Hi everyone,

The March bus is now departing, Everyone welcome....

Dlamis · 16/06/2009 09:47

Dh isn't feeling any pressure yet but he's not being going that long. Give him a couple of months and i'm sure he'll be asking for a night off.

I'm still resisting the temptation to test. Think i'm having a longer cycle this month, O'd late so i estimate i'm only about 9dpo.

Like your plan tostaky. I'd never be able to stick to it though.

BellasYummyMummy · 16/06/2009 08:51

good testing plan tostaky!! very organised (and restrained)

waiting to hear of those BFPs!!!

tostaky · 16/06/2009 07:27

Bellas - My DP much prefers me to say "it is today" rather than say "i have ovulated today"... he'd rather not know all the terms and details

so who is testing today? liaghen? Dlamis?

I have made myself a little planning for testing... So I am allowed to test next monday morning (AF-2), then next friday afternoon (AF +3) and then next sunday evening (AF+5)

BellasYummyMummy · 15/06/2009 21:51

well after 2 unsuccessful attempts ive told him to just do it in a cup and ill syringe it in! gross i know but i rarely ovulate and i refuse to miss this opportunity. livid. seriously, any other time theres no problem whatsoever. we've been at it loads while i was on low fertility so i guess there was no pressure then. argh!!

liahgen dont forget that sperm can live for 5 days so even if you didnt bd on the actual night of O, you're still in for a pretty good shot, and its better to have them there ready and waiting so that eggy doesnt get away!

anyway good luck to all those holding out to test, be strong and put those tests away!!!! (i of course expect you to tell me the same when im thinking of peeing on a stick 24/7 in a few weeks time).

TakeLovingChances · 15/06/2009 21:01

NancyPreg I'm studying Social Work.... very busy! But 'off' now for the summer, except for a few bits of research for starting backin August.

BellasYMummy My DH seems to like it when I tell him I'm at peak fertility, it's like he enjoys the challenge. However, I don't tell him too much as I don't want to freak him out!

liahgen · 15/06/2009 20:55

Thanks ladies, there is a careline and it says if it doesn't work you can email them, I'm assuming you'll get a free one. Am gonna wee in a pot in the morning so if this next one fails I can still use FMU. I am very sad

I don't tell DH either cos we're pretending there's no pressure either, He kind of knows cos asks if he can have a night off and I say no,

Having said that, I had my smiley face last Friday, they say ov takes place 24-36 hrs after this so ov could have taken place as late as Sunday for me which makes it still too early to know really However, Ifit was Sunday, I gave dh night off so didn't do it then. God now I'm convinced we've missed the window.

I really must geta life

Hope you're all well, Well done new for holding out, we'll all have our fingers crossed for you, and anyone else soon to test.

sweetkitty · 15/06/2009 20:33

BellasYM - I never mention things like EWCM or ovulation to DP, he has a fair idea what's going on but I think he likes to pretend there's no pressure IYSWIM, I also throw in a few just for fun in the month

BellasYummyMummy · 15/06/2009 20:28

does anyone else's DH have a problem when the pressure is on?? my dh is only 27, yet as soon as i mention ewcm or peak fertility, it seems things dont work so well in the bedroom and i try extremely hard not to get pissed off as that doesnt help things. arghh!!!!!

liahgen, you should take it back to the store where you got it, i would!! or there must be a helpline you can ring and complain, maybe theyll send you loads more. though hopefully you wont need loads more..

your symptoms sound promising NM, keeping fingers crossed.

ilove2shop · 15/06/2009 19:28

hello ladies, im back to the same time again...trying not to go and buy a test and test early!! liaghen - gutted, maybe its a sign that a BFP is just waiting round the corner - or over night as the case maybe!
xx

sweetkitty · 15/06/2009 19:01

liahgen - oh nightmare

dlamis - thank you sometimes I feel very to be saying this with an 11 month old baby on my lap, I think part of the reason is that if I think too long I talk myself out of no4 but if I were pregnant theres no going back. I know I am very lucky last 3 times I have been PG got PG first month of TTC, best of luck for tomorrow are you testing?

bellasyummymummy - welcome

will keep everything crossed that the bus is very lucky this month

NancyPreg · 15/06/2009 18:41

or even a BFP !

NancyPreg · 15/06/2009 18:40

oh liaghen, that's bad luck - I thought the digital ones were really the best? Do you think you could send it back the manufacturers? You never know, they might even send you some free ones as compensation!! I'd be tempted tbh cos they're not cheap.

At least you know that your morning wee will be strong so fingers very tightly crossed for a BPF!!!

NewMember · 15/06/2009 18:38

Sorry to hear that liahgen - hopefully you will get your BFP in the morning!

