Hi All,

Hope you like our new home!

Jools I hope you are feeling ok today. I do understand what you mean about the hgormones and sense of smell. My sense of smell took ages to calm down after the mc. Its so cruel - all the symptoms of pregnancy and no pregnancy. I hope you have a lovely holiday and manage to put this behind you, as much as one ever can.

Queenie how did the scan go? Am sure all was well given previous good scans - you'll have to post a pic! As you say, its been a long journey for you and I'm so happy for you thats its finally come good.

Funtime how have you been? I am missing you here even though you pop in from time to time. I hope I get pg again soon so I can join you on an antenatal thread somewhere. I hope you sickness is starting to subside slightly - it sounds like you've had a quite a rough time of it.

Yellow not sure on the sore boobs. I get random pain there from time to time - I assume its all random hormonal niggliness. If there is anything more to it I'd be intrigued to know!

Happy Saturday everyone - enjoy the rest of the weekend.

funtimewincies · 24/04/2009 19:07

Jools - sorry to hear that it's not to be. We weren't warned not to try while the mcs were being investigated. Just as well as it took 4 months to get an appointment and another month to get the first results back. If you feel up for it, keep trying. Lots of wine is a good idea and enjoy your holiday.

All the best for the scan Queenie.

kittycatcat · 24/04/2009 16:52

Good luck queenie

Have a good hol Jules

yellowflowers · 24/04/2009 16:25

so sorry jools.
Hope you enjoy your holiday.

good luck queenie

I have very sore boobs. Am not even convinced I have ovulated yet this month. What other reasons could there be for sore boobs pre ovulation. Am going to start thread about this too in case others can answer question. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.
xx

queenie1 · 24/04/2009 15:40

i've been away but came back yesterday, logged back on this afternoon and saw your news jools

i'm so sorry to hear this. you sound like you're dealing really well with it though. i was referred to a recurrent miscarriage clinic and found it so reassuring and glad to hear your gp is going to do the same for you. i didn't stop trying whilst waiting for appointment or in the midst of all the tests and wasn't told to - in fact they said keep going. it will probably be a few months until you see someone and it then takes about 6 weeks to hear back if there is anything up or not. so i agree you shouldn't waste the next few months not trying.

hi to everyone else. iggy - good to see you are back ttc. I hope for you, and everyone else, these sunny spring days are v lucky for you. i'll continue to pop in to keep a close eye and to watch the BFP's stack up!!

I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow (though will be 11 weeks 2 days). I'm feeling quite confident as I've now had three good scans with good baby growth and a strong heartbeat. It's been a long, long journey to get to this point and I'm really starting to believe this one will happen for me. at least I'm hoping anyway, with all my heart!

love to all
xxx

Joolsiam · 24/04/2009 13:34

Thanks everyone This feels so different to last time - I hadn't made plans, told many people in RL at all, or really accepted the pregnancy and I think it helped. I don't even see this one as a baby because it has happened so early on - with hindsight, I suspect it didn't even implant properly. Implantation involved 2 days of lower back pain (as has the MC) - doesn't sound normal.

I think that Clearblue conception indicator thingie was right and my hormone levels just never rose properly Ironically, my sense of smell had reached bloodhound levels this morning and I could smell the cat food being served in the kitchen whilst lying in bed upstairs !!

We are actually off to the Isle of Man on Monday for 5 nights - walking, seafood, scenery etc. I had booked it to take my mind off the wait for an 8wk scan With any luck though, a bit of relaxation and post MC fertility and ....

I'm not going to wait - am assuming that yesterday was CD1 and also assuming that my cycle will pop back into place fairly rapidly.

Am booking a GP appt today for when I get back - to get referred to the recurrent mc clinic. She did say that you are normally asked not to TTC until they've done their investigations, but I don't feel like I want to wait, only to find the waiting list is a mile long.

Popping out later to get some PG tests and see when I get back to BFN ....

Jools goush, so sorry to hear. Are you sure you are okay? you don't need to sound composed to us. Its hard I know. Tits ... Tits .. Tits!!! that is what I say. Can you start straightaway or are you going to wait for one cycle?

OP posts:
wasabipeanut · 24/04/2009 13:01

Oh Jools I am sorry. It's just so shit. I'm sorry I didn't express that in a slightly more eloquent maner but I think that says it all really.

Fair do's on the desire to get drunk. It was sure as hell what I wanted to do when I had my mc.

