Hi all
Lauren hope you feel better soon rest up - you are going to need your energy!

I caved this morning (cd60) and did a test BFN guess it was what i expected but still upsetting especially as an hour after that my bro rang to say his son been born this morning.

Guess ive just got to wait for the witch to rear her ugly head so can try again. Going to go back to docs and try and get referred on and maybe ask for another lot of clomid.

hope you all having a good bank holiday weekend.

I hope all of you are doing great also.

I see new faces on here... Hello!

urmagic · 21/08/2009 08:43

Hi
I started on 50g of clomid 3 days ago. After trying ttc for 2 years failed ivf in Dec private clinic rec we did not try again as hopeless with my eggs. So started new year planning exotic holidays and accepting no babies. Then unbelievable pregnant in Feb but miscarriage in April. Back to doc and now here on clomid. Not sure where my wee head is just looking for support.

LiLew · 20/08/2009 14:35

Well I've read lots of clomid success stories, which keep me going! But looking at the statistics they don't look that great. I am so scared that I can't have children, but I think that makes it worse. Everyone (Dr's & Consultants as well) say that the best thing you can do is just relax and forget about it, as worrying about it will make it harder to fall. There must be some truth in it, but it's VERY difficult just to forget about it!!!!

I can imagine how tough it must be for you. Lets hope the Clomid works for us all eh?!

xx

saraross · 20/08/2009 11:38

Hello!
No ive not started the clomid yet as i am taking provera to start my period then i start the clomid on day 2 of bleeding! I wish you all the best in getting pregnant lilew! how successful is the clomid as the figures arnt thaT good only around 30% of women fall pregnant with in 6months of taking clomid?? I am soo desparate for a baby and am finding the wait very difficult as my husband has a daughter from a previous relationship and it is ever so difficult to know that another woman has my husbands baby and that is all i want to have is our own baby together. Obviously i love my step daughter to pieces and that will never change i have had her in my home since she was 4months old so i have always known her and we are very close she is 3years old now and we have shared custody so we have her alot of the time but i really want my own baby too. It is an agonising wait infertility is such a difficult thing to live with and so unfair i just didnt know who else to talk to as no one i know seems to have problems like i do and they dont understand they always say 'oh dont worry your still young you will have kids one day' im just finding it so difficult to wait for that day! i may only be 24 but i have always been desparate for a baby and my whole world fell apart when i was diagnosed with pcos. i just want to be pregnant now!

LiLew · 20/08/2009 11:06

Oh how horrible for you peju25! See if you can hold out just a little bit longer before testing again. I think you've got the right idea waiting till the beginning of Sept, but I know it must be so hard. I've got all my fingers and toes crossed for you!!

Welcome saraross! I think my situation is a lot more simple than yours, in the fact that I'm just on Clomid as I'm not ovulating. I'm on my 2nd Cycle of Clomid now and I'm trying to stay positive and hope that I full pregnant in the next few months. Have you started taking the Clomid yet?

xx

saraross · 19/08/2009 20:10

Good evening ladies,
My name is sara, i am 24 years old, I was 1st diagnosed with pcos at 22years old.
I am now married and have been trying to concieve for the past year with no success. i have had my tests which show i am not ovulating and have just been perscribed Chlomid. To bring on my period i am taking provera for 7days then starting clomid on cd 2. I am really happy and have my fingers crossed for a postitive pregnancy test within the next 6months. I already take metformin. I am of normal weight but also have underactive thyroid which affects fertility but i take thyroxine for this. Any one in the same boat? or have any success stories to brighten my day???

so hard coz i know there is not a lot of hope n it prob just a missed cycle but cant help wishing!!

xkelly1x · 19/08/2009 13:44

hey LiLew....Fingers crossed for this cycle for both of us iv started my clomid again today its that last 2weeks which is a killer.

It must be the side effects from the clomid then because i felt terrible a few days before and i do now. i cant wait to get them out my system just hope it doesnt take to long to get preggers. x

LiLew · 18/08/2009 13:49

Hey xkelly1x! What a bummer AF arrived

Oh well, maybe this next cylce will be a lucky one for both of us! I'm on CD7 - finished my last Clomid yesterday.

I have to say, I also felt quite sick before and during my AF, but I put that all down to being in my head. Maybe it is the Clomid if you're experiencing it too? I always need to go to the loo anyway, so that's normal for me!

x

xkelly1x · 18/08/2009 13:23

Hiya...well AF came this morning totally gutted, still feeling strange tho with feeling sick all the time and needing to go the loo more than ever maybe its just the side affects of Clomid....Fingers crossed this next cycle of clomid works ill be starting taking my 2 to 6days tomorrow

Baby dust to all x

LiLew · 18/08/2009 12:19

Oh I do feel for you both having to deal with pregnant women around you. On one hand you're happy for them, but on the other it just makes you feel really low. I know someone who has just given birth, and their baby wasn't even planned

peju25 - that's a long cycle you're having! It must be driving you crazy!! Is this your longest one so far?

The headaches have started for me now, and I woke up in the night with hot flushes. Oh the joys of Clomid!!!

x

Vics32 · 18/08/2009 08:33

Hi all,

Peju25, I know exactly how you feel. There are four women in my workplace who are pregnant. I have taking to eating on my own so I don't have to sit and listen to them in the staff room. It is very hard, I get angry and then cry usually

Lilew, I had cramps and was really grumpy. Not terribly patient. Seems to effect me emotionally. AF is 2 days late, which is unusual for me, I wish it would just sort itself out so I can move on to next month!

Love to all x x
