Paddington is also oddly feeling rather horny inbetween her very annoying af cramps!

paddington wishes dp would take her shopping and glad she didnt go to the zoo today but sat and made herself feel sick eating junk and watching films

TrinityRhino · 06/06/2009 14:00

trinityhrino has sliced her hand on glass so she wants chocolate, lots of it and someone to take the kids away so she can nap

Thandeka · 06/06/2009 13:58

Thandeka is horny as hell and wants to shag the afternoon away cept she can't incase it induces another MC (Last MC was just after back from honeymoon- so even though unlikely lots of shagging caused it- we won't take the risk). Soooooo frustrating though especially since in all the months TTC it is sooooo hard to get in the mood sometimes and now I am - and I bloody can't!

paddington21 · 05/06/2009 16:48

hahaha paddington is choking on her crisps (i know naughty, naughty) at the babybio comment!

Paddington also booked herself up for her scan( already crapping one's knickers about it) and accupunture

OracleInaCoracle · 05/06/2009 08:59

lol thats an excellent point!

Thandeka · 05/06/2009 08:53

Thandeka sends Lissilou some babybio fertiliser to sprinkle on her cornflakes.

(hang on perhaps not isn't that for plants only!? You'd think docs would have come up with a Babybio for women TTC too!)

OracleInaCoracle · 05/06/2009 08:45

lissie is officially in the 2ww and hates knowing how many eggs she had, because what if none of them fertalize?

Tigresswoods · 05/06/2009 08:41

Tigress has realised that she and DH only now BD at the fertile times. Not good, more tiffin PLEASE!

Paddington has convinced herself she has blocked tubes as well. Paddington should stop looking on the internet and drinking disgusting herbal tea!

paddington21 · 04/06/2009 19:24

paddington has decided against ferning her tongue!
Thanks for all your extremely good advice. AF showed her head this morning. I'm disappointed but relieved i dont have to have provera and more hassle. Am now dreading the scanning for follicles... more things to go wrong

Paddington does not want people judging her follicles

Thandeka · 04/06/2009 08:34

Thandeka laughs out loud at Tigress and completely agrees! (Thandeka secretly thinks her own children won't be as annoying as her friends children but in reality also thinks whisper all kids are annoying and exhausting!) But shhhh don't tell anyone- especially not facebook!

Tigresswoods · 04/06/2009 08:20

Tigress is confused. Everyday I feel I want to have children but then when I have to spend time with friends' children I wonder why.

Odd

Glad it was helpful- is kinda my new career too- am sort of working in sexual health now. The benefit of using a monitor over opks is it reads and interprets the result for you- none of this "am I/aren't I" ovulating. I have used persona for years but it does sometimes miss my ov but now I have started weeing on the test sticks anyhow so now I am such a dork I can tell you whether a persona test stick is positive or not despite there being no written instructions to tell you this since the monitor is supposed to check it for you!

By the way you can also monitor your fertility by looking at the ferning pattern of your saliva too using a special microscope- my advice- don't bother- way way to difficult to see anything! And big hassle as have to wait 5 mins before reading result etc.

paddington21 · 03/06/2009 20:37

Thandeka thank you so, so, much! What a fountain of knowledge you are I will definitely be finding my cervix in the coming days!
Great link to the site I will getting some training on testing i have a thermometer and a blank chart already will photocopy and the coming cycle i will monitor my temps all month.
I will also be using preseed as this and my last cycle clomid did dry me up a bit. I havent felt like i ovulated like i did in the 1st month... hopefully the higher dose should do the trick.. i really hope!

Found a monitor on amazon for £50 so going to getting myself that too. is it better than normal tests do you think?

Paddington is so pleased someone has finally answered the questions she was too shy to ask.

Thandeka · 03/06/2009 20:14

Its not a dumb question AT ALL (and no doc would link knowing where your cervix was to mothering abilities!)- heck the vast majority of women wouldn't know what a cervix looks like if it bit them on the nose! By the way it feels like the tip of your nose! My cervix is in an odd place so you do have to rummage (well not you I mean me obviously!) www.beautifulcervix.com/ is a great place to get an idea (graphic pics!) but basically you just have to get used to what is normal for you and correlate it with your other signs so you can compare what is normal for you (no good checking mid month for whether its high or low as hard to tell you need to be able to check it comparitively). I check mine while sat on the loo just after first morning wee- not every morning just every few days and probably everyday when coming up to fertile time- is very quick and easy to do but it did take me about 3 months of doing it before I got to grips with it (as it were!)

Temping yup- first thing in am. - excellent book to help you with this is "taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler and you can get free lessons from an NFP practitioner by following this link (rest of that website is helpful too)

Actually sorry I missed bit about you being on clomid- this may have thrown your cycles out or lengthened your luteal phase so it makes it trickier- but if you do have your dose increased, by charting your cycles you should know more definitively when you ovulate. (although clomid may trigger more than one ovulation in a cycle? fraid I don't know much about clomid)

Oh and disharge- on that front again its a good idea to get an idea of what is normal for you (making sure its not an infection) and keep a record of it - clomid apparently dries you out a bit (on the EWCM front anyhow) so good you have lots (and not to offer false hope but it can be a sign of early pregnancy). Seriously I can't recomend charting enough for getting to grips with your body and how it works and fertilityfriend is a great website to store all your data on and work out your stats.

