Clomid Attempts and Successes 2

yup it's my first month.. physically at first i felt nothing(50mg day 2-6) and then around day 9 could feel my insides beginning to swell and it got a bit uncomfortable.. by day 11 it was quite uncomfortable.. i was scanned 3 times in the lead up to them deciding whether it was ok to proceed i.e. not too many follicles and i was given the go ahead on day 12 with 1 lead and two follow up follicles.. they gave me a hcg injection which triggers ovulation.. had major ov pains the next day and some "not fresh" spotting 2 days later which i assume was from the explosions in my ovary! for the next 7 days i was demented!! swollen aching raving my digestion was shot (i have never felt so unladylike!!) it felt like it was building and building and then on sat i was in the horrors.. all i can describe it like was it was as if i was in absolute agony but there was no actual pain.. like all my nerves were screaming but for no reason, then sunday i woke up... fine.. by the end of the day my tum was less swollen and by monday my belt was back to the usual notch and .. well here i am now.. all day today there have been achey cramps and i'd have sold my soul for a bar of chocolate.. pms symptoms or what! i know the hcg inj can hang around for 8-10 days but i should be clear of that.. either the clomid is messing with the second part of my cycle (or the hcg) and i'm testing too early or i was briefly, like for a few days, "pregnant" and now i'm not and the HPT is picking up the tail end of that.. i shouldn't be asking you lots of Q's and raking all that's happened to you up again Claire001.. i'm so sorry.. it helped me a lot after my m/c to read lots of posts and talk to lots of online people but after a while i read so many sad stories and realised how many many people are out there suffering literally aching to the point of insanity that i had to stop cause i was just absorbing all the sadness..

wishinandhopin seems like we're in the same boat, "unexplained, on clomid" the girls are right get as much info and be as closely monitored as possible, you only have a few goes with the clomid so make each one count..

will do another test in the morning.. got a digital one so no is it or isn't it there this time..

just spoke with gyno.he was nice enough to call me at home. Going back on the 2nd round of clomid on day 5 of my cycle. Here we go again. I didn't have too many side effects on the first round, the only to note was HOT FLASHES. Oh dear, now I understand what my Mom is going through.LOL.
Any of you girls have any luck with OPK's on clomid??Ive heard mixed messages. Some say they're great others have said the clmid can cause it be inaccurate???

Is this your first month on clomid? Iv found clomid ok really, The first 2 months i got quite down and unhappy while taking it but the last 3 times have been fine, Just get lots of hot flushes, XX

I've had all the bloodwork my gyno could give, and hubby had sperm tested (he's fine) then I had both and ultrasound and dye test to check my fallopian tubes, all was fine, so he told me it was unexplained infertility. So I'm on clomid without much direction. Asuuming I ovulated, but seem to have done so much too soon. I think I will take your sound advice and wait to see him before I take clomid agin.

had a m/c in Nov 2007.. golly that really is a long time ago now that i see it written down.. it was pretty severe and ended up in hospital as it was a natural m/c and it got kind of out of control while trying to deal with it at home .. didn't suspect a thing until i actually started to bleed.. day before my 1st scan.. was so upset but after a few months we started to try again, 2 years later nothing, not another m/c not even a "chemical pregnancy" .. on clomid now at my own request as dp and i diagnosed with "unexplained infertility".. got faint but coloured line within 1 minute on test last night and repeated it this morning hoping it would be stronger.. it wasn't.. will test again tomorrow.. but i'm not confident.. there are so many variables.. with the clomid i've no idea what it's done to my cycle or me.. any ideas? how did it affect you?

Have you had a misscarriage in the past then? Are you taking clomid now? X

Usually clomid is taken from days 2 to 6 of your cycle.

I guess you did not receive a diagnosis prior to taking this either. This is poor practice on their part. You need a diagnosis first and foremost as to why your periods are irregular and or non existant. Common causes for this btw are PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) or thyroid imbalances. You should have been ideally evaluated properly to see if either were present before starting the first clomid course.

Also your man should be tested as a matter of course now to see if there are also male factor problems.

