So, STEP AWAY ladies!

Hi PME, how are they planning to treat it? Endo can't be diagnosed without a laporoscopy I am surprised tbh that they aren't referring you! Mine was diagnosed, treated and monitored by Gynae. I was prescribed provera tablets to stop my periods after having endo spots zapped with laser.
It is also worth getting a proper diagnosis, as if it isn't endo, the gynae can carry out further tests to find out what it is! I myself wouldn't settle for what your GP has said, I would ask to be referred anyway! Only my opinion sorry if I sound a bit of a know it all.

Hello everyone else, I am on day 5 yipppeee is it too early to test?

proudestmummyever · 19/06/2009 13:44

Thanks lucygrif Me too xx

lucygrif · 19/06/2009 13:32

awww pme, sorry to hear that. Hope you feel better soon xx

proudestmummyever · 19/06/2009 13:21

Hi girls, went to dr, was crying with pain ths morning, he gave me co codamol for the pain and said sounds like endo, but don't tend to send u for tests if treatable by the gp themselves, so...?? Hope u are all well xx

Clwc · 19/06/2009 13:15

I once went to the hospital complaining of experiencing a MC. They did a dip test, BFN, then spent the rest of the time talking to me like I was going out of my mind... Telling me I 'wasn't pregnant to start with', 'PCOS causes heavy periods', I should 'stop trying' and 'it will happen when I'm not stressing about it', blah, blah, blah. They made me feel very small. I think that incident has put me off going to doctors unless it's an emergency. I have no confidence that they will waste their time and money doing a blood test on me. Being as I am still here, I can wait a while longer.

I'm going to dig up a lavender and plant a cucumber to take my mind off all of this for a while. xx

PS It would take a great deal more to offend me. I realise that you are more concerned than nosey and interfering.

PistachioLemon · 19/06/2009 12:57

Phewee, I was worried I'd offended you for a minute.

You're funny. I won't be telling you to bugger off.

PistachioLemon · 19/06/2009 12:18

Yep, that's what I meant, sorry if I wasn't clear. My midwife friend told me that if your period is more than about a week later than your longest (recent) cycle but the HPTs are coming up negative you should get it checked out. I know you have PCOS but this seems like a very long cycle to me (bearing in mind I know nothing so please do take me with a very large dose of salt). Sorry, I'm probably being over-nosy and cautious - tell me to bugger off and mind my own business!

Clwc · 19/06/2009 12:05

PL, Do you mean a hCG (pregnancy) blood test?
It's difficult to say for sure how late I am because of the PCOS. If I had the perfect 28 day cycle, I'd be about 12 days late, but I don't have perfect cycles by any stretch of the imagination.

PistachioLemon · 19/06/2009 11:44

Sorry Lucy, cross posts.

Try again Sunday with your first wee if your period hasn't arrived yet. I hope it's good news for you. (hug)

PistachioLemon · 19/06/2009 11:43

What, that's ridiculous! My children are going to be deprived. I'm sticking to slice of cake, tissue to wrap cake in, balloon and possibly, if I'm feeling generous, some of that bubble stuff.

morning ladies, still no AF but got a BFN last night (6pm) my boobs are less sore and that "heavy" feeling has gone from my stomach - thought it was cramps but no sign yet. testing again sunday morning if the witch stays away.

ReneRusso · 19/06/2009 11:39

Oh yeah. Goodie bags have become a competitive sport I think and expectations are high. Necklaces, makeup, diaries etc, as well as sweets. Some of the stuff they get in the goody bag is actually better than the present we gave the birthday girl

PistachioLemon · 19/06/2009 11:29

Clwc, I think you should get yourself to the docs and ask for a blood test if the HPTs are coming back negative and you're feeling like that and your period hasn't arrived. How late are you now?

Rene, ah childrens parties, do they still get goodie bags with a slice of cake and a balloon?

ReneRusso · 19/06/2009 11:24

My weekend involves mostly chauffering my children around to various activities and parties. Oh well, at least it keeps them from making more mess in the house

Clwc · 19/06/2009 11:21

I do feel odd, but am I just looking into it too much? I thought I was having a heart attack the night before last. I felt weak and dizzy, and my heart started pounding out of my chest! This all happened when I was lying in bed trying to get to sleep. I also have a dodgy tummy, and I keep feeling sick. I wonder if I'm becoming a hypochondriac?

PistachioLemon · 19/06/2009 11:11

That single line is the worst isn't it, thats the main reason I don't want to test any more. Well, I'm very hopeful for you Clwc. Do you feel any different (can you see I'm desperately looking for symptoms to spot!)?

Iate, the opks are just like pg test strips but you do it mid cycle to tell you whether you're going to ovulate or not in the near future so that you can decide whether to get jiggy or not! These are just cheapy ebay ones so are not breaking the bank but they only test one hormone so it's not a definite you are going to ovulate, just that hormone is elevated so you are likely to ovulate IYSWIM. Mmmmm, pork joints for lunch on Sunday sounds loverly, fancy coming to mine instead and I'll have a picnic another time?

Rene, hello there! Having to keep your house clean and super-tidy while it's on the market is such a chore. I just used to run round like an idiot before the estate agents came round! Have you any plans for the weekend? DH is under no illusions as to what his task is this weekend (heh) so plenty of bonking, yes!

PME, hope you're feeling better this morning.

Why thank-you [curtsy] Hehe.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 19/06/2009 10:55

that sounds like a very sensible plan!

Clwc · 19/06/2009 10:49

I'm not sure about 'restrained', although it's nice to think I'm setting an example I just don't want to see that heart-breaking single line again until I'm feeling a bit stronger.

If I don't come on this weekend, then I'll try to remember to test early next week. ATM, if I don't remember to test with the first wee, then I leave it until the next day.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 19/06/2009 10:40

lemon well done on the 2nd line! Ive never used those what do they do? Sounds like you have a lovely weekend ahead of you! I invited myself to twins house for sunday lunch im taking 2 pork joints yummy!!

Lissie just an idea but why not use a test other than clearblue - do you mean your using cb digital each time??

Lissie and clwc its looking more hopeful each day for you no spotting etc! What days you planning on testing if no af this weekend?

pme - how are you this morning?? Hope your feeling a bit better! x

ReneRusso · 19/06/2009 10:40

Well done clwc - very restrained, you are an example to us all.
I'm ok(ish) - bored, bit depressed, should be tidying and cleaning house in case anyone wants to buy it. Have not even cleared away breakfast things yet.

Clwc · 19/06/2009 10:32

Hi Rene,

I'm about CD40/41. I haven't tested today. I'll wait a few more days to test again.

How are you?

ReneRusso · 19/06/2009 10:23
