Hi All,

Hope you like our new home!

OP posts:
OnlyWantsOne · 19/07/2009 18:24

incredible painful cramps on my left side, feels like some thing is about to explode.

My temp was 36.3 this morning again, but I dont know what it was prior to ovulation as have only just temping.

Hope you are all well - C1ndy, did you get your own way yet today?

Joolsiam · 19/07/2009 17:16

Daisydot - it sounds like life is more frustrating for you than most I think you are right in waiting a bit before seeing the GP - they would probably only tell you to wait anyway !

A couple of not so obvious pregnancy symptoms you could look for - hair stops shedding - ie virtually none on the brush, hair starts growing a lot faster - need to do underarms a LOT more often and (ahem) - with the increased blood flow down below, your bits look darker - more purple !

I've been through my FF charts obsessively and concluded that, after the first brown staining, AF normally arrives up to 48 hours later. So, have got to wait till around 9.30 tomorrow before she is officially declared late This afternoon, I've felt incredibly hormonal - crying at Star Trek, no energy, craving high fat, high carb foods and just generally vegged and felt miserable. Could the hours go any slower !!

daisydotandgertie · 19/07/2009 16:07

Is everyone OK? Hope so. Sounds like lots and lots of frustration at the moment.

It's the same here - I'm now on CD 43 and got another BFN on day 40. My normal cycle length is 25 days. I've given up on the tests for a while!

I've just mowed the grass in a bid to make something happen - our garden is on a v, v steep hill. Nothing so far.

I wonder at what point I should go and see the doctor. I'm putting it off because I don't want him making me feel like a neurotic fool.

I've never been pregnant, so don't know what I might be feeling like - but to be honest, I feel no different to normal. My DH thought he could see more blue veins than normal on my norks but he may be a bit deluded.

I'd be v happy even to see AF - anything to move out of the current limbo.

Hope there's some good news brewing for someone on this thread!

Jools Ditto with you on Swine Flu. I am not cancelling my plans even if this gets out of control. I have the option to work from home so as soon as I have that BFP then I am going to suggest for me to work from home until the Swine Flu clears up.

Thinking of all of you testing and baby dust to all...~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I have started the bd fest but DH has a high temp so we decided not to bd last night (hoping it is not Swine Flu.. but that is just my luck for it to get in my way!!!)... I still have today and have woken up curled my hair and am looking yummy .... anything to get him in the mood, even if he is feeling yukky... why is it that darn illnesses pop up over the most crucial week??? But ssssssssh don't tell DH I am on my mission and what Cindy wants she gets

oh, and re the swine flu - although bothered, I know I'm fit and healthy and I don't have time on my side, so will continue to TTC.

I'm lucky in that my firm has moved out of London and opened up regional offices - one is in my home town, so I now walk to work - heaven ! I may consider actually working from home aswell - it is entirely possible with the work I do, albeit a little isolating.

Joolsiam · 19/07/2009 10:45

CD28 here too Onlywantsone. AF due today or tomorrow. No sign yet. I don't feel PG, and I don't feel like AF is imminent (no PMT). The last two nights, even though the weather hasn't been hot, I've been wide awake and dripping in sweat in the early hours of the morning. I wish I'd been temping at times like this - might give me a clue !! Oh well, I should know either way within 24 hours.

Englebart - it always seems to be quiet at weekends. I'm sure it will be busier tomororw, now we have a few more TTC members

engelbart · 19/07/2009 10:22

Is anyone else worried about swine flu? Definitely not going to stop ttc but a little bit anxious if I do ever get a bfp. I can't believe the governments advice to pregnant women - avoid crowded places and public transport. Not sure how I'd do this when I use train and tube to get to work....

It's very quiet in here!

OnlyWantsOne · 18/07/2009 23:01

hiyaaaaa hope you're all well?

Still no AF, think i'm on day 28. Cramping has gone too - feel fine, sickness has passed though

Have started temping, and using fertility friend charts. My temps are 36.3 first thing in the morning, but everyones are different?

engelbart · 18/07/2009 14:36

Ooh I hope you find out one way or another soon, so frustrating not knowing. I just wish our body could tell as after ovulation whether a baby's implanted or not, would take all the worry out of it.

Joolsiam · 18/07/2009 12:53

It is sounding positive Onlywantsone

I resisted the tests this morning - what will be will be and I guess I'll know one way or the other by the end of the weekend. A teeny bit of brown spotting mid morning - have had this with implantation before but also get it with AF - gaaaahhhh !

OnlyWantsOne · 17/07/2009 23:23

engelbart Im having real aches, feel like ive been kicked in the lower back, because ive been so quesy since Monday ive barely eaten... just forced down a bowl of plain rice, tiredy!!!!!

engelbart · 17/07/2009 22:05

Evening everyone. I'm now on the 2WW and already sympton spotting - my left thigh aches, muscles stretching in preparation of a baby?!! More likely I've just pulled it.

Onlywantsone- how frustrating for you. Will you test again tomorrow of wait for AF to turn up? (if it turns up that is..)

