Hope you like our new home!

Dalrymps I found out I was pg by OPK sticks.. if you still get a positive sign then that can mean you are pg... but remember it depends on the level of your HCG, so it cannot be reliable if you get a negative. So you could try this....

Pinky Please do stick around as long as you want to ... the GFJ thread is located at:- www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/633845-GFJ-drinkers-anonymous?pg=30

If you want to join them.

Try to relax...its easier said than done... I know.. but you will be fine.. think positive.. take one day as it comes and don't think too far along... your bean is growing so relax.

Hi Ladies, good luck with all the BDing sounds like you are all going to be busy.

Sorry AF arrived Jools i hope you are feeling a bit better now. Good luck for this month.

Good luck with the final part of the tww Dalrymps it is a nail biting time isn't it!

Great news funtime how funny you should crave GF juice!!

All OK my end no major symptoms just feel really tired at certain points in the day. In my previous pregnancies the MS did not kick in until around week six (then it went on until week 20 ugg!) so I am making the most of the time before I start to feel really rotton!

I am feeling really nervous though and am really scared that something will go wrong. Hope you don't mind if i still hang around here.

Dalrymps · 22/06/2009 13:53

Lol C1ndy, you are naughty but i'm sooooo tempted!

I once heard you can use opk's as pregnancy tests, anyone heard this? How do you think that works?

C1NDY · 22/06/2009 13:48

Yellow Oh my god! all that bding, it must be exhausting. My cycle has moved from 28 to 33 days... but I am using the OPK sticks, temp and checking for EWCM. I am not following the DP this month but have decided to follow FF when it hits the 'green' phase i.e. fertile phase, we are bd every other day. It is a difficult one when you have a long cycle, is there a reason why this happens? But at least you are keeping all your bases covered eh? How long have you been trying now? ... what is wrong with me, I am asking so many questions eh?

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 22/06/2009 13:01

Hi Cindy - trouble is some months it is 30 days and some months it is 38 days.

So on 30 day months I ideally start BDing around day 8 every other day or so until day 18 and am pretty sure due to temp etc that I ovulate on day 16.

But on the longer cycles I have to keep going until day 24 if possible. But because I don't know it's a longer cycle until after day 16 when there has been no temp rise or other signs, we have an awful long bd cycle those months every other day from day 8 until day 24. It's exhausting!

For me yesterday was day 16 but no ewcm and no temp rise so think that this is going to be one of the longer ones, which bizarrely tend to be every third month.

C1NDY · 22/06/2009 12:26

Has anyone heard from Whatsfortea as her AF was due on 1st June??

OP posts:
C1NDY · 22/06/2009 12:25

Yellow how long is your cycle... I am only going to bd on CD13(sun - last night), CD14 (today) and then CD16(Wednesday)... then its a wrap and I am going to sit it out and wait. DH has warned me not to go into mission mode... but hey, I love having a plan, next month he won't know what's hit him, so we better get that bfp

Dalrymps don't listen to me - I am very naughty (Cindy taps her fingers on her desk) but I would test ... go on... go on

OP posts:
C1NDY · 22/06/2009 12:21

Dalrymps Its a good sign... 26th June is on Friday. You can do a first response test tomorrow which tests 5 days in advance... I would do a test, but that's me...no patience!!! I would test, but I know a load of ladies on here will not until AF day has passed. But it you hate waiting then go for it... I am so excited!!! do it ... do it... but only if you want to...

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 22/06/2009 12:19

Hi Funtime - that is so great.

Good luck dalrymps.

Well done cindy.

Still Bding here for next week or so...

Dalrymps · 22/06/2009 11:05

Hey ladies,

C1ndy, well done for getting back in the saddle so to speak! Hope you get that bfp soon...

How is everyone?

Jools - Feeling any better with the emotions?

CD 25 here, only symptom I seems to have is enlarged boobs (according to dh). They feel a bit bigger and slightly tender but i'm not trying not to get my hopes up, it's no dissapointing when AF gets me...

Am feeling the urge to test even though it's too early cause I just want to know! I hate waiting!

Funtimewincies Cindy gives her a wave... HOwdy... my goush, nearly 17 weeks. How wonderful your nearly half way there. Keep us posted on how you are getting along. We will all be joining you soon.

