Ooooh, had a good heart to heart with dh yesterday and we talked about the pros and cons of waiting 7 years - finally made him see sense and that waiting is silly (for us).

Also told him how down I've been about it and he felt terrible saying he had no idea - he would've if he'd listened to me!!!

Soooo, new plan is to review circumstances in September after our anniversary holiday to Barcelona - and hopefully will start ttc very soon afterwards.

Is it wrong that I've worked out when I'll be ovulating between 23rd and 28th September?
Maybe thats a little too hopeful so I also worked out Octobers ov days too

Just thought I'd let you all know x x x

Kaylo · 25/05/2009 15:06

(peeps head around door)

Does anyone mind if I join please?

I'm 23 and trying to talk hubby in having #3.

Facing some difficulties but only with him, he wants to wait a year to be ready ??? wtf??

I want one now or be pregnant in next 3-6m and I figure he has 9 months to get ready, we have 2 little ones DD age 4 and DS age almost 3. And I dont wanna wait too long for various reasons:-

  1. Theres gonna be a bigger age gap than any of us planned (we always said we would have more than 2) and I think ds and dd will adapt better, also hopefully would prevent ds and dd ganging up on #3. (as much)
  1. Childcare, my mum looks after the children whilst I work but says she will stop when she gets to age 65, she's currently 62.
  1. Money, dh wants me to be a SAHM in a couple of years so really I could do with staying employed for the time being for maternity pay.
  1. I want one noooooowwwwww.

Sorry for the moan. I just wanted to tell someone who maybe will listen. The while situation is getting me down, waaaaay down to the point my mum is worried and wants to cart me off the gp.
I worry about everything, I only see difficulties in waiting and it's almost as if dh wants that so that when he turns round and says "how about we babydance tonight" i'll say " sorry honey but nows no longer a good time."

Grrrrr. I wish I could please everyone.

Does any of this make sense? Cos I may as well be talking Swahili to dh whenever I manage to fight a conversation out of him about it.

Antdamm · 25/05/2009 14:47

Hey Ladies,

Joy - lovely to hear from you. Glad to hear you had some relief, albeit very light, from this TTC'ing malarky. Will wait to hear your outcome.

Nowt going on with me at all. Just Bd'ing every chance we get and hoping for the best. My sister has announced that she is 'trying for her first' so that should be interesting to see how quickly she conceives - i bet its in the first month

Well, i updated the list but im not sure if its right.
Seany how are you doing? Any symptoms? Whitty try not to get to disheartened, maybe you just tested too early - naughty girl

just noticed a typo - was supposed to say "the whole situation is getting me down", not while oops.

Thanks again for reading.

Joy27 · 25/05/2009 10:38

Hi ladies!

Although I'm "on sabbatical", I couldn't resist popping in to say hello. There have been so many posts since I waved goodbye! Hope all are well. I can't spot any BFPs, but do correct me if I'm wrong crosses fingers

I have to say, it has been wonderful not to be writing stuff down, not peering at my knickers (well, not too obsessively), not taking folic acid and that stuff. Once again I spent much of the month away for work, and it was great not to be fretting about whether I was missing ov or not. I highly recommend some "time off" when your patience with ttc is wearing thin. It's amazing how much shorter a month feels... it drags so much when you are watching every sign.

Having said that.... I am now on CD34 (have still been counting my days- couldn't help myself!) with no af. I had very light pink spotting on CD30 and then some very very light brown spotting on CD31. And then nothing.

My usual cycle length is 30-31 days. I had one mammoth 42-er the other month but I'm pretty sure that was down to a UTI I had that month.

So now of course I am on tenterhooks... My laissez faire attitude didn't even last a month!

Anyway I have wittered on for ages now so will go. And will pop back to keep you updated.

whittywantababy6 · 24/05/2009 15:03

I posted my basal body temperature chart under my profile...can someone help me understand when I ovulated I think it was last week.

whittywantababy6 · 24/05/2009 14:45

Hey everyone I tested this morning 11dpo I believe and bfn so Im not testing again until cd37 because thats the latest my cycle has come hope everyone is enjoying there vacays

seanybosmummy · 22/05/2009 15:45

Hi whitty, your symptoms sound pretty positive, though im a bit clueless where temps, cp etc are concerned. You're on cd24 isnt that right? The sensible thing to do would be to wait a few days, but if i was in your position with the symptoms i would be rushing for the early detection hpts aisle . I really hope you get a bfp, we need some good news on here.
Where are you off to on your hols?? Im so jealous, im not getting away until july booooooooooo

OP posts:
whittywantababy6 · 22/05/2009 13:55

ok ladies should I test again...my cp is high and soft...lots of creamy cm...and cramping...and my temp has been up 3 consecutive days way above my coverline...need your help

whittywantababy6 · 22/05/2009 13:36

hey all...im great happy to see everyone is in a better mood...Im also leaving for my holiday so excited...today I feel alot of pressure...in my tummy dont know why hope somebody gets BFP this month go us...lol Im our number 1 fan enjoy your days

seanybosmummy · 22/05/2009 13:17

awww thanks bubble. im going to see if i can get docs app for monday and take rtuffs advice about not moving til they agree to do something
Ds is a lot better thank god, hes getting back to his normal self.
make sure u relax and have a great time on your hols!!! xx

OP posts:
Bubblebell1 · 22/05/2009 09:41

Hi girls!

seany big hugs to your ds. a burst ear drum is awful. my ds1 has suffered with them a few times. I hope he gets better soon.
I would def get another opinion. 13 months is a long time and are entittled to some help and support.
With regards to the spotting... you could still be lucky this month.. dont give up babe.

whitty i hope your ok.

rtuff thats good news about your bloodtest. fingers crossed for a bfp this month.

ant Welcome back sorry to hear of your tennants from hell. glad your cycle is getting shorter

Well im off on holiday tomorrow!! cant wait busy today taking cats and rabbits to the animal hotel. I will see you all when i get back xxxx

Rtuff · 21/05/2009 17:00

Day 3 bloodtest can be done between day 3-5 and the Day 21 has to be exactly 7 days before AF is due.

I reckon it's definately worth a try going to your local health centre and see what they say, if not is there another doctor at your practice that you could go and see and tell them your not happy and want things done. Is your GP a lady?? maybe go and see a female doc if not...

Keep your chin up... last option... Go and sit by the reception desk at your Doc's and don't move untill they agree to do something

seanybosmummy · 21/05/2009 16:45

thanks girls, my head is just all over the place today. whitty the little "we got your back" at the end of your post made me giggle xx

Im wondering if my local health centre may be able to refer me somewhere as i dont want to go back to my normal gp for obvious reasons.

rtuff the day 3 bloodtest-does this have to be done on cd3?

OP posts:
whittywantababy6 · 21/05/2009 16:04

I agree seany seany get a second oppinion...and the poor baby burst an ear drum that has to hurt...12 months is a long time most doctors start investigating at 12 months. Try to remain posiive ok. We got your back

Rtuff · 21/05/2009 15:48

Seany Sounds like you having a bit of bad couple of days.

Can you get a 2nd opinion from another GP? Aparently, when you've been trying for 12 months then that is the time to start having "investigations" into why you haven't conceived, ask them to do a day 3 bloodtest which tests for PCO's and a day 21 bloodtest to see if your ovulating, but i would definately go to another GP...
