Aww Lilew, I'm sorry that the wicked witch arrived. I hope you are feeling better now. You're right, it is great that you at least ovulated this month! What days are you taking Clomid, what is your dosage, and how long have you been taking it? I am about to start my first round. I am taking 50mg days 5-9 and tomorrow is day 5! I'm really anxious.

kimpin - I take my BBT each morning and have been doing it for the past two months. I didn't ovulate those months so I never got to see ovulation in my charts. I am about to begin my first month of Clomid so I really have no idea how my BBT will react to the Clomid. I did some research and it seems that the Clomid may make your temps rise the days you take the pills but you should still be able to detect ovulation by charting. Hopefully I will ovulate this month from the Clomid and hopefully I will be able to detect it from my BBT chart!

kimpin · 13/10/2009 13:52

Hello girls...does anyone take their BBT while taking clomid? IS it accurate? I am presently on day 19 - had major pressure and cramping on day 16 for 2 days...now I feel fine. I've been taking my BBT too, but it seems kinda wonky...does the cramping and pressure normally indicate ovulation? I don't think I will do BBT anymore...way too stressful. By the way, I am on my own...not being monitored by a doc - doc gave me rx for 3 months and a referral to a specialist if not pregnant after 3 mo.

LiLew · 13/10/2009 13:09

Hey girls

As expected, AF arrived today . I feel like poo and have just eaten a bar of chocolate to try and cheer myself up! I forced myself to go into the office today to try and take my mind off it otherwise I would have just sat at home blubbing all day!

Anyway, on the positive side, at least I actually ovulated this month! So, that means no going down the IVF route for the time being (which is what my cons said would be the next step if I didn't ovulate this cycle).

I've spent the morning planning a potential holiday to Australia next March so that has made me feel better! I should be working, but hey!

Anyway - onwards and upwards. And so it all starts again!..

popsy - My CD21 falls on a Friday and I spoke to the doctor today and she wants me to come on the following Monday to do the bloods. That would be CD24. You are just a little ahead of me this month. I take my first tablet on Wednesday.

Littlemissmischief · 12/10/2009 22:38

Popsy, seems like a brilliant plan hun and a great excuse for some pampering, am gonna doef use that one

With regards to your bloods, I was told to have it done after the 21st day NOT before and she said it was fine to be a couple of days after. HTH xxx

I also want to thank you all for your kind messages and support you've all helped me so much x x x

popsy1 · 12/10/2009 21:51

Hi all. Feeling better today, took first tablet today and gunna try and relax this month. Booking myself a massage, having some retail therapy and a couple of weekends away this month. Need to have some fun, rather than have my head in my diary stressing over dates, times etc etc. (Please feel free to remind me of all this when i'm starting to stress later in the month ).
littlemismischief it must be very frustrating not getting your results. i'll keep my fingers crossed a lttle longer for you x
lilew well done, a step closer. Good luck hun.
A quick question ladies, my cd21 falls on a saturday; do i have bloods done on the friday cd20 or wait till Monday cd23?

Lots of love xxx

Thank you again ladies for all your words of support over the weekend, you've been fab

sevans · 12/10/2009 19:11

Lil congrats on ovulating! I know that must be super exciting! I'm crossing my fingers that this is your month!

littlemiss I'm so sorry that you aren't able to get your results today. How disappointing after waiting all weekend to find out you have to wait longer. I will also keep my fingers crossed for you that your results are good!

I just spoke with my doctor because she wanted me to call after AF came. I guess I am not doing the ultrasound monitoring because she didn't mention it. She just told me to make an appointment on Nov 3 for the blood test. She also gave me a list of four dates to TTC but I am thinking of going at it more dates than that!

Littlemissmischief · 12/10/2009 16:22

Dont be silly Lilew you didnt know
I hope AF stays away for you hun x

I Just rang gyane and they said someone should be manning the line so I left a message and hopefully someone will get back to me. x x

LiLew · 12/10/2009 16:13

Ah sorry Littlemissmischief - there's me rubbing it in and you've got to wait another couple of days!

I had my blood test done last Monday, then I went away so didn't think to phone them until now.

I had a feeling that I'd ovulated though - I almost knew at the time.

Feel like AF is going to come soon though. Very slight cramps have started

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for Wednesday - let us know how it goes.

xxx

Littlemissmischief · 12/10/2009 16:08

ARGGGHHH . Ive just rang the cons secteray for my blood results as asked and she is on holiday till wednesday and there isnt a number for anyone else to contact, so been sat here stomach churning all day and now have to wait another 2 days to find out, I know its not that bigger deal but just wanted to know, plus if I didnt ovulate an d need to go on a higher dose there is no chance I will get in to see her before my AF will start so thinking im going to miss a month now.

Its silly but i feel so now, just want some good news for a change.

Congrats Lilew thats great how long did you have to wait to get your results? x

LiLew · 12/10/2009 15:46

Woohoo! Just thought I'd share this with you girls: I called the hospital for my blood test results and it turns out that I ovulated this month!!

I know this is very normal for most women, but for me it's not!

