Hello skibi! You've joined us at an exciting time - beanie has just had a BFP (big fat positive) on a HPT (home pregnancy test) after a long old haul TTC (trying to conceive) and her 1st go of IVF. Yipee!

Add your name to the list (just copy and paste in to a new message but don't forget to update everyone's CDs (cycle days) if you don't do it today. If you do this on tomorrow (thurs) add 1, on Friday add 2, etc... cycle number is the number of menstual cycles you have been TTC, TTC# is the DC you are TTC, and mc is miscarriage, mmc is missed miscarriage. I, for example am on day 8 of my current cycle after trying for 34 cycles to conceive our 3rd child and had miscarriages in March and Sept 08. Hope that makes sense.

Think that's it, shout if you need any more help. I am very interested in whether ASDA does clomid. I am currently having fertility tests and since will be DC3 for me I will have to self fund. Could be straight down to ASDA for me!! Shame it isn't Tesco...I have a loyalty card!

Beanie - Such good news. I'll be touching wood for you - the very best of luck. It's about time things went your way xx

skibi · 13/04/2010 15:36

was told by HFEA that at present Asda Pharmacy (yes Asda) are selling fertility drugs at cost. i am not sure if this covers Clomid. i assume so?

skibi · 13/04/2010 15:33

all new to this - what is the list - the abbrevations etc?

beanieb · 13/04/2010 15:17

Sparkly how lovely to hear from you and glad all is well.

lou waves to you too. Hope the birth goes well.

Claire, hope you are ok. I know it sucks big time.

I have news... good news. My IVF worked . I had no clue and I was convinced it hadn't. I was told not to test for 16 days and somehow I managed to resist until the official day. I got my BFP on Saturday morning. I have a scan booked on 29th April and I should be 7 +5 by then. With a bit of luck it will be a sticky one. I am really happy and surprisingly chilled about it, so grateful that it worked first time and that the whole process was fairly easy.

Obviously because of what happened last time I am still touching wood and won't believe it's true until I see a heartbeat at the scan. I am also desparate for some symptoms to start as I can't help worrying about last time when I had none at all. I have sore boobs but that's possibly the progesterone pessaries I am using twice a day. I am waiting for extreme tiredness or nausea to hit which will make me feel better.

I hope everyone is ok and you don't mind such a lengthy post from me all about being pregnant. I am determined that once I get the all clear I am going to be open to everyone about how this baby was conceived because I strongly believe people should be aware of what some couples go through.

Wishing all the best for everyone here and I will hopefully pop back with good news at the end of April.

xx

ClaireDeLoon · 13/04/2010 10:52

Thanks Lou and of course I don't mind you posting at all, we are all going through the same thing and we're all pleased for each other for any bfp and bump after all.

louisnearlythere · 12/04/2010 15:14

Claire - I'm so sorry, I remember so well how that feels.
I know my situation has changed now, but I will never forget how horrible the 'bump and buggy parade' is.
Hope you don't mind me posting, just wanted you to have a reply to come back to.

Just a quick post to send heaps of luck and love to Beanie...I so hope you get the news you deserve. How exciting but nerve racking too. x

And a huge HELLO to Sparkly and Lou...gosh how time flies.

5 months, sparkly?! I bet you're enjoying every minute and secretly loving the lack of sleep. I bet DS is spoiled rotten. x

lou - hope all goes straight forward and you will be getting your very own sleepless nights in a couple of weeks! Looking forward to hear the news of safe arrival. x

Nothing happening here yet. Was away last week so couldn't get CD 21 bloods done. CD2 today so will have to go get some blood taken today or tomorrow and book in for HSG. DH STILL not booked in for his little job! All of a sudden hte garden seems to have become very interesting to him. Grrrr!

SparklyPseudonym · 07/04/2010 21:52

Jaamy Hello my dear. Have you had any further tests yet? How are the DDs? No idea in the costs of Clomid - Ei might have an idea as I know this has been a poss for her.
Beanie I know this week is a big one for you.I wish you all the luck in the world.

Hello to everyone else. Hope you're all well ladies.

louisnearlythere · 07/04/2010 17:05

Good Luck with the weight loss Pistacio. Try the Times online health club. I lost 2 stone in about 4 months by keeping a food and exercise diary. The exercise was just lots of walking and some cycling. The online diary made me stick to it once i got going.

Clomid not working as yet. I have prescription at the moment and get six chances. I don't know the real cost though. Sorry Jaamy, but sounds very hopeful if it has worked before.

Clomid not worked yet for us, but was ill around days 10 to 15 so only tried once

Take care all.