Where are you going on holiday?

Jool am so sorry to read this - would support the getting v. drunk idea - was what I did

Is good you looking at it in a positive way - but I also know how horrible it is - so look after yourself. (large glass of Oyster bay?) xx

kittycatcat · 24/04/2009 11:51

Oh Jules i am so sorry [BIG HUGS] you sound very positive....
Where are you going on holiday? Sorry if you mentioned already.

Joolsiam · 24/04/2009 11:47

Ok, so now I am the first person to graduate from a GFJ thread twice AND return to (hopefully) graduate a 3rd time

Complete MC, so I'm guessing CD2 for me now. Hopefully such an early one won't screw up my cycle - will be "trying" on hols next week.

Don't feel too bad considering - relieved it was an early MC, glad the pain has stopped and feel ready to try again asap.

you get your lunch paid for kitty? Wow - good job!

Sorry AF here pinky

iggypiggy · 24/04/2009 11:38

Hello all!

pinky arse that AF got you

wasabi Tits is good word... I plan to use that for the rest of the day - but also arse re: AF on way - but fingers crossed she doesn't come!

Kitty & wasabi - please stop with your talk of nice places for lunch we have a choice of sainburys, iceland or local cafe... My favourite place for lunch used to be on lambs conduit street (when I worked near there..) can't remember where I went in Cov garden - I left my job there in 2003....

Jools hope you are ok & scan is ok. xx

I have no news... boringly!

kittycatcat · 24/04/2009 10:31

Bum re AF Wasabi....grrr. You wont believe this, i am right next door to Kaster and Ovens! hehe. We get our lunch paid for in there and with Wings! Small world eh.... i had a piece of bakewell tart in there yest to treat myself. lol.

Pinkyblue123 · 24/04/2009 10:30

Sorry to hear that Wasabi It is so funny that we are near in real life (I am just down the road from you it seems), but best to stay virtual...bearing in mind the info we share. lol

wasabipeanut · 24/04/2009 10:15

BTW Kitty if you are in Floral St and you fancy a change from Wings try Kastner & Ovens for lunch just down the road from you. You should be able to identify it from the queue out the door.

Too expensive for regular use in my opinion but my god its good. I used to get the Thai Green curry and a slice of one of their sumptuous cakes or tray bakes for dessert.

wasabipeanut · 24/04/2009 10:13

Jools thinking of you lovely.

P1nky sorry to read that. At least the sun is shining!

I know what you guys mean about wanting to remain virtual rather than real! We have shared a LOT of information. I just find it amusing to think that we were all tapping away and chatting within half a mile of eachother

Now I am in self imposed freelance exile in Reading!

Well it appears that my hopes were a false alarm. Last night I felt hideously bloated and "draggy" down there and this morning my temp has dropped again. It seems AF is on her evil way.

Tits is all I can say to that quite frankly.

kittycatcat · 24/04/2009 10:07

Sorry Pinky

Yes i hope she is ok.

Pinkyblue123 · 24/04/2009 10:04

Hi ladies, yes it is another lovely day.

AF arrived as expected today

Oh well just need to get back on with it.

Fingers crossed for Jools I guess she will be having her scan about now.

C1NDY · 24/04/2009 08:57

Hi Kittycat Its a lovely day be-coz its Friday!! yippppppppppeeeee! can't wait for the weekend to roll on by. Have a meeting at 10 then I can enjoy the day

I guess, the reason we are all here is to get advice and talk about our most inner thoughts... so I guess we will stay only on the computer. But it is intriging to know that most of you are close .

kittycatcat · 24/04/2009 08:45

thinking of you today Jools!

I know what you mean yellow i find it difficult in real life. One of my real life friends is trying and we use MN speak! hehe.
Boss wants me to speed up, i am progressing, but not as fast as they would like. And i listen, note but dont always action, she says i am over complicating things which is probably true tbh. The course in May will help me become organised and learn systems and processes. It's frustrating becasue ordinarily i am one of the most organised people i know. But i know do 2 and a half jobs and i cant find a balance. I am on reception in the morning, and i go to another desk in the afternoons where i put my Office manager hat on, with a bit of admin thrown in!

How is everyone today. Nice to see the sun still shining.

jardins · 23/04/2009 20:10

Night, night Jools. I'm sending you loads of positive vibes from across the Channel. Keep us posted tomorrow.
