I have a 10miu cheapie test in the cupboard, are they as sensitive as they actually say?

lucygrif · 16/07/2009 10:24

yep, trying to be strong until Sunday!!

Angelfifi · 16/07/2009 10:18

Lets be strong lucy i have to say i'm finding it hard not to test today, don't know why as i know it will be neg as it's to early, have you managed to stay far away from the dreaded tests!!

ReneRusso · 16/07/2009 10:12

crikey lucygrif, BDing every day . You deserve a medal

ReneRusso · 16/07/2009 10:10

26 day cycle so not til about Sunday 26th. Seems like lightyears away. I don't have much hope really for this month - just beginning to think there may be a problem, been trying 8 months. Also used a possibly non-sperm friendly lubricant at a crucial time. Silly, wasn't thinking.

lucygrif · 16/07/2009 10:09

angel we are cycle buddies then!! I'm also due monday, and have a test in the kitchen cupboard that has been screaming at me for the last 48 hours!! we can keep each other strong!! I have sore boobs again, so I don't think I'm in the running this month despite BDing EVERY day!!
Consultant not til Mon evening - will mention the egg sharing thing to them but I think we would both prefer to try IUI first as its less invasive.

Angelfifi · 16/07/2009 10:03

How long is your cycle? When are you due to test?

ReneRusso · 16/07/2009 10:01

Try to think of some distracting activities. Would you like to sort my laundry? It's such a drag isn't it. I'm on CD17

Angelfifi · 16/07/2009 09:45

I'm trying to stay away renerusso but it's harrrrd!!1
Just not liking that single line staring back at me..

ReneRusso · 16/07/2009 09:36

Angelfifi · 16/07/2009 08:03

Clwc · 15/07/2009 11:10

As long as they're not big bug hugs, PL! lol.

Usually, when I'm feeling a bit anaemic, I crave a nice fillet steak. I haven't been craving anything.

The doc will just say, "It's normal with PCOS" and "Wait until your appointment at the clinic on the 31st".

If I do feel ill or in pain, I'll go, but I feel OK. In fact, I'm going to the gym today. Perhaps a good workout will flush everything out.

They aren't normally this long, but I did take Clomid in April and May, which could have messed everything up. And it's light, so it isn't as though I'm losing gallons of blood.

I don't want anyone to worry. x

PistachioLemon · 15/07/2009 10:53

Bug hugs? NOOOOOO! I meant BIG hugs!

PistachioLemon · 15/07/2009 10:52

Hey there Clwc, how horrible - are your periods normally so long? If not, get theeself down to the docs...apart from anything else you could be getting anaemic which could explain why you're so tired (along with the PCOS). Bug hugs. Hope she goes away soon. x

Clwc · 14/07/2009 22:44

I feel fine, Angelfifi. Thank-you for asking I'm tired a lot, but I think that's been the same for a long time (PCOS related). If I had pains that felt more severe than ovulation, I'd be straight down the doc's.

It's light, and the day before yesterday I thought it was stopping, but it wasn't. I think the same today. I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Angelfifi · 14/07/2009 13:58

Hi all,
Sorry nunnie damn af, fingers crossed for next month.
Blimey clwc long time for af to hang around, do you feel ok?

Clwc · 14/07/2009 11:36

Hi all. Hope you're all OK.
I still have AF at CD 17

nunnie · 14/07/2009 09:27

It is sperm friendly lubricant

Joycey29 · 14/07/2009 09:06

HI Lissie - all well here - bumnp getting bigger by the day! Glad sis has found a new challenge but what a pain to be so far away!
Nunnie - what is zestica lube????
pme - how's Jack?
Lucygrif how did it go with consultant?

nunnie · 14/07/2009 08:20

Looks like I am out again light AF this morning which I am sure will become heavier as the day progresses Oh well more bonking madness to follow and I have had my new zestica lube delivered so roll on next week

OracleInaCoracle · 13/07/2009 20:20

thanks joycey, its still quite a lengthy process. we have to undergo counselling etc but im lucky to have this option! lilsis is ok, moving up to newcastle, which is pants but its for a new job which is great! how are you?

Joycey29 · 13/07/2009 19:41

HI Lissie, it's a fab idea! My friend has done it twice and now has two sons. She says it is the best way as you feel you are helping other people and it's so much cheaper. I think it's a great idea and you are given the opportunity to know if the other couple are successful in case you are interested.
Good luck with clomid but if not do give this a go.
PS Hows your sister??

OracleInaCoracle · 13/07/2009 17:44

yep, the clinic donates my eggs to a woman who has none of her own (that are usable)(early menopause/cancer/chromosone issues) a cycle will cost about £400 instead of £5000. the clinic absorbs most of the cost. as well as being cheaper i think it would be a good thing to do. a friend of dh's dp has gone through menopause at just 28 and needs egg donation to concieve. i hope i can help someone like them. after all, biology doesnt make you a parent!

lucygrif · 13/07/2009 17:29

what exactly is egg sharing? do you mean donor? is it much cheaper?
