Yes I do tlc! I never used to before being on the pill, but since coming off it they are agony around when I ovulate.

sweetkitty · 17/06/2009 11:01

Morning everyone, anyone testing today?

I am feeling dog rough today, migraine and feeling sick, have had a good sign though think my sex drive may be coming back, it is usually zero when I am BFing, maybe it's a sign (clutching at straws emoticon?)

I don't have any signs that I am pregnant at first, don't feel any different but in some ways I just "know" I am. At OV I get ov pain and loads of EWCM and the raging horn

TakeLovingChances · 17/06/2009 09:21

Does anyone else get really sore nipples mid cycle, or is it just me I am wondering if it's linked to ov?

tostaky · 17/06/2009 09:17

Good morning everybody!
I am constantly cramping so let's hope it is a good sign (it was for DS) and i have mild heartburn (which might be from my poor eating though).... But boobs are normal (they werent for DS)

Lots of baby dust for everybody!!!

teenycalls · 16/06/2009 21:49

NewMember I totally feel for you as am in a similar boat, I too am TTC#1 and cycle 3, although annoyingly I am CD14 and don't think i've ovulated yet (just going on EWCM at tho mo).

I am 30 and DP is 41, we've been together 10 years and have been using withdrawal for 7 years. We both thought we'd have had an 'accident' by now but realised we'd better stop pretending we weren't bothered and start trying!

I hope AF doesn't get you, maybe you can give me some CBFM tips in a few months if I have no joy. I think we are just going to have to stay positive and try to be patient.[moral support emoticon]

sweetkitty · 16/06/2009 21:15

newmember - it took me 9 months to get pregnant the first time around I had been on the pill for 12 years, next 3 times I have been pregnant it was at first month of ttc, lucky I know but I think it takes your body a while to wake up and start things up again IYSWIM.

nancypreg - sorry to hear about your mcs, even when you have DC it's still hard, I couldn't believe how hard it was and how much it affected me, will keep everything crossed this is your month, I know what you mean I too have leart BFP does not always = baby

NewMember · 16/06/2009 21:01

We will all get there I am sure!

Positive thinking = Success !!!

NancyPreg · 16/06/2009 20:58

oh what about me , I've had three mc in quick succession (Oct, Feb and earlier this month) but I won't bore you with the gory details! However, we do have two dcs for which we are eternally grateful. I have just been referred to a gynaecologist (appt is in 5wk's time) so it'll be interesting to see what tests she will do/what she will discover, etc. Because we have two kids, I am fairly relaxed about ttc#3 though this could also be due to the fact that I now longer see a bfp as equating to a baby, as I did in my innocent pre-mc days.

But no more doom and gloom on this bus! This bus is bursting with fertility and we will have some graduates soon!

NewMember · 16/06/2009 20:45

Yea I bought the Clear Blue Fertility Monitor 3 months ago now - so thats been great getting to know my cycle etc! I was on the pill for 9 years, I am thinking that is playing a part in it taking a while. I stopped the pill last October tho, so wwould imagine its out my system now! Although the past few weeks I have had spots on my face - which I never get! Could be stress tho! lol

Ouch - who said TTC was fun

What about you?

NancyPreg · 16/06/2009 20:42

New - you are still very young in ttc terms so your age is very much in your favour. I'm not sure if GPs still prefer a couple to ttc for 2yrs before agreeing to refer them for tests but you could always set yourselves a deadline by which you're either pg or you see your GP? You could then relax a little bit knowing that you've got a plan and in the meantime, you could gather together some data: cycle length, ovulation day, luteal phase length and so on.

