Clomid Attempts and Successes 2

Hi Girls

How is everyone?

Went in for my scan yesterday and they confirmed that the baby wasnt growing but the sac was (sac had grown to over 5cm) Got to go into hospital on Monday morning at 7.30am so that they can do the D and C sometime after that, I will be out the same day so that isnt to bad,

I have read so many different things on the net about when you are allowed to start trying again and alot of people said between 1 and 6 months! but spoke to the nurse yesterday and she said that its fine to start straight away as long as i feel ready, so im going to start clomid Monday night as if i have just come on so then hopefully will ovulate again this month, I dont think i will fall quickly like alot of people do after a D and C but the sooner i get trying the sooner i can forget about the past month. XX

thenewsmoo didnt they want to try anything else since the clomid didnt work or did you choose to go for IVF? I'm hoping thats the very last resort for us. Whats the waititng lists like for IVF? xxx

Hope you're ok, Claire...sad news for u.

I wentto cons appt lastwek. We have now been referrred for IVF as clomid hasn't worked(took it for 8mtsh- (6 mths prescribed but I was given extra tablets so kept taking them)but to no avail..

Had to have more bld tests and clamydia test! Feel ok about referral as at least there is another hope. Just waiting to hear from the clinic now. There will b no more contact with the hospital or doc 4 now.

hey stac awk august thats wick.
is that an hsg. i had one of those done although it was b4 i started clomid, its like an xray kinda thing n they insert a tiny catheter and put the dye through it, u can see ur tubes on the screen... i started crying as soon as i went in cos i didnt know wot to expect but when it was over i felt like a d**k cos it was nothin 2 worry about.
when have u 2 go in and get it done?

im well chuffed to be bk on the clomid again.. im still jus on 50 mg as the first 2 times i was on it i ovulated but the third time i dont think i did and plus i wasnt being monitored the third time so we will see when i go up on the 7th for the scan and see if i have ovulated.

Hey stac14...no plans for this weekend at all being lazy and relaxing this weekend..just waiting is killing me really hope i dont come... now on CD 26 still nothing so fingers crossed.

The consultant has told me if my tubes are blocked then it will be IVF but hopefully thats not going to be the case, but I think you can do IUI too so maybe that would be an option. I will know nothing till August which seems to be dragging in

Hey lauren I'm good thanks, on hold till August as I have to have an echovist scan see if there are any blockages in my tubes, apparantly they do this after the clomid in case there are any problems so trying not to worry. Bet your chuffed to be back on the clomid, what dosage this time hun?

just got my internet bk on after moving house so thats why i havent been on in a while...

stac hows things wif u... got my results bk after gettin my cervix cortorized so everythins fine jus have to go bk in 6 mths for another in depth smear.
took my af yesturday after not havin it frm february n got in touch with my consultant straight away so start my clomid again on monday... yea
have been booked in for a scan on the 7th july to see if ive ovulated hopefully i do.

hey claire how r u... sounds like a blighted ovumn that u had, thats exactly wot happened to me the sac was growin n my tummy was gettin bigger but there was jus no baby there.
i know theres nothin i can say to make u feel any better but jus want u 2 know im thinkin about u, its not easy

Hey Girls Well i am absolutly shi**ing it, Im so nervous about tomorrow but i dont no why coz i no what they are going to say. Its so silly but there is a part of me that is so hoping they say they can see something but i no deep down that nothing has changed and that i will need to have the D and C done on Monday.

They didnt tell me really anything...they done the scan and told me that he could see 3 very large eggs in my ovaries and that the clomid worked to much.. next thing he said was dont have sex this month until after ur period and well see about maybe letting u take the clomid day 1,3,5,7,9 so id be skipping a day each time...he said i want make sure they are eggs and not cysts soo he took blood i called few hrs later nurse said blood showed very high signs of estrogen which means they were eggs and not to have intercourse until after my period.and thats all they said... didnt mention when they would think i would ovulate.... the only thing im on is the clomid and thats all...
really stressing me out now.

askim think its the hospitals perogative to confuse us so we ask less questions, I didnt get scanned but got bloods done on day 21, 28 and 35 to see if I had ov'd he may have said in the next 35 days as sometimes on clomid your cycle is longer. Do you have to take provera to induce af?

hey everyone quick update... i took ppls advise and want against what the doctor said and have been having looks of unprotected sex since the day i had the appointment. at the appointment i no the doc said very high change or a mulitple birth but that doesnt bother me, he said if i dont have sex until my period i def will have a period cd30 soo im on now cd 24 soo just have to wait and see what happens... im a bit neieve to how this all works, he said i have 3 massive eggs, do they get reaslised 1 by 1 or all at the 1 time???help understanding is needed lol.xxx

what u find strange is that everyone on here talks about getting blood take on cd 21... i dont have to get that... on the day of my scan which was cd11 i got blood taken to check to see if the 3 eggs were def eggs and not cysts, i had to call the clinic 5 hrs later for results when i called the nurse said ur blood shows that ur estrogen in ur blood was really high and there were def eggs and not to try for a baby this month becos it would lead to twins or triplet.... they never once mentioned when i would maybe ovualted or anything... im baffled by all this.. the doc said that if i dont have sex then hes certain i should have a period before cd 35....hmmm but why cd35 this would mean i would have a cycle for 35 days and my normal cycles are 28days..

I took clomid in 2003 after unsuccessfully trying to conceive. My cycle is and still is very erratic. I had to take the drug provera to make me bleed so I could take the clomid. It was the most frustrating thing, every month absolutely nothing. I can't remember the dosage but I started off on the minimum dose, then double. Then on the day I was due for my hospital appt I naturally started my period. My consultant said that the clomid wasn't working and was going to refer me to a different hospital. I asked him if I could have one last go with the clomid because I felt because I'd come on naturally it might make a difference. He agreed to give me more but didn't really think it'd make any difference. I took it and didn't really give it much thought. About 6 weeks later I was cleaning my bathroom when I came across a test. I did it and it came up positive! I couldn't believe it! And to top it off when I went for my 12 week scan I found out I was expecting twins who are now 5! It was so frustrating and many tears were shed especially as so many of my friends were pregnant. Keep trying!!!

Hi Clwc

I go in this friday for my last scan then they are going to book me in for the following monday (29th) to have the D and C. One minute im feeling alright and the next im feeling really down and unhappy.

I had a hsg done and it was fine, The lay you on this big bed thing and have this big machine over you (it looks like an x ray machine) and they put a speculam in like a smear and then put the duy in with a little tube, the only thing i felt was the speculum and it was over and done with in about 10 mins. XX

Hey scuttler welcome to the thread, I am no longer taking clomid as it didnt work for me, but I have pcos and sometimes clomid doesnt work with it. I have hsg on 6th Aug just in case theres a blockage so they know what our next move is. Was it sore?

I was taking clomind for 4 months in total and didnt ovulate the first 2 months then did the 3rd and again on 4th which is the month i fell pregnant but unfortunatly had a missed miscarrage which is getting removed on Monday.

What dosage are you on? How are you finding the symptoms? XX

hi, i am new to this site. I am 30 and ttc for two years. i have been on clomid for two months now. i had the pelvic ultrasound, blood tests and hsg - no PCOS or blockages in my tubes but tests showed i was not ovulating unfortunately. i have been for day 24 blood test today and hope to get results soon as to whether or not the clomid has worked and made me ovulate. Has anyone else had the same issues and if so, did the clomid make you ovulate and how long did it take? x

yes, not so sure about that one!!

Clwc are you still going to take the clomid, are you just waiting for af?
