Symptom spotting!

We all do it, I have even in the past googled everything possible to see if it is a sign of pregnancy, even sore bum cheek (which turned out ot be sciatica which is not a symptom).

Anyone got any unusual things they have spotted whilst ttc.

My latest shot in the dark was thrush, which apparently can be a sign so anything goes.

I was going to make this a step away from symptom sppotting thread, but I thought that was asking too much .

Thanks everyone.

From the due date calculator on mnet I'm due Boxing Day assuming a 24 day cycle.

Can't quite believe it!
Still feeling rubbish and now I'm at work on night shift but at least I know why I'm feeling so spinny and light headed.

We told our parents tonight and they were all pleased, we will probably tell some rl friends next weekend as we'll be going out for dp's bday and they will guess anyway if I don't drink.

Will join Due in Dec soon .

Xmas baby on it's way here!

LaDiDaDi · 17/04/2009 17:13

Well ladies...I've got no willpower, and I was feeling really rubbish and lightheaded before I went to ASDA, and a 2 pack of tests was less than a fiver, and I thought "Well I'll need them sooner or later, surely."

I got a BFP !!!!

nunnie · 17/04/2009 12:16

No new symptoms today, think I have even lost the old ones now . God AF cramps last night, another early visit on the cards I think naughty witch...

How is everyone else doing today?

LaDiDaDi - I tested on CD30 and normally have a 28 day cycle, so would have been pretty surprised to see a BFN, especially as I'd had no spotting at all

PinkJenny - I did SS+ as I could be bothered to get a GP to sign my form, and I kind of figured it would be easier for me to have a semi normal meal with DP in the evenings. Day 5 for me was the worst - I go to the gym a lot - day 5 was the first day I tried to work out on CD and I ended up having dizzy spells and blurred vision - apparently it is your body adjusting to the diet and expelling toxins etc, which is why it is really important to drink lots of water and flush everything out.

After that, it became really quite easy, but my weight loss stalled because of the exercise so I added in more food - a sort of cross between the 810 and 1000 calorie plans and then the weight started coming off pretty fast again.

I think it is a fabulous diet because you see results really quickly and keep motivated. I still have 2.5 stone to lose and will definitely go back to the diet (hopefully in 2010 now )

LaDiDaDi · 17/04/2009 10:54

Hey, congrats Jooolsiam.

I'm determined not to test until the 23rd (D30) as that's dp's bday so if positive it will be an extra present for him and tbh if AF doesn't arrive by then then I'd be pretty sure that I was preg as that would be a really long cycle for me.

Pinkjenny · 17/04/2009 10:54

This is only Day 5. I don't feel too bad, still craving food, but not actually hungry, iyswim! Did you do SS for 7 weeks? I'm only intending on doing SS for a couple of weeks, and then moving to SS+.

Joolsiam · 17/04/2009 10:46

How long have you been doing Cambridge ? The hunger should go within 3 or 4 days as you get into ketosis - then any cravings are all in the mind Just think of how much healthier you will be when that BFP arrives

There is lots of good support on the Cambridge Diet Chat Room - I can highly recommend it

Pinkjenny · 17/04/2009 10:42

Jools - that sounds like a good idea. I am just so miserable at the moment - one minute obsessing over Cambridge and how hungry I am, and the next obsessing over ttc.

Joolsiam · 17/04/2009 10:36

What a coincidence ! Pinkjenny - I was on the Cambridge Diet for 7 weeks (lost 16lbs and was intending not to TTC yet and lose another stone . Had my first planned cheat day on Easter Sunday.

BFP on Monday and have had a few strange days of knowing I have to eat again but not quite wanting to - am trying to stay eating ultra healthy with a couple of Cambridge Diet meals every day to supplement, but it is getting increasingly difficult to avoid a carb overload to curb the nausea

They do say that it is quite common to conceive whilst on the Cambridge Diet as your body is getting the optimum mix of vitamins and minerals. It is also a good excuse to test early as you have to get out of ketosis as soon as you know you are PG.

I'm going to try and get referred to a dietician to do me an eating plan as I've been on and off diets for so long, I'm really not sure what normal portion sizes are - couldn't bear to put that stone back on and am scared of mistakenly eating too little.

Pinkjenny · 17/04/2009 10:29

Hi Marla, I'm CD20, I think 7dpo also. I feel nothing, apart from a weird taste in my mouth which is more likely down to the fact that I am doing the Cambridge Diet.

I just so want a sibling for dd.

That's brilliant, congratulations.

Thanks for your best wishes.

Joolsiam · 17/04/2009 10:25

YES !! Tested on Monday, so am 4+5 today

I spent a few days being terrified of testing as I couldn't bear to go through such a traumatic MC again - so much blood and pain and shock

I have a long 7 weeks to go to get past the point of November's MC, but have finally taken my head out of the sand, given myself a good talking to and decided that this PG WILL be different and I should enjoy it. Nausea has kicked in today and is already worse than it ever got last time, so I feel queasy but strangely reassured to be

Good luck to you

Pinkjenny · 17/04/2009 10:22

Ha ha, I've just tested, AF not due til next Thursday. BFN. Is it too early?

Are you pg Jools??

Joolsiam · 17/04/2009 10:09

Oh, and I've given myself a gold star for not testing this time till 16DPO, when AF was 2 days late AND I've not yet taken another test to "check" yet either

Pinkjenny · 17/04/2009 10:00

I've hidden those 'trying for a whatsit month baby' threads. It seemed so sad to move to the next month! I think if they work for you, it's the greatest support network in the world, but for me, they were making me crazy!! I even bought ovulation kits and cheap pg tests, which I never did when I was ttc dd. I am easily influenced, what can I say?!

Joolsiam · 17/04/2009 09:56

I keep away from the "hoping for an xx month baby" threads, but do like some of the non time-specific "clubs" we have - really supportive groups of online friends and no competition, just an understanding shoulder to cry on or to share good news with - when nobody else would understand

Pinkjenny · 17/04/2009 09:49

I'm not going back to them. It felt a bit like a competition for me (not a criticism, just how I felt), like who would get pregnant this montn, and who wouldn't. And although I'm only cycle 2, when I didn't get pg on cycle 1 I felt like a big failure! If you are less obsessive than me then head over, they are very supportive!

I conceived dd on cycle 2 also!

LaDiDaDi · 17/04/2009 09:28

I'm d24 today, past 4 cycles since I came off the pill to ttc have been between 21-26 days.
Many moons ago before I was on the pill, ie as a teenager, I had cycles of around 25-26 days. Conceived dd on cycle 2 last time so not sure how long my cycles were then iyswim.

I've not been on the conception threads for ages either, I felt like I couldn't keep up with what was going on on them and everyone else seemed to be temping etc, though I will probably start next month if I don't get a bfp this time.

Pinkjenny · 17/04/2009 09:23

When is AF due LaDiDaDi? I'm due next Thursday, and truth be told, I don't have any pg symptoms I'm staying away from the Conception threads though because they make me insane.