I am soooo happy - it's the first time I've ovulated since December!!!

xxx

LiLew · 12/10/2009 13:24

Hey Ladies! I've just caught up on all your posts - I was on holiday last week.

popsy1 - sorry to hear AF came. I know that feeling so well and it's really not nice. I'm on CD28 and I just know what's coming - I'm going to be feeling exactly the same as you did and reckon I'll be crying all day!! Even though I'm telling myself I'm not PG, there's still that little glimmer of hope which knocks you right back when AF comes!

I've tried reflexology - the first time I had it was the first and only time I ovulated since TTC. However, I have since had reflexology (pretty much once a month for the last 9 months) and it's not helped with ovulation since.

Hope you're all well! xxx

tembie6699 · 12/10/2009 12:55

hi guys just to let you know feeling more positive now .....just want you to know that i appreciate all ur support - where would i be with out you guys - i wouldnt be on clomid if it wasnt for you - love u all ..xxx

Littlemissmischief · 12/10/2009 10:47

Hey Popsy, I am only on my 1st cycle and have been given 4 months in total to try, the cons said she thinks i wont need that many so im praying she is right.

We DTD from CD8 - CD20 every other day and made sure CD14 too so hopefully we caught it, because ive heard conflicting bthings about clomid making you ovulate early and others say late so thats why we covered all bases. Thanks for the luck, think we might need it, sending you lots back xxx

popsy1 · 11/10/2009 21:10

Littlemismisschief, this will be our 4th month this time round, had 9 cycles of clomid 8 yrs ago, so they thonk this will be our last 2 months. How about you?
Think we were told CD 10, 12, 14 and 16, definately day 14. Ive used the clomid ovulation calendars on the internet and they say to start BD from cd9 every other day but dont say when to stop!! So if you've got the energy, time and opportunity keep trying
Wishing you lots of luck xxx

Has anyone tried aromatherapy or reflexology? Anyone had any success?

Littlemissmischief · 11/10/2009 20:30

Ah Popsy, im sorry hun . How many cycles on Clomid have you had?

Can I just ask, when were you all told to DTD? I was told CD9 - CD19 and defo on CD14 and 3 times a week, is that the same as everyone else? Not sure whether to keeping trying now this month, im on CD23 now?

How was everyones weekend? x

popsy1 · 11/10/2009 13:57

Thanks for your messages ladies, it does help having others to talk to. My DH has been great and is also disappointed but its great to have your support as well. AF arrived this morning so not a false test unfortunately. Did some research on internet last night, looking for some success stories, how long have people been taking clomid for? Lots of the stories i read had success within the first 3 months. I'm alittle worried that as i only have 2 months left it might not work.

How's everyone else? What stage are you at now?
Good luck sevans, keep us all posted.
xx

Littlemissmischief · 11/10/2009 10:07

Hey Popsy - sorry hun, i dont want to get your hopes up for no reason, but it took me until CD43 to get a BFP with my DS and i did ovulate on CD14 because my dates were acurate all the way through and he was born on his due date good luck x

Tembie - I hope your not feeling as down now hun, I know its hard but try to keep positive we will all get there!

Sevans - Good luck with the clomid hun

How are you Stac?

Well I have sore boobs and they are really hot and keep feeling sick and nearly was sick yesterday but trying not to get my hopes up (and failing miserably).

Babydust *

sevans · 11/10/2009 01:43

Thanks stac! I hope it's a good month for me too. I start Clomid day 5...so Wednesday. I'm following your advice and taking it at night.

stac14 · 11/10/2009 00:41

sevans when you starting the clomid then? keep my fingers crossed its a good month for you hun xxx

sevans · 10/10/2009 23:31

Oh popsy, I'm so sorry girl. I know it must be really hard for you today and I feel awful that you spent the day in tears. I really hope things turn up for you soon.

AF began her visit today. I normally would not be so excited for AF, but you all know that it means I get to start my first round of Clomid this week. I am going to try and stay positive and relaxed!

popsy1 · 10/10/2009 19:59

Cd 35. Did my hpt this morning n got a bfn. Can't tell u how gutted I am but I'm sure you've all felt similiar . No matter how many times I try and convince myself I'm not pg, to try and soften the blow, it still hurts like hell. I've spent most of the day in tears. Really close to giving up so fed up. Sorry for moaning but thought i'd post as I know u ladies will understand.
Xx

popsy1 · 09/10/2009 18:33

Hi all
Good luck littlemismischief i hope you have a nice high number . Last month AF arrived on CD32, but my cycles are sooo unpredictable i'm scared to get my hopes up. I'm abit like you an have seem so many BFN i not sure how i'll cope with another.
Any way how is everyone else?
xx

tembie6699 · 09/10/2009 15:27

kimpin - yeah its my first round - to be honest i never thought a pill would be what i needed to have a child - I remember DP & I spent a couple of years trying not to have an unplanned baby - how i wish i would have somehow known the struggles i would face trying to have one - my mum has been a pillar of support / however nagging about getting old blah blah blah ...- I am over-weight so am trying to have a child and also trying to lose weight at the same time ..."sigh" I trust in God ....xxxxxxxxxxxxx

kimpin · 09/10/2009 15:03

Littlemissmischief - oh definitely - I wouldn't take it either without consulting with doc first...I was wondering if anyone else heard of it...guess not.

tembie6699 - I am on day 15 - also feeling a bit of pressure...hope its ovulation... I am too on my own with this...little stressing. Is this your first round of clomid?
