Hi funtime and broodzilla, glad to hear things are progressing okay for you both.

Hope everyone has a nice, long, bank hol weekend

kittycatcat · 01/05/2009 12:43

Hi all

Broodzilla hope the sickness passes soon, nice to hear from you.

whatsfortea great to hear from you too, grrr re AF!

I went to the docs this morning. think it was wasabi that said sickness pre AF can be thyroid related? Also spotted for two days after AF with old blood, then fressh blood, like i had been cut for two days. So doc is sending me for blood tests to check anemia (am always tired) and thyroid. And a pelvic scan. Sure all is ok, but best to be checked eh...

Have lovely bank holiday weekends all, it's gonna be a hot one!

Broodzilla · 01/05/2009 12:08

erm, yes, and this is why I keep lagging behind on work. I can't put a simple sentence together!

Meant to say: I hope I'll be better at mothering than I am at incubating the bean.

I'll just go over and hide in the corner quietly.

Broodzilla · 01/05/2009 12:05

Hi Ladies,

Thought I'd check in with you all. I'm not on MN much these days (partly because I've got tons of work to catch up with, but also because I haven't found another "home").

Jools I'm really sorry to hear your news. You seem to be coping really well though, hopefully the holiday will take your mind off things a bit.

Yellow re CM I'd say more like lotiony than creamy if that makes sense.

Nothing much to report in Broodzilla land, I'm still suffering from all day sickness, am starting to worry that I'll be one of the unlucky few that just have it throughout.
I guess it's all for a good cause though, so I know I shouldn't complain really. I guess I just feel a bit guilty because I'm feeling so shite that I have to remind myself to be grateful and happy. I passed out on Sunday, so am really not good at being pregnant. I hope I'll be at mothering that I am at incubating the bean!

Had a scan last week, all still ok and they think they might have found where I'm bleeding from, as they could see some bruising on the uterus.

Anyway, I hope you all have a lovely sunny long weekend!

Take care.

yellowflowers · 01/05/2009 09:17

hi,

when people have said creamy cm how creamy do you mean. Mine isn't that creamy but is nearer white than clear at the moment. Does that count? I am not symptom spotting, honest!

Have a lovely weekend - we're off up north (from down south) for a wedding.

xx

funtimewincies · 30/04/2009 20:22

Using OPKs as pg tests here

funtimewincies · 30/04/2009 20:19

Sorry to hear about AF whatsfortea and anyone else I've missed.

Whoever was asking about using OPKs as pregnancy tests, yes you can, I tried it as an experiment when I got up the duff this time. It's something to do with the hormones being very similar and I got a very dark line on an OPK just after I did a pg test. I'll find a link.

Annovulatory cycles yellow - what are you after (I'm losing track). You'll still have a bleed even if you've not ov'd but it might be a longer cycle than normal and of a different consistency (mine were more watery).

I need to keep up with the news . MW came today to do paperwork and I've got a dating scan next week. Trying not to panic.

whatsfortea · 30/04/2009 18:25

Hi everyone, sorry I havent been very active on here. A lot seems to have happened since I last posted, which wasnt even on this shiny new thread (thank you C1ndy!). Am rubbish.

Am really sorry to hear about your mc jools .

iggy, C1ndy, hope AF turns up for you soon (not something that I would usually say!). I think mine took about 5 weeks when I had mc last year which is a normal ish cycle length for me.

yellow, hope your temp goes up soon.

Hi wasabi, kitty and anyone I've missed who is still lurking here

No BFP for me this month, AF arrived yesterday, as expected after the usual BFNs and then temp drop. Arses. Anyway, having initial tests done this month, so first blood tests for me tomorrow, we shall see what results they bring.

I'm here.

Yellow I think you can still get a period if you don't ovulate. Apparently the odd anovulatory cycle isn't that unusual. Having said that I think its possible for your body to just randomly change the rules on you. Prior to my mc I would always get cramps and feel really rough on the day of ovulation. Now, unless I was doing OPKs and tempting I'd be hard pushed to spot it at all.

I've updated the list. Has anyone seen whatsfortea anywhere?

Hi Yellowflowers I am not sure regarding anovulatory cycle... but your right where is everyone. It must be the glorious weather.

