OP posts:
bluesnowfalcon · 24/08/2009 11:24

Good luck to you as well

Hollyoaks · 24/08/2009 10:56

Its my wedding anniversary on the 4th so there will be plenty of ttc that weekend. .

Good luck this month.

bluesnowfalcon · 24/08/2009 10:53

I'm on CD17 so think i've ovulated this weekend ish so now in to the 2ww and af due roughly 5th but thinking i might test on 3rd as it's my birthday and I can't think of a better birthday pressie

Stay in touch - good to speak to another teacher ttc!

Hollyoaks · 24/08/2009 10:46

I'm on cd 5 so af just leaving (hopefully for a long time), will be ovulating early September and testing around the 20th September. How exciting hadn't thought about when I would be testing until just now.

at buying ginger snaps, I was inundated with them by work colleagues when I couldnt keep the ms under wraps. The thought of them still makes me wretch, it was rich teas and dairy milk for me for the first 4 months and that was it! Only positive was I lost a stone and have kept it off ever since.

bluesnowfalcon · 24/08/2009 10:37

Had kind of thought about it but it's a bit easier in primary! I've tried to arrange it so that I've got a TA in class with me as much of the day as possible and we have a diabled/staff toilet outside my classroom so I wouldn't have to run far.

I would have to confide in my partner teacher in year 5 so that he could keep an eye out for me while I was sick but other than that thinking it should be ok.

Did buy a pack of wheat free ginger snaps at the weekend in preparation! I know that is wishful thinking but saw them and bought on impulse

When is your af due? Or when will you be testing?

Hollyoaks · 24/08/2009 10:20

ms = morning sickness

Its been on my mind a lot, I had constant nausea with dd up until about 16 weeks but luckily most of it was over the second half of the summer term and summer hols so not much going on and not many classes in a secondary school. Seemed to snap out of it by September and work was fine until I went on maternity at the start of the spring term. This time round, if we hit the bullseye fairly quickly, ms will hit over this next term when teaching is pretty full-on, worried about leaving classes and running for loo or breaking science lab rules and munching rich teas in class . Just wondered if you had thought about this and now I'm thinking I have just added another worry to your (probably) already huge pile of worries.

bluesnowfalcon · 24/08/2009 10:04

Hollyoaks ms? I'm hoping for a BFP to get rid of one of the new ones coming up - done two years of being kicked, bitten and punched think I'm due an easier class!

I'm guessing that the swine flu might get me too once we are back in the swing of it what with all those snotty noses around! Although did see my brother while he was ill and my DP works with him and we were both fine, so maybe I won't get it

Hollyoaks · 24/08/2009 09:47

I'm a teacher too! though there does seem to be a lot of us on MN. How do you think you'll cope with the ms this term?

Thanks for the info on swine flu, I am a little worried about it, sort of expecting to get it over the winter due to working in a school and being exposed to lots of people.

bluesnowfalcon · 24/08/2009 09:35

Thanks for that Hollyoaks. I go back to work as a teacher next week so I'm sure that will keep me busy

My SIL to be is pregnant (about 15 weeks) and had swine flu when she was about 10 weeks. She was told she could have the medication but they couldn't tell her if it would be safe to take it - she didn't risk it and after about 10 days started to feel better but was rough going while she was ill. Her 14 month old didn't catch it though but my brother did and had a lighter dose of it - he also didn't take the medication.

Hope that helps hollyoaks

Hollyoaks · 24/08/2009 08:53

bluesnowfalcon we are around the same age but I'm ttc #2. Good luck and try to keep busy and hopefully the 2ww won't be too long.

April I agree about seeing lots of pg women when ttc, though we're meant to be in a pg drought due to the swine flu epidemic (aren't we?).

Does anyone else have any concerns about swine flu and pg?

bluesnowfalcon · 24/08/2009 07:38

Hi all hope it's ok if I join you on this thread. I'm nearly 28 and TTC #1. We are on cycle 2 now and have ovulated this weekend I think going on dates so now in to 2ww I think

Good luck all and hopefully we'll have some BFP's soon

April80 · 24/08/2009 07:03

Seany - I was saying to my DH before the weekend that the minute we start TTC the world seems to get pg first!!! Over the weekend found out two friends are pg!

Hope everyone is well and had a good weekend!

seanybosmummy · 23/08/2009 17:26

Hiya everyone, hope you're all having a good weekend.

Thanks Holly,im just putting it all to the back of my mind at the minute, though i did get upset yesterday when we bumped into an old friend of ours and she told us that herself, and 2 of her friends are pregnant. Im pleased for her obv,but i felt very depressed afterwards.
Everywhere i look i see pg women-my sil is pg, my friend has just had a baby, and also my good friend in work is pg with #3.

Ibble how are you feeling about your friends news?

Hollyoaks · 22/08/2009 17:49

Seany that must be awful for you, especially after already having one dc. I suppose you just assume everything is in working order and it will happen fairly quickly. Hopefully the drs appointment will get here quickly and you won't be too frustrated.

IbbleObble · 22/08/2009 12:07

Hi everyone

Welcome to the mad house IbbleObble
I have no idea what that could mean, though the only thing i am sure of is that our bodies always find weird ways to disappoint/play tricks on us

Sorry for being so grumpy today everyone, i guess im just feeling a little bit disheartened. Af is here, i cant remember what day it arrived, though i think it was monday. Im waiting impatiently on my hosp app arriving in the post, but was told it would be 8-12 weeks. Also i've started panicking about what they will discover when i get there ...

Anyway enough of my self pity.how is everyone today?

Whitty how are you?