NewMember · 16/06/2009 20:31

I really hope AF does not arrive Nancy. I am 27 and DP is 33

NancyPreg · 16/06/2009 20:28

I'm on CD13 today, rather than CD14!

liaghen, I would say that 9dpo is a little bit early to be testing...so I don't think you should think it's all over just yet. No more testing until 14dpo! Ditto Dlamis! BYM: my dh doesn't seem at all concerned that we bd mainly when I'm ovulating, apart from the odd joke about being a sperm donor

hobnob: so will you follow your consultant's advice and throw away the ovulation paraphernalia? I like my OPKs too much to discard them . Good luck with your tests/results.

new: fingers crossed it's not af. Depending on your age, you could either wait a few more months before seeing your GP or you could make an appt and say that you've been ttc for [insert lengthy number of months here]. I had a friend who did that; she had been ttc for 9mths and knowing that her GP would not refer her for tests until they'd been ttc for 2yrs, she told him that she had been ttc for that length of time and duly got a referral. In her case, she hedged her bets because she did get pg shortly afterward seeing her GP.

sweetkitty: in your case, I hope af comes knocking really soon!

Things are juicing up here atm [TMI!] so I've got my dh on standby

NewMember · 16/06/2009 19:50

Yea I really hope so - I just pray it happens sooner rather than later!

BellasYummyMummy · 16/06/2009 19:48

hey nm, they say most couples will fall pregnant within a year, though if it were me i'd pop along to the doc to see what they say. It took us nearly 2 years to conceive our DD, its not easy for some of us. we've been ttc for number 2 for 6 months now (well, we havent used protection since she was about 3 months old which would mean 9 months, but i guess properly for 6).

youll get there, just try and be patient

NewMember · 16/06/2009 19:15

Oh its just SO frustrating! So in total this is our 7 month of trying (going into my 4th month of using the CBFM)

The question I have is :

When should I go to the Doctor?

sweetkitty · 16/06/2009 18:32

newmember - oh no

I think the earliest I have tested and got a very faint postive is 9dpo

I am so bored of waiting in this limbo land of no periods, well last one was 8th May.

BellasYummyMummy · 16/06/2009 17:50

oh no NM, could be implantation bleeding??? trying to be positive!!! hope its not the witch

liahgen · 16/06/2009 17:46

oh new hugs for you ((((())))) not very mnty but hey ho. Will keep fingers cross3ed for you

NewMember · 16/06/2009 17:17

Hi Ladies ...

Having AF feelings - also tiny browish discharge when i wipe (TMI - sorry)!

Dont think its my month after all

Gutted!

Dlamis · 16/06/2009 16:21

Fingers crossed for you liahgen. I don't have much hope for this month either, i've just started with raging PMT and one of the first symptoms with ds1 and ds2 was not turning into an imcompetant bumbling psycho just before af. Ho hum.

Welcomen Nanoo, have added you to the list

i think 9dpo is a bit too early if i'm honest. i tested at 9dpo and got a bfn, then had a very slight positive on 10 dpo, i wouldnt test earlier than 10dpo really.
liahgen i really wouldnt get disheartened just yet, just wait a couple of days x
welcome nanoo!!

tostaky · 16/06/2009 15:41

Do you think DPO 9 is enough to give a positive? Im DPO 7

liahgen · 16/06/2009 14:34

ok, BFN from me today, sorry ladies

Am just hoping I am like you dlamis only on DPO 9 today so still chance I guess but have lost my postitive feeling from earlier in the month.

Oh well, there's always next month, maybe it'll be a holiday baby, (we go away 28th JunE)

nanoo · 16/06/2009 11:54

Hi Girls - just wondering if I'm too late to catch this bus...? It's CD6, so would that push me into April 2010?? I'm taking puregon, so am all drugged up, so SHOULD do a text book ovulation on day 14 (thus says the doc - has never happened yet though!). Would love to join in if there's room on the bus :-)

Nanoo TTC 2, Cycle 12, UCL random, CD 6

Hobnobfanatic · 16/06/2009 11:41

Back from the consultant... Next stop: having my tubes checked to see if they are blocked... After that, and DP's sperm analysis, we should have an idea of what's going on, if anything.

Consultant said to BD twice a week - three max - otherwise it compromises sperm quality. A friend's consultant, though, said to BD three times a day when she's ovulating. Who knows what's for the best! My consultant also said to throw the charts and OPKs away, as the stress can affect hormone balances.

Good luck with those test results, everyone!
