Littlemiss - I'm crossing my fingers for you! I hope your results are fantastic! tembie - I'm sorry to hear about the pressure you are getting. Please don't lose hope. Your symptoms sound like you may be ovulating! Best of luck!!

Last night I took my 10th Provera pill. I thought today was my last day so I was pleasantly surprised last night when I opened the bottle to see just one pill left. Now I am anxiously waiting for AF.

I hope each of you has a great weekend!!

tembie6699 · 09/10/2009 14:24

hi all - the past 2 days have been really hard for me - so much pressure to have a child its unbelievable , if its not my hubby , its my mum , his mum, our friends ...its constant - am actually starting to believe it may never happen.....

on another note am on CD13 toays - currently experiencing lower abdominal pains ..the pain is significant when i walk ...its also quite sharpish ... .having read other peoples comments i understand it usually means its ovulation time ..please note am not being monitored for my Clomid ...so am on my own ......

Littlemissmischief · 09/10/2009 10:28

Just had my CD21 bloods done - so fingers crossed i get a good number next week!

Kimpin - been reading about the baby asprin but can only find things saying it can cause miscarrage and not too take it without a doctors say so but will defo speak to my doc about it when I see her next x

Hows everyone else? x

kimpin · 08/10/2009 20:54

Also, this baby aspirin is apparently good for those who have recurring miscarriages - again, with the thinned uterine wall..if nothing happens for me this month, I am going to check with my doc about taking a baby aspirin for next time.

kimpin · 08/10/2009 20:49

Littlemissmischief - the only difference is just a lower dosage..that's all -

Littlemissmischief · 08/10/2009 20:43

Kimpin - I am a serial symptom spotter and am sure I do have pg symptoms, the only one I had with my DS to begin with was sore boobs, which i have had for the last couple of days but then could be the Clomid or just me, im really trying not to get obsessed with it all. I will look into the baby asprin it sounds very interesting, how is it different to normal asprin?

Thanks for looking that up Sevans, i was wondering about that, although i suppose i could have looked it up myself if i was that worried lol.

Duelingfango - sorry about your miscarrage hun, I must admit I have heard so many people say that got pg very quickly with clomid but miscarried and im really worrying about it because it seems really common, you might have a point with the poor quality of the follicles, I am also taking mine days 2-6.

DuelingFANGo · 08/10/2009 20:30

Sevans, I have read that too. Am on clomid from day 2 -6 but not sure why. My cycle is quite short so maybe that? All I know is I got pregnant straight away on clomid but then miscarried. They said it wasn't the clomid but I do wonder if the quality was crap.

kimpin · 08/10/2009 20:22

Littlemissmischief - oh, I forgot to ask...have you any preg symptoms yet? ANy feelings?

kimpin · 08/10/2009 20:21

Littlemissmischief - from what I read about baby aspirin, it appears to increase blood flow to the uterus, allowing for thicker & healthier uterine lining. Clomid apparently thins the lining, so some recommend taking baby aspirin when taking clomid. Kinda interesting - I have never heard of it before, but have recently read lots about it. You should google it..check it out.

sevans · 08/10/2009 19:22

Hi girls! I did some quick research on google to see what the difference is of taking Clomid on different cycle days (2-6, 3-7, 5-9). Apparently you are more likely to produce more follicles the earlier in your cycle you take Clomid, but these follicles are of lesser quality than the follicles you produce by taking Clomid later in your cycle. So, earlier = higher quantity and lower quality and later = lower quantity and higher quality. I don't know how correct this is. Like I said, I just researched google. Please correct me if I am wrong. I would just suggest following your doctor's orders.

stac it would be nice to be cycle buddies. I have no idea when AF will arrive. Tomorrow is my last day of Provera and I am really hoping that AF will arrive soon after so I can get started!

Littlemissmischief · 08/10/2009 18:44

Hey Popsy - I so understand what you mean, I have seen so many BFN now I dont think I can handle one more or I will crack up! Although I was told by my cons if i didnt come on by CD33 then to assume I was pg, not sure if this varies from person to person but really hope its the case for you

Kimpin - thanks hun, hope the Clomid does the trick for you (and everyone else) too. Ive not heard of baby asprin, can you elaborate please x

kimpin · 08/10/2009 18:31

Littlemissmischief - I hope for you that this is the month Has anyone heard of taking baby aspirin while on clomid?

popsy1 · 08/10/2009 18:31

Hello all, i hope you are all well and those horrid side effects are being kind!!

Welcome kimpin

Well CD 33, still no AF not sure what to think really.Haven't dare to a hpt yet, keep putting it off, mainly because, i'm sure you ladies will understand, is once ive done a hpt if its a bfn (which im sure it will be) i have to deal with it. Does that make any sense???

stac14, they haven't said what the next steps are. That'll be a 'lovely' xmas pressie for us to look forward to! My appointment is 22nd of December!!