I am still feeling very tires, tender boobs and cramps in lower left hand side - although starting to think its the dreaded AF arriving!

I will test on Wed if its not arrived by then!

liahgen · 15/06/2009 18:32

Well now i'm really pissed off

Splashed out on a digital, bloody thing failed to work. Had saved wee for hours beforehand

aaaaagggggghhhhh

Have got one left. Is it bedtime yet? Does that make morning come quicker.?

Where's dlamis she's on her last day today? We need some luckyness(new word) to rub off on us

NancyPreg · 15/06/2009 18:26

TLC - if you fancy sharing, what is it that you are studying? It sounds as though it is keeping you very busy!

NancyPreg · 15/06/2009 18:24

Good luck to all you ladies who are planning to test in the next few days/coming week...we need our first BFP on this thread!

Welcome to new TTC ladies and good luck to you.

I'm only on CD12 so nothing exciting happening here atm and I'm not expecting to ovulate until at least CD16 (or even later that that following my mc earlier this month).

I saw lots of babies and toddlers today in the park enjoying the sunshine, they're all so cute with lots of wobbly legs, sunhats and pudgy limbs [ahhh emoticon]

NewMember · 15/06/2009 17:34

Oh I think you are right about not eating certain fish - whopps!

I am really praying this is my month, although I have little AF cramps (i think)

OH NO!!!!!

teenycalls · 15/06/2009 15:45

sweetkitty and tostaky can I add to your list of reasons for wanting a March baby? Not only would mat leave potentially start at Christmas but I could tell my mum on her birthday and baby would be due on my Dad's birthday

Have come to conclusion I am totally insane for even working this out but I don't care!

teenycalls · 15/06/2009 15:40

Lol re the Mussels NewMember, will keep my fingers crossed that you have a fish loving bean but aren't mussels on the list of things you're not meant to eat when pregnant? I may be very misinformed here - any more experienced MNers know the answer to this?

No EWCM for me yet but losing hope for this month anyway as am now on a cocktail of drugs trying to control hayfever induced athsma Any stories of people who conceived whilst taking steroids etc would be very welcome at this point... Doctor was vague as ever.

Dlamis · 15/06/2009 14:20

Newmember - i first read your post as having eating a full jar of marmite!

Sweetkitty - rant away, that's what we/mn's here for

I'm also resisting the temptation to test although i don't think af is due until the weekend anyway as O was late this month.

Welcome ocarsmumm and BellasYummyMummy. I have added you to the list.

I'm feeling very lucky this month, will have to wait until 1st July to see.... period is due around 28th June, but no tests for me until July 1st....

I am a full-time student in one of the busiest degrees I've ever heard of, but I want a baby, and that's the way DH and I are going to plan it. I can take a year out from my degree and pick up where I left off. Think it'd be easier to do that now, rather than wait until I start my career (in 2 or 3 years) and then go off on Mat leave.

In my view there is no right or wrong time for us, and we're ready now

tostaky · 15/06/2009 10:44

DP is certain i am PG... that's a symptom, right?

Welcome bellasym and oscarmum!

Sweetkitty, i also have my shallow reasons why a march baby would be best for me... i wouldnt have to work in 2010 and could start my mat leave at xmas.. that is 4 months after getting back to work

BellasYummyMummy · 15/06/2009 10:09

hello can i also join please? i have been posting on another thread but now it seems i am actually going to ovulate this cycle so am very excited!

TTC*2 cycle 2, CD23 with peak from CBFM

I have PCOS, took 2 years and 1 MMC before DD, been TTC number 2 since January, had MC April 09, now on second cycle and pleased that my cycles are trying to 'normal' themselves out!!!

from reading your posts, im glad to see i'm not the only one who goes a little bit bonkers over pregnancy tests!!! i am going to say for the record that i will not do a test until the 28th june at the earliest... please help me restrain myself!!!!!

sweetkitty · 15/06/2009 09:21

Oh I am getting so annoyed now, never before have I wanted CD1 so much I am a very impatient person can't you tell?

I wanted a March/April baby as I don't want to be crippled with SPD over the Summer next year, I want to be able to go out for walks with the DC etc actually March April or May would be fine, June is the Summer although fine also, July big no no as already have 3 birthdays in July in 6 days, August is when DD2 starts school so don't want to be hugely pregnant then, September means a summer of agony, I know that sounds awful and I know more than most you don't get to plan when you have a baby but I don't think I can cope with a Summer of not being able to walk.

anyway planning to night weaning DD3 next month when DH off work for a fortnight so hopefully should kick start ovulation, sorry for the venting sorry for myself post I feel very as I know theres a few on MN that would love a summer or any baby really but sometimes you just got to get it out

oscarsmumm · 15/06/2009 08:57
