Good luck EmNotPGYet I had the same dilemma when I came off the pill when ttc dd but we just went for it with no delay to get my cycle back to normal

EmNotPGYet · 11/09/2009 22:55

Hello everyone! I'm 29 (so just qualify here) and my husband and I have just decided to TTC - he works in politics so wants to make sure there's no risk of next year's general election and a baby coinciding, but we reckon we'll start next month. I'm due to start my next pack of the pill on Thursday (have been on it solidly for 9.5 years) but am thiking of not taking it and using condoms for a month instead to get myself back to normal. Pros of this - I've heard that lots of people coming off Microgynon lose weight and their sex drive increases, which would be amazing! Cons - i've also heard there is a fertility boost the first month off the pill which I'd be loathe to miss out on. Decisions, decisions... either way next month we'll be on our way!

Hollyoaks · 11/09/2009 20:56

Harmonyb23 it sounds like your cycle may not have settled since coming off contraception, it can take a few months to settle down. On the other hand it may be early signs of pg, only time will tell. Good luck

harmonyb23 · 11/09/2009 15:40

I've been feeling sick every morning this week . I don't know what's going on... I started my period the other day and then it stopped rather abruptly... I am a bit worried that something is wrong with me, maybe it's because I have just come off of contraception for the first time in 5 years...?

Anyway how is everyone? Hope everything is going well for those who have already managed to conceive and for those who haven't yet how's it going?

Kaylo your right about the heads of department, I really dont care what they think. I'll hopefully off on maternity leave and won't be thinking twice about work whilst I'm away. Cant wait.

whittywantababy6 · 10/09/2009 12:23

Hey ladies...still no af...la la la I wake up every morning looking for it...Im always hungry now but doesnt seem unusual Im a little fatty LOL...but last nite I want potatoes rice and cucumbers with dressing...LOL yummy anywho hope all is well

kaylo thanks I want her vacation to be that long too

Kaylo · 10/09/2009 09:00

Hi girls

Hollyoaks Who gives a s**t what the head of dept says - it's their problem not yours. I think it's quite out of order of them tbh.
You don't additional stress from them when you're TTC!!

whitty Not to be taken the wrong way but I hope you're waiting a looooong time for AF, like maybe 9months or so

I don't feel pregnant yet - just very very very tired!! I've totally lost my appetite cos this have started making my stomach twist so I think morning sickness is on it's way. bleurgh, I'm green at gills just thinking about it But pleased as well as means things are going well, all the icky things are really good things I guess - good job they're temporary tho - couldn't cope with 9month tiredness and sickness!!!

Hope you ladies are in receipt of some nice well deserved BFP's this month

xxxx

Hollyoaks · 09/09/2009 20:15

Hi BSF just responded to you on the June bus, like I said I've still got my fingers crossed for you.

So pleased to be back at school [sarcasm emoticon] what with all of the meetings, a new school day made up of 6 lessons to get to grips with, a new GCSE course to plan for as well as having no laptop therefore no printer or internet access. I'm stressed already and the kids aren't all back until tomorrow. Don't know when I'l get time to make a baby.

As well as all that our new chemistry teacher has announced she's 3 months pg and will be leaving in Feb to have baby. That didnt go down well with the head and head of science. Not sure how they'll feel about two members of the same department being on maternity leave but I suppose thats for them to worry about.

Rant over, how are you? How has work been this week?

whittywantababy6 · 09/09/2009 20:12

Hey all how is everyone kaylo how are things...blue what is your normal cycle legnth?

Update on me nothing LOL waiting for AF and my temp to drop and my Drs. appointment. I just realized that if Im pregnant my lovely fiance will be gone the whole month of JUNE 2010 for training this sucks I would be all alone...what would I do with my first child OMG...panicking already

Anywho hope everyone is well

bluesnowfalcon · 09/09/2009 18:37

Hi all hollyoaks how is school? I can't keep up with MN now that we are back with the children!

Anyway think I'm on CD32 and still no AF but got cramps so think it's on its way - that and the BFN that I got this morning kinda suggests that this month isn't the one. Hope next month is different but guess we'll see

Hollyoaks · 07/09/2009 17:22

Snap, dd is 19mo and just starting to enter childhood rather than being a baby. I'm similar and missing my bump and the baby stage. Can't believe its over already, sort of sad that this may be the start of the last time as well, unless I can persuade dh to go for #3.

ChairmumMiaow · 07/09/2009 17:07

DS is 19mo. Just starting to talk more than the odd word and not too far into tantrums (he throws himself to the floor and kicks his legs and screams for about 15 seconds then gets fed up) so good fun!

I'm very broody though and reminiscent about that newborn stage, as I expect everyone here who has done it before is.

Hollyoaks · 07/09/2009 16:57

Hi Chairmum good luck on #2. How old is your ds?

ChairmumMiaow · 07/09/2009 16:55

Hello all, can I join in?

We had a mad moment last month and when we realised I was probably ovulating decided to go for it for a few days. It turned out not to be, but I felt really rough and quite sick for a while, and now am quite embarrassed because I was convinced I was pregnant and spent a small fortune on those early tests.

I'm 29 so I still just qualify

I also have never deliberately TTC (DS was a fortunate but very wanted mishap) so all of the stuff about ovulation dates and temperatures is new to me. I shall need to start reading.

Hollyoaks · 07/09/2009 15:27

I've had a strange day today. I'm sure i ovulated yesterday as I had sharp pain in my lower left side front and back. It was so painful me and dh didnt do the deed though we made up for it this morning. Felt fine and went to work but by lunch time I felt really nauseous and dizzy and had lower abdominal cramps.

I had to leave a meeting at work and someone asked me if I was pg as I looked pale. I do feel rough but I'm sure its all phsychological and I'm symptom spotting. Can't think what it would be related to unless its ovulation-linked?

whittywantababy6 · 07/09/2009 15:22

No news on me...my cervix is low and kind of firm now but my temp went up again today...so no 19 days of high temps way above my coverline...so IDK I feel normal though..

How is everyone

Hollyoaks · 07/09/2009 14:50

Kaylo ditto on the morning sickness, not looking forward to that at all. But its worth it when they arrive. I'm looking forward to when your bump starts to show and you feel great. Listen to me going on and I'm not even pg yet.

Harmony have fun, hopefully you'll not have too long to wait

whitty any news?

harmonyb23 · 07/09/2009 11:34

Hollyoaks - I am all of the above. Very excited at the moment, I have had my very first period in 3 years. This has excited me as I now know when (roughly) I will be fertile this month and am looking forward to getting down to some serious baby making with my fiance...

Thanks for the welcome Kaylo and Whitty and congratulations Kaylo what wonderful news, you must be so excited

Can't wait till I get my own BFP... So exciting...

Kaylo · 06/09/2009 21:39

Aaaaargh!!!! Seany Thank you so much!

I'm starting to get excited now - even more after reading your very excited post . DH keeps patting my tummy and saying "I think it's a girl, and when she's born I'll have 2 weeks off at the end of the (football) season"

I'm not quite thinking that far ahead just yet - I'm dreading morning sickness Just want to get to 12wks now so I can be scanned and dated and see my bean

Thanks again for all your kind words xxxx

seanybosmummy · 06/09/2009 20:46
