Hello everyone.

im really after lots of advise.. first time on here,nd not sure of all the abbreviations! lol.

im lead to believe i have POCS,i havent had a period for 2years,so they have me provera.which i took for 10 days and hav my period on the 14th day!
im on day 12 of my cycle(never been so exited to have 1!!lol)and took 100mg clomid, ive also been taking metrofomin 1500mg,i had an internal scan on friday, 1st 1 and said that my folicals are small, they are 6 she said they should be 18 or above to realse eggs(not sure if that mm or what)
to be fair, i havent been given much advice and find it a little frustrating!

i was sick on the clomid. ive constantantly felt un energentic/tired since taken medication.(im genreally quite energentic gym person)just fell like want to curl up on the sofa every day!also feeling dizzy.and was getting massive headaches.whcih have stopped now for a few days!

ive seen comments of here of people releaxing!!?? Gym or chill? lol

really open to loads of advise girlies

popsy1 · 06/10/2009 19:17

Hi ladies, hows your week going so far?
Well, i had my cons appointment today and as i thought nothing really came of it. Got clomid for 2 more months and then another appointment, although the earliest date i can get with my cons is almost 3 months! The only positive is that they are now giving me cd21 blood tests to check progesterone, although reluctantly.
Cd 31 now.
Littlemissmischief, i also take clomid cd 2-6. Haven't a clue what the difference is.
lockets24 all sound very positive, how long til you start clomid? mumsnet has been grat for me both on this thread and when i lost my baby boy, really helps 'talking' to those that know!

stac14 cant wait to get going on the clomid!! Basically i had my scan last night and apart from a 17mm cyst on left ovary all is great, the sonographer said i should fall pregnant quite easily on it so that was very positive!
All the sories are really helping me to keep positive about it.

Sevans - Glad you had a nice weekend,I was told to take my Clomid on CD2-CD6 not sure why different docs tell you different things and whether it actually makes a difference, can any of you other ladies shed any light?

Hey Tembie - glad you had none of the dreaded side affects! Good luck x

sevans · 05/10/2009 17:18

Hi everyone. Hope your Monday is going well and you all had a good weekend. My weekend was nice. DH and I went out of town for a wedding.

stac we may be starting Clomid at the same time. When do you expect AF this month? I have no idea when mine will come. Today is day 7 out of 10 of Provera and who know how long after the 10th pill it will take for AF. What days do you all take Clomid? My doctor told me 5-9.

stac14 · 04/10/2009 18:44

Hey lockets24 welcome to the thread hun. I bt your just raring to get started with the clomid, all the girls on here are great and loads of support. Do you have a diagnosis? I have pcos, dont think I would have got through all this without mumsnet

littlemissmischief forgot to answer about clomid dosage, I am on 100mg waiting for Octobers af then will start again, I must admit i'm not looking forward to it, hate how it makes you feel sometimes but so want a baby will do anything.

Hows everyone else? All good I hope, we are still stripping ds bedroom, whoever invested woodchip is a fool xxxxxxxxxxx

popsy1 · 04/10/2009 18:41

millymolly83 · 02/10/2009 22:13

hi stac ye am fine now just waiting for next month to come it was scary at the time

Clure · 02/10/2009 21:57

sevans - I think the temperature shows where your progesterone rises and if you are taking provera (which is progesterone) then you will be likely to see temp rises. I have long ago abandoned taking temp or using OPKs as my hormones are all over the place!

sevans · 02/10/2009 21:04

Hi girls. Just checking in for the day! Things are fine with me. Today is the fourth day of Provera. Still no AF but I'm not expecting her to come just yet. Do any of you take your temp in the morning to try and track ovulation? I take mine and have noticed an increase in temperature these past four days because of the Provera. Interesting.

I hope you all have a great weekend and I'm keeping my fingers crossed and sending lots of babydust for you!

Clure · 02/10/2009 20:02

yes am dipping into both!

Littlemissmischief · 02/10/2009 19:41

Clure Im on CD14 today so praying that your right with your diagnosis

Are you still on the other thread, i kind of check on both lol x

Clure · 02/10/2009 19:13

hi thanks!

