to think, Im really preparing myself to hear the worst on friday so i dont get to dissapointed. This is such a hard time. XX

Clwc · 20/06/2009 20:39

Hi all,

I'm still waiting for AF. I had a bit of spotting yesterday and 3 days ago, but nothing today. I'm just a few days behind you, stac.

Do you still 'feel' pregnant, claire?

OP posts:
claire001 · 20/06/2009 19:57

Hey Stac

I had a thing called a HCG done and that was where they flooded my tubes with dye so they could see if there were any blockages, That sounds like the same sort of thing.

How do you feel about coming off clomid? XX

stac14 · 20/06/2009 19:49

I am on day 45 I think, no more clomid for me as its not working, have to go for an echovist scan but its not till 6th august so just going to keep bding and hope for the best. I didnt ovulate again this month so the consultant decided that I needed some more tests to see if there are any blockages in my tubes, if so it would be straight to ivf so hoping alls ok. Have you had it done? xxx

claire001 · 20/06/2009 17:01

I think they are waiting just in case but i dont no why coz they were so certain, What cycle are you on at the moment? X

stac14 · 20/06/2009 16:54

can you not ask them to do it sooner or are they waiting just in case? xxx

claire001 · 20/06/2009 15:45

Hey Stac

They just said that the sac had more than doubled in size and you should definetly be able to see the fetus and a heartbeat but the sac was empty, The woman that done the scan said that it is most probably a missed miscarrage coz everytime she has done a scan like this it never turns out right. The worse thing is having to carry on for another week with a small dump abd my body still thinking its pregnant. I would just love to go in for the d and c on monday and get it all out of the way so i can try and forget about it. xx

stac14 · 20/06/2009 12:02

Hey claire hope your gettin lots of tlc hun, are they certain you are mc? I know that sounds daft but there may be some hope xxx

claire001 · 20/06/2009 09:33

Hi Girls

Thankyou all for your support. Iv woken up this morning with quite a saw stomach so wondering if i am going to miscarry soon, I hope so then i can start again (that sounds a bit sick i think but i no the pregnancy isnt going to work out) As soon as everything is done and i have my d and c we can get trying again. XX

stac14 · 19/06/2009 18:13

{{{hugs}}}*Claire we will keep hoping its a different story next week hun, get tucked up and lots of tlc. Take care chick xx

Bubblebell1 · 19/06/2009 15:08

claire im so sorry. i too hope that its a mistake and that when you go back you can see a heartbeat.

thinking of you in this difficult time xxx

Clwc · 19/06/2009 14:47

OMG, Claire That's terrible news! I hope so, so, so much that they're wrong. There's still that 5%. Dear Lord. How unfair You poor thing. Is someone with you to make you lots of cuppas and take care of you? Go and have a relax in the bath, and we'll understand completely if you don't want to come back on here for a while. Take care x x x x

OP posts:
claire001 · 19/06/2009 14:41

Hi Girls

Just got back from the scan and they are 95% sure that it is a missed miscarrage. The sac had doubled in size but just nothing in it, They said i should be about 7 half weeks. Iv got to go back next friday so they can do another scan then book me in for a d and c

Clwc · 19/06/2009 10:14

Go as close to day 21 as you can, and voice your concerns about the +ve OPK while you are with the doctor.

OP posts:
Bubblebell1 · 19/06/2009 08:51

Morning girls

How are you all?

i just wanted to ask a question...

i have been asked to do a day 21 test to see if the 50mg clomid worked this cycle. Do i go on day 21 or 7 days after the positive opk??

TIA

claire001 · 18/06/2009 12:48

Hey Stac

Iv been feeling ok generally, Very Very tired tho and my boobs have balloned and are very saw. My Stomach has kind of popped out a bit aswell which is weird coz im so early it might just be because i have got a very petite frame.

How are you? What cycle are you on? XX

Bubblebell1 · 18/06/2009 12:04

Thanks girls,

claire, this is my first go on clomid. so havent got a clue what to expect. while i was taking the tabs i felt fine but since ive stopped taking them ive been the wife/mum from hell.

clwc unfortunatly i dont ovulate regularly without clomid. (think ive ovd twice in 8 months)I havnt been offered a scan but the dr has said to have a day 21 test. (thats a week tomorrow). I am suffering with the lack of cm and BDing is uncomfortable now.
I ususally temp but DS2 is waking alot during the night and im worried that it will interfer with the chart. i will check my cervix tho and contine with the opks.

Have any of you used preseed?