Clomid is quite powerful stuff and it is not always suitable for all with ovulation problems to take. Also you should be monitored whilst on it as you will have no way of knowing whether its working or not otherwise.

I would try and talk to the gynae subfertility unit first off before taking the second lot of clomid.

If intercourse happens to be consistently painful (rather than a one off occurence) do mention this to the gynae as well as this can be indicative of endometriosis being present.

I need advice. So I started clomid July 14th. I didn't wait for my period to start because I never get my periods. They are very random, and my Dr told me not to wait, just to start.
So I took the 5 pills 50mg. DH and I went to work for a week straight, and today July 28th AF arrived. Last night when DH and I were bding it was a bit painful, and now today here is AF in all her fury.
I can't get into my gyno until August 17th and really don't want to waste a month if I don't have to. So I'm wondering what you ladies would do if you were me......should I begin a second dose of clomid for the next 5 days. And if so what days of your period do you start taking it. (having never started the first round on my cycle I don't know what days to take it)Sorry for the novel, but I know you ladies have been through it ALL, and may be able to offer me some advice

on first clomid cycle (50mg)

CD 24, expecting AF thurs or fri(unless clomid or hcg lengthens cycles - i forgot to ask doc/nurse)

got faint pos line on HPT this am.. (first response - up to 6 days early one).. hands up.. stupid move

completely terrified.. it's been 2 yrs since i've seen more than one line on a test! (ended in m/c at 12wks)

any chance this is left over hcg from trigger inj i had on 16th (CD 12)

CD 10 - CD 18 felt like abdomen was going to explode, digestion shot, psychotic.. had a day of ov pain after inj and bleeding 2 days later just for half a day..then it all just suddenly stopped 3 days ago.. bloating gone, not such a demon etc

anyone else have any experience of stupidly testing early and, well, ending up totally gaga? and potentially heartbroken..

Hi jen sorry you've not ov'd yet but you may just be late wait till cd 21 for bloods, I know exactly how you feel bout the pcos our bodies seem to have to work so much harder nightmare!!

Hey claire glad you had a lovely hol, how have you felt this month back on the clomid? yeah I am looking forward to getting the scan out the way but so scared in case its sore (heard various different stories)

Well had my scan and as I expected I wasn't ovulating so they are doing day 21 bloods and then uping the clomid to 100mg so will have to wait and see if that makes a difference. I hate PCOS its so annoying! Hope everyones having a good day x

jen you could have ov'd on the clomid on your first month, Claire and I were just unlucky for the first couple of cycles, for me its cos the clomid doesnt work for me, with Claire it worked when the dose was increase so dont be disheartened.

hey girls have been havin the most horrendous pains, phned my doc on fri and she says its far to early if she brought me in 4 a scan so have to wait til 4th aug 2 get 1, but pains feel very familiar to the ones i had last time so not getting my hopes up, we r just actin as if we are not pregnant and then mayb it wont hit us that hard this time if it is bad news.

Think its to early for implant bleed hun soz to be the bearer of bad news, an implant bleed would normally occur around a week to 10 days after ovulation although you may have ov'd early will keep my fingers crossed for you xx

Hi Girls.
So I'm looking to pick your brains. I'm on clomid. Took 5 pills starting July 14th. Was told to start TTC July 21st. So hubby and I had intercourse Tuesday and Wednesday, and tonight(Thursday). But after intercourse tonight I had some pinkish (assuming blood) discharge. It's way too early for my period, but is it too hopeful to think it may be implantation bleeding from just 2 days ago??
Probably wishful thinking, but I just thought I'd ask if any of you ladies had experienced it?

well ladies af isnt due until saturday, but did a pt this evening and it came up PREGNANT 2-3 wks cant get my head round it but not gettin 2 excited until i hav a scan after wot happened last time.

dreadin goin to my consultant as she told me not to try at all this month cos of the many eggs i released, im sure im in for a good old telling off.

2 weeks stac thats great then u will be able to get answers and try another method, hope u keepin well.