How's everyone else?

OnlyWantsOne · 17/07/2009 21:39

negative result tonight on both PG and ovulation tests from ebay - feel crap too grrrr

Vikks · 17/07/2009 10:34

Onlywantsone & Joolsiam - Got everything crossed for you, good luck x

C1NDY · 17/07/2009 10:06

OnlyWantsOne I became Pg after my OPK sticks were positive all the time... you may be pg in some women we get a high HCG level and they can be picked up on a OPK. Test again tomorrow morning and if its positive then may be. Sounds positive though

Joolsiam · 17/07/2009 09:28

Onlywantsone - all I can do is sympathise, as I'm in a similar situation - full on nausea and aching abdomen yesterday which encouraged me to test this morning - BFN again AF due Sunday night / Monday morning so I guess there is still a slim possibility but I'm not hopeful any more. I guess the nausea must be a bug ?

OnlyWantsOne · 17/07/2009 00:02

i feel miserable now - really thought all the symptoms ive had were a PG - DH working away so much this is never going to happen DD is in bed having a cuddle as a HUGE thunder storm just arrived.

pants

still feel nausious - wish i knew what was going on with my own body.

please tell me its possible that i could be PG?

OnlyWantsOne · 16/07/2009 23:46

im on day 27 now of my usual 24 day cycle, on which i ovulated on day 14 - and am now ovulating again!!!!!!!!!!! Just done an ovulation test (as felt funny watery CM) and low and bloomin behold, Im ovulating twice in a month, is that even poosible???????

DH is away - and not back for 2 weeks, brilliant. What the hell does that mean then?

def cant be pregnant?

yellowflowers · 16/07/2009 16:50

Mistakes happen all the time. I just totally forgot to take my temp today. No reason - just forgot!

laurielou · 16/07/2009 15:51

daisy thank you so much for that. I tried OPKs last month, but think I was a bit eager, started too early then managed to mess up the last few (how can you not POAS correctly?) Honestly, I'm not really cut out for this, am I?

Well, I'll see if temp rises over next few days. Thanks for advice & for not laughing at my idiocy!!!

daisydotandgertie · 16/07/2009 14:27

laurie I'm not a temping expert by any means, but as I understand it, ovulation is only confirmed by a rise in temperature.

So, if you've seen signs of impending ovulation (EWCM) then it is possible it's on the way. Are you using OPKs too? Sometimes, gearing up for ovulation (EWCM for example) happens more than once a month

Once you have actually ovulated, you'll see a sustained increase in temperature which will prove it's happened. If you're using the fertilityfriend website, they take 3 raised temperatures to mean sustained.

The drawback of this of course is that by the time you've managed to confirm for sure you've ovulated, it's too late to conceive, which is why the advice is to bd at any sign of impending ovulation, just in case it's the sign that matters.

OPK sticks can really help, if you're not already using them.

And your temps are almost identical to mine, but yes, they are lower than most. The temps themselves aren't a problem, they're what is normal for you (I very, very rarely run a fever, it's just the way of my body)

It's seeing and building up a pattern which helps the most; and of course getting a sustained shift. So the first month of temping is a bit frustrating because it doesn't actually help with anything much; but the second month is better because you have the information to anticipate what might happen next and on and on it goes, getting more helpful each month. You're right though, the party and stressy month you've had might have upset your cycle. I've been pretty shocked by the change a cold or boozy night has had on my temps.

engelbart · 16/07/2009 13:39

Wow, loads of people! Great to see such a busy thread! Unfortunately I'm at work at the moment and trying to post undercover so will come back later to have a proper read...

Must just say though to C1NDY - that's what happened to me. Before the mc a 28 day cycle now its 29. . I did have a scan and was told everything was gone. Then had bits coming out for 3 months (so distressing). No bleeding now but do sometimes have crippling stomach pains. Don't know whether to ask for another scan, they do the scans in the ante-natal clinic. Last time I was surrounded by pregnant women. Not ideal.

yellowflowers · 16/07/2009 13:26

Don;t forget nelix who started this thread originally I think. She had a girl

yellowflowers · 16/07/2009 13:24

oh wow - good luck heeby - will find her on other thread too

laurielou · 16/07/2009 13:09

Thanks for the welcome c1ndy. Sorry, don't think I made my temps issue clear. I started temping on CD1 & it was something like 36.4. Its pretty much got lower & lower until this morning CD21 its 35.58. Judging my the (tmi alert) EWCM & slight pain in ovary I would've thought it would've increased to show ovulation. Also, is that range of temps normal? I know I'm stressing, & this is only the first month of temping, so not much to go on.....

vikks you sound like you've been through the mill!! Good luck with your surgery next week. I went to my GP 2 weeks ago as 37th birthday was approaching & last period only lasted 3 days. She's referred me for blood test, which have to be done 7 days before period. I've guessed this to be about CD26 (very approx 33 day cycle). So I have that next week. She also told me to get DP in, so he's yet to book his "downstairs MOT" as he's dubbed it.