Littlemissmischief · 08/10/2009 16:29

Your welcome Kimpin, we girls have to stick together right . This site is so good for that because me and lots of others I have spoken too have not told people we are ttc so its good to have somewhere to speak to people. I have been ttc for just over 2 years and this is my 1st month of Clomid, im on CD20 so just playing the waiting game at the moment x

kimpin · 08/10/2009 15:34

Thanks Littlemissmischief - you are all so welcoming..so nice. How long have you been on clomid? and ttc?

kimpin · 08/10/2009 15:18

DuelingFANGo - Sorry about your mc - I had 2 before I started clomid.
I don't know if it is 'usual' or not...like I said, I am new to this too - I am still learning about clomid.

Littlemissmischief · 08/10/2009 15:16

Hey Stac - your not the bearer of bad news hun, i know they may not be ready monday, just typical mine falls on a friday so I have the weekend to interfer I will ring monday just incase tho, my i'm impatient!I also sympathise with the tonisiltis, I had it for years but finally got mine taken out when I was about 14 I was then promised I would never have a sore throat or anything again, I then got glandular fever and always have sore throat so that didnt work out! lol. Hope you have a nice time away x

Welcome Kimpin - Glad your enjoying the thread, it is great speaking to people on the same boat isnt it. Im not going through the exact same thing as you, I'm 26 but I too have a DS and have secondary infertility. However I dont ovulate hence the Clomid I am on round 1 and feeling very you didnt have any side affects cos mine have been evil. Good luck hun x

Duellingfanjo - I take my clomid on CD2-6 too, i think it depends on your cons and your circumstances not sure why tho? x

DuelingFANGo · 08/10/2009 13:25

kimpin, I was given clomid despite ovulating already. I am 39 and trying for my first. I got pregnant on the first round but then miscarried. Am now on round 4. Also haven't had any scans since the first lot.

Is it usual to take it on days 5-9? I have been told to take it days 2 - 6.

kimpin · 08/10/2009 13:22

No blood tests or scans...doc just gave me 3 months rx of clomid & a referral to a specialist if not pregnant after 3 months...thought it was kind of strange..but doc seemed pretty confident about this drug..

stac14 · 08/10/2009 10:21

Hey sevans think af is due round about the 16th what about you? It will be nice to have a cycle buddy lol I am on metformin and it seems to be regulating af for me. I used to take provera and af came about a week after I stopped it but I took 3 tabs per day for 5 days. Any signs of yours yet?

littlemissmischief my docs called me if I had ov'd but if your getting bloods done on friday it may be tuesday before results as they close at weekend (soz to be the bearer of bad news)

Welcome to the thread kimpin Your so lucky not having any side effects with the clomid lol. Have they checked your bloods or done scans to see whats going on?

popsy have they said what your next move is after these 2 months?

Glad your well tembie good luck hun

Hope everyone is well, I have tonsalitus starting which I can be doing without as we are going away next week, I would rather stay at home to get this house sorted, its like steptoes yard cos we are stripping it so it can be decorated when we're away (nightmare lol) Take care xoxoxoxoxox

kimpin · 08/10/2009 01:49

Hi girls,
I am new here...here's my story I am 36 yrs old - we have a beautiful little boy - 2yrs, and have been TTC for a year. I am scared about secondary infertility. I ovulate each month, but not getting pregnant. Doc gave me clomid for 3 months- 50mg 5-9. Just finished 1st round of clomid - day 13 - no side effects...just praying that we will be lucky this month. I am wondering if anyone here is going through the same thing? Any success stories at my age on clomid? We soooooo would love another baby. I love this forum. I really enjoy reading your stories.

Littlemissmischief · 07/10/2009 00:04

Thanks Popsy, mine will be done this friday so I will ring on the monday afternoon and pray that I ovulated! x

sevans · 06/10/2009 22:44

Welcome CSparks! You are a little ahead of me in the game. I am on my 8th day of Provera (out of 10) and I will begin my first round of Clomid once my period starts. Hopefully mine will start soon after the 10th pill like you. I'm really excited to begin Clomid. DH and I TTC for three months but I didn't ovulate that whole time and got no period. I also have PCOS. I'm sorry to hear that the Clomid made you sick. I believe one of the girls said it may help to take the pill at night. The doctor started me out with 50mg. Anyway, good luck! I'm sure some of the other girls will be able to give you more advice than me!

popsy1 · 06/10/2009 21:04

Littlemismischief I phoned for mine the next day x

Littlemissmischief · 06/10/2009 20:57

Hi ladies,

Can any of you tell me, how long after you have your CD21 bloods can you ring for the results?

Hope everyone is ok x
