I had very faint positive with clearblue 6 days before AF was due. So faint I thought I as imagining it. Tested again the next day with first response and had much stronger line.

If you don't get the result you want and end up using the OV sticks try and test in the afternoon 2.30ish and use concentrated wee by not drinking / weeing for 3 hours before. Sounds tricky but more likely to get an accurate result. If you can't test then do later rather than earlier.

Thanks, i will order some of those as i know i dont have the will power to wait. I caved and it was negative. Soooooo frustrating. I am still hopeful as i didnt test til about half 7 last night which i know is too late really. AF due tom or Fri and i will know for sure.

I drove myself mad every month trying not to test, and then when I inevitably gave in and tested with a clear blue or other expensive test I would feel so gutted when it was negative as it then seemed such a waste. And as usually this was early, it didn't help really as then it would be back to square one. At least with these you can afford to use plenty and it makes the 2WW a little more interesting.

It's so hard to resist testing. Try those cheapie tests off the internet. £10 for 50. You can test 30 times a day with those I had a very very very faint positive 5 days before AF due which got darker day by day.

Like 'Bonky Bonky' - much better term than BD. Maybe we should start a thread to officially bin BD for BKBK.

Hello everyone, hope you don't mind me popping in for some advice? It's been 2 weeks since 'bonky bonky' ;-) and AF is due either thurs or fri. Is tom am too early too test? I have been feeling reaaly sick for the last couple of days....

It's torture because sod's law, I start twitching and buying HPTs and then flipping af starts on cd 32 or something stupid!

So I will take note of your advice for next month, I will stitch my hands into my pockets to resist testing before day 32

I got BFP day after AF due.

I know what you all mean, with #1 I tried for 4 years but only test twice in that time, this time I have been trying for 19 months and have tested 4 times already, all of which since I started using MN.

dpo = days past ovulation

Early testing is the devil's work (either that or something invented by the HPT companies)

Sit on yer hands until cd32 I say (for a 28 day cycle that is) never ever test before you are four days late. If you are pg you'll still be pg on cd32

7 DPO is defo too early.

I got a BFP at 10 DPO, but I'd thrown the test in the bin after 5 mins because nothing, it was only when I checked a couple of mins later there was a VERY faint line. Tested again 4 days later and got a much darker line.

Wait a few more days...

look, it is only the second try. you could get a BFP in a week. or not

it takes a healthy couple an average of 12 months i think, or is it 6 to conceive.. anyway. 2 months is not long, you have an approx 25 % chance every month, so you do have to be realistic.

don;t get hysterical, there is plenty of time for that later!