Littlemissmischief - yes I'm from the other thread too! Your symptoms sound a bit ovulatory. Where abouts are you in the cycle?

This egg share thing is a difficult business. i'm on the other end of it - again not sure how i feel about it

hi stac!

Littlemissmischief · 02/10/2009 18:47

Hi everyone,

Popsy - Hope the old red witch dont show up for you hun. Also good luck for Tuesday, let us know what the say x

Welcome Clure im sure I saw you on the other thread but hey x

Stac - what dosage of Clomid are you on hun? Its good your doc listens to you and have given you the metoformin to try.

Eveywoo - keep up the fighting spirit hun, its all that keeps us all going hey?

Well Ive been having wierd belly aches again today. The only way I can describe it is when you are dying for a wee and your lower belly feels really full and heavy and its hurts when you move, dont know if this is Clomid related or ovulation related, but I hope so. Other than that, nothing much exciting happening here lol x

eveywoo77 · 02/10/2009 18:36

Thanks stac14 will give it ago have got hospital in 2 weeks for follical scan so will ask then ( got nothing to lose I suppose) Have spoken to DP about egg sharing and he said he aint to comfortable with it but said he will reconcider after our 12 months is up. Im also looking into IUI as an option as you can do this along side clomid and its about £500 a go which seems abit more realistic a goal for us at the mo IVF is just way out of our reach not that ww e are at that point yet we have a little more fight in us yet. So here we go again lets hope the July bus stops at my stop this time!!take care all xxx

stac14 · 02/10/2009 18:23

hey clure welcome to this thread, how are you getting on?

eveywoo soz af got you, I am in a simalar situation as you, I only ov'd once within our 6 months being on clomid. The cons told us we would not have anymore assistance as I have DS, he offered us the egg share programe where they take my eggs and donate them to someone else, this reduces the cost of the ivf to £700 which is great but we arent ready for that yet. I asked him if we could try metformin as its used for pcos not just fertility so he has agreed to this and a further 6 cycles of clomid which I will take at next af. Maybe you could ask for this assistance. What my cons reminded me was that I am not completely infertile its just harder for us to get pg.

millymolly glad to hear all tubes are sorted must have been scary at the time, how are you now?

popsy hope af stays away for you hun, when i was pg with ds I got cramps for the first 2 months. nice to see someones cheery for the weekend.

Is anyone doing anything exciting for the weekend? xxxx

Clure · 02/10/2009 17:58

hello, hope you don't mind me joining. have been posting on another thread and have spotted some familiat names here.
Noticed sevans your question about provera. I have done three cycles of clomid and had to take provera for 2 and it looks like I may have to take it again for round 4. For me I haven't found clomid regulated my cycles.
My background is trying to conceive number 2, I had my DD (now 4) on first round of clomid. I'm 42 and consultant has told us that ivf with donor eggs is our best chance. Its a lot to consider, meanwhile I have 3 more rounds of clomid to try!

popsy1 · 02/10/2009 17:37

Hello ladies. Yay its the wknd , what a long week!!
Poor you eveywoo, its so disappointing, it can be hard to pick yourself up and start all over again. Fingers crossed next month is a good one for you x I have my cons appointment on Tuesday and i'm hoping they're not going to say the same to me. Ive already had clomid for 9 months and now 3months, so don't really know what they will say!
I'm on cd27 and feeling af is on its way , but will have to wait and see.
sevans, i used to have periods virtually annually and cloimd regualated me when i was on the right dose, i took northisterone to bring af.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend, think we could all do with some luck xxx

Littlemissmischief · 02/10/2009 09:35

Oh eveywoo im so sorry hun {{{hugs}}}. I cant believe they have said they wont give you anymore help? Im afraid I dont know anything about IUI but im sure someone one here will do x x

Millymolly - Glad your ok and can now get back on the Clomid wagon! Ive been told the same by the doctor, she said she cant seem any problem with me getting pg so hope she is right! Im ok thankyou, just got really sore boobs and stomach cramps but am sure thats all normal.

How everyone else? x