Okay, ladies I have started the bding... DH and I started again yesterday... tell you the truth I was very nervous as it would be our first time after the awful MC. I was worried that I would not enjoy it so much because my body went through a lot. But surprising it was great and we are now back in to mission mode!! We are taking it easier this time around, no more me demanding that we needed to bd now! (well next month will be different, this month was to ease us back into trying again!). If I am ramberling its because I want to get all my thoughts out so that I can begin this new chapter of my life. I have not ovulated yet, but am nipping out to get some Boots ovulation sticks as the Clearblue one's are driving me made. I lost two sticks trying to figure out how to use it!! Will buy some internet cheapies next month.

Okay, have to do a bit.

Speak to you all soon
Cindy

Just checking on the news...

Congratulations Pinky and great news on the scan wasabi, another step closer . I'm 16+6 today and have got a mw appointment on Tuesday, so hoping to hear the heartbeat again.

Guess what I've had a craving for? Grapefruit juice ! I've started getting heartburn now so had to stop guzzling it, but it was very weird as I'd not really had any since ttc.

Keep going girls.

C1NDY · 19/06/2009 13:53

Pinky Just ensure you are hydrated. Plane flying really hydrates the body... its a long journey so sip water/non-alcholic cocktails frequently. Have fun!!

OP posts:
C1NDY · 19/06/2009 13:51

Yellow I am with you on that, I only use a tiny bit... but I know that sperm live longer with good quality of EWCM so with preseed being the same consistency its a very good product. Otherwise you could try egg whites apparently they do the same thing!!

OP posts:
yellowflowers · 19/06/2009 12:21

Thanks cindy - it was me who asked about pre seed. I have stopped the grapefruit juice the past few months. I drink lots of water though. Am no longer using pre seed in the pessary - just a little bit when needed to smooth entry so to speak so hoping I do notice the ewcm this time. Have a feeling this may be a 35-38 day cycle not a 30 day one.

Pinkyblue123 · 19/06/2009 10:53

Thanks Cindy you are right I am definately not going to do too much surfing. I have however checked with NHS direct and they say there is no evidence to suggest that flying can cause a MC. So US here I come, but i will have to make sure my cocktails are strictly non alcoholic...listen to me anyone would think that I was an alcoholic!

C1NDY · 19/06/2009 10:24

Pinky think positive, stay away from the web surfing i.e. to read about what stage you are at etc... enjoy your holiday and then when you get back have an early scan. There is nothing more that you can do, its out of your hands. Relax and think positive. Stay well hydrated.

OP posts:
C1NDY · 19/06/2009 10:22

Not sure who asked the question about Preseed, I was going to respond yesterday but Man Boss interupted me - does he not know that I am on MN and should not be disturbed???

Well, I have used preseed and do not find that it makes you dry. Normally sometimes the EWCM is higher up as the cervix is raised when we are ovulating, so it could be you don't get as much EWCM as you would expect... may be. I have used preseed and the next day will still be able to observe EWCM.. does that make sense? Are you drinking enough water, or grapefruit juice? Preseed is wonderful stuff and I only use a tiny amount to help with the bding process.

Jools (big hugs to you) It is hard with the emotions, as I said I had a very tearful last week. All you can do is cry and cry, as its better out then in... so go off and cry and yell and shout, it helped me a lot. Not sure if that my words provide any comfort to you. I am thinking of you and we are all here to listen.

Love
Cindy

I'm sure everything will be fine pinky. Try to ignore the 1 in 4 statistic, thats all it is, a statisitc. So happy for you!

Pinkyblue123 · 19/06/2009 10:12

Thank you all for your kind words ladies. DH is over the moon, he like me could not believe it as I think we had reached a point where it was all getting too much.

So there you go it can happen!!

Now I need to find out if I can still go to the US next weekend - I guess it will be a rather sober affair -not quite what we had planned but I don't care.

I am of course worried that everything will be ok this time I keep telling myself it is one in 4 chance of going wrong and this is my 4th pregnancy so hopefully this will be a successful one.

Sorry to hear about PMT Jools hopefully AF will take it away for you

Good luck with BD fest ladies.