NOthing to report from my end AF still has not arrived sigh

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 30/04/2009 08:56

Where is everyone?

Cd 25 today. Still no def sign if ovulation. Hmmmmm. Maybe I am having an anovulatory cycle. If this is the case would I still get a period and when?

yellowflowers · 29/04/2009 12:51

hi all,

am till pretty sure not ovulated as did take temp this morning and it was pretty low. Boobs have stopped hurting as well. cm is quite watery. Maybe ovulation on its way. DH was pissed last night so no bd but hopefully tonight. Then having weekend away this weekend so scope for much bd action hopefully.

how you doing jools?

iggypiggy · 29/04/2009 10:42

morning everyone!

is anyone close to testing? Am wanting some BFPs to cheer me up xx

C1NDY · 29/04/2009 08:34

Pinky Where is Jools when I need her. I think Jools or Wasabi... gave me a link, when I first reported that my OPK sticks where still positive for a couple of days and sure enough there was a site on the world wide web detailing that it is possible. But I can't remember what it was... ...

Wasabi You are such a brave trooper, after your MC... I remember it well. It seems such a while ago now. MC is so hard to forget, I still remember my first one.. .life sure is a bummer but all is going to go well, as this thread is lucky and we will be back to where we were.

Well AF still has not shown up but I have been getting some cramping so may be my system is reving up to go... (sorry for the spelling but its early in the morning and I have gone past the stage of caring... hehehe)

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 28/04/2009 20:26

Hi wasabi - not IT, law.

Yes, would befunny (not) if the month we 'relaxed' was the month we conceived except I promise you I am not really relaxed and also I don't even think I have ovulated yet let alone conceived!

x

iggypiggy · 28/04/2009 16:39

wasabi thanks - hugs much appreciated It is shite timing - and she's one of those people I could never tell because a) she does not do secrets - she is office gossip person and b) She would say the wrong thing (not deliberately). Plus I don't want to spoil her good news - but it is spookily close timing. There are only 6 women in my close team (of which she is one) so is v. v. unlucky!

Am ok about it now - was just worse this morning. Am finding it easier all the time. xx

wasabipeanut · 28/04/2009 15:23

Right I have reset ds and his room (removed toys lobbed out of cot and changed stinky rear end) and should now be able to continue posting.

C1ndy well done on your CD weight loss. Sounds great. My friend has just started the other one - Lighter Life and has already lost about 5lbs she reckons. These diets undoubtedly work if you really are committed.

Yellow am keeping everything crossed for you. Your dh isn't in IT is he? I have lost my dh to a trade event 2 nights this week. Wonder if its the same? You do realise don't you that if you get your bfp this month you will be adding to the tales of "well we just stopped trying and relaxed and what do you know?" I think we could all forgive you for that though.

Well, I am feeling better today. Both sickness and eye watering cramps seem to have subsided thank god. I think this is the first month since the mc that I have managed not to cry when getting my AF so thats a step in the right direction.

wasabipeanut · 28/04/2009 15:09

Commiserations Pinky There are indeed some upsides to AF arriving. I have just had pate on toast for lunch. Yum!

Iggy jesus that has to be the most shite timing ever. It so difficult to deal with the pregnancies of people around you who you don't care for particularly but have been thrown together for reasons of work. I know you would never wish anyone ill but I also understand it must be very difficult for you to deal with gracefully. I don't have a magic answer sadly but it does get easier with time I promise.

Oh hell gotta go, ds is trashing his room by the sound sound of it rather than sleeping.

yellowflowers · 28/04/2009 13:37

that's interesting cindy - def going to wait though. and hospital appt is may 5th

Pinkyblue123 · 28/04/2009 13:26

Can you use OPK sticks as pg tests?? This is new to me!

C1NDY · 28/04/2009 13:07

Yellowflowers When I tested it was on the OPK sticks, it was saying that I was ovulating for about 4 days, then I knew but on a pg test it was showing as a BFN. Just wait... easier said then done... I know.. I know..

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 28/04/2009 12:18

yellow I got a BFN before my BFP

yellowflowers · 28/04/2009 12:14

(Have just done fist response I had lying around and it's bfn - silly me, knew it was too early anyhow. Now as I said, am not thinking too much about it this month!!)