The test sticks are here unfortunately I can't find the link to the monitor but it was a brand new one on ebay on at buy it now or make and offer. I made an offer for £50ish I think and got it.

Ooops and this has gone a bit off-topic but my status uppdate would now be

Thandeka is enthusiastically waxing lyrical about her cervix with strangers on an annonymous internet forum.

paddington21 · 03/06/2009 19:44

paddington is also hugging thandeka after hearing about her crappy day. Have tomorrow off it sounds like you need it and if you get sick pay take thurs and fri off with 'sickness' maybe. Look after number one hun.

Hope all is ok xx

paddington21 · 03/06/2009 19:40

Thandeka. could you send me the link that would be amazing. im glad you did reproductiveness at uni as if you wouldnt mind at all could you help me???... how on early do i check the positioning of my cervix i dont really get this high and low thing... dumb question i realise but if i ask my doctor, one is slightly concerned she may think if i dont know that, than i obviously cannot be a good mother... stupid i know. Also temping i guess that is 1st thing in the morning when i wake before i move? I still producing a lot of discharge what does that mean in your opinion.

Talked to doc... wait another week then test. if nothing will have period brought on and monitoring with 100mg clomid instead of 50.

Facebook status tonight is... why is my boss so nosy at 7 months pregnant do not tell me i just need to wait! I do realise thank you! No i dont want to talk about when i start ivf i am not bloody planning on it!

Thandeka · 03/06/2009 18:57

Tonights FB status I wish I could write (but can't due to amount of colleagues on there!)

Thandeka fucking hates her job and the ridiculous issue that caused a shedload of stress, trauma and tears today and it can't be good for the tiny emby she is trying to hang onto this time only she can't tell work to fuck off and leave her alone or explain why.

but on a more lighthearted note

Thandeka wonders if vomiting in the bin in front of her class tommorrow will mean she can be sent home

Thandeka · 03/06/2009 10:57

Did you just only use OPK's as they can sometimes give funny reading and you can have 2LH spikes in a month- temping with a sustained thermal shift is the only way to tell if you ovulated. Sorry did reproductive phsyiology at university and am a little bit of a geek about it! I have been charting for 4 years now (mainly to avoid getting pregnant initially!) and now I can only definitively tell I have ovulated by doing the following- temping, mucus checking, cervix positioning, persona (but due to irregular ovulation it sometimes misses it so I have to use other indicators) and putting all the data into my pretty fertility friend chart which then works it out for me! Labour intensive but I'm used to it!

So are you now on day 37 or something of cycle? Perhaps you had an LH surge but not sufficient to actaully ovulate (has to be a certain threshold) and this cycle is an anovulatory one (or one where you ovulated much later). Anovulatory cycles are very common. Sorry for the info bombardment- just trying to help you find reasons for delayed AF/-ve test.

BTW I have a brand new clearblue monitor unused with three boxes of test sticks- I brought it the month I fell that ended in MMC and now I fell again it probably won't get used (if this one works out- so perhaps I shouldn't sell it until end of July!) happy to sell it at cost so think it was a £100 all in (much much cheaper than shops- RRP- £160- £100ish for monitor and £20 per box test sticks) or could try and find the links i got it from if you wanted?

Status update: Thandeka strongly recommends acuupuncture and reflexology for TTC and if North London based knows where you can get it for £15 a session (accu) and Reflexology free!

paddington21 · 03/06/2009 10:10

Aw bless you thandeka well actually... ( here she goes) i ovulated this cycle where on my previous 2 cycles i ovulated later. I ovulated on day 13/14. I did another opk test when i normally ovulate and it was negative.

I doubt i can talk to doc today which is so annoying as i dont start work til late but tomorrow i will have to talk to her at work

Paddington has ordered preseed and cheap poas tests. Next month she shall be ordering a clearblue fertility monitor.

Thandeka · 03/06/2009 09:35

Do you know when you definitely ovulated? Could it be an evil delayed ovulation leading to delayed AF?
(My ovulation day ranges from day 14- day 26 hence my cycle is 26 to 39days long- so I only can predict for definite when AF is due if I know when I ovulated as I have a fairly constant 12 day luteal phase post ov.)

Anyhow how probably teaching grandma to suck eggs so will shh now and hope you get to speak to the docs.
xxx

paddington21 · 03/06/2009 09:19

thank you thandeka. my doctor's secretary doesnt know if she is in today... yep seriously! i nearly blew my top!
Feel utterly rubbish and just do not know what to do with myself.

Thandeka · 03/06/2009 09:14

Thandeka is sending paddington a gazillion great big warm hugs.

xxxx

paddington21 · 03/06/2009 08:57

Paddington has just wondered why she didnt marry a nice male fertility consultant... he would know the answers!

paddington21 · 03/06/2009 08:53

chubbymummy I feel for you. I work with babies its awful!

thankeda well I hope you did sleep well as i am not pregnant! The digital test says. Although it hasnt been a full week since i was late... i dont know if this is a good or bad sign. I cried alot already and its not even 9am
Do you think the fact i had af pains and then they went a good sign?

Paddington is feeling utterly rubbish so its tea and chocolate for breakfast while waiting for the doctor to pick the phone up!
