Hey, i remember some of you from the other thread...

Well DH isn't back from Thailand yet, this month is a wasted month, but it has given me my much needed head space Looking forward to next month!

Kay - 16 is very young.

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 15:33

you have absolutely made my day - I just knew it!

barbie1 · 13/04/2009 15:31

hi and welcome katy, can i just ask how do you know if you are having troubles ovulating because at 16 your cycles could still be adjusting....have you had any test yet?

Sabs Thinking of you, hope today isnt too upsetting for you X

GracieGirl · 13/04/2009 14:30

Sabs thinking of you today. x x

kate030284 · 13/04/2009 12:54

congratulations jools thats great news on your bfp.

Joolsiam · 13/04/2009 12:14

Back from the gym (5k run on the cross-trainer and then a Body Combat class - maybe too much, I don't know. I slowed down last time and it still went wrong, so haven't decided what to do yet ...) Sun is trying to come out here

Re scans - I think I'm going to ask for one at around the 7.5 or 8 week mark - reading through my notes from last time, there is a strong likelihood that my bean died at 7 weeks, as I had ten mins of very strong cramps and some brown spotting then. We go on holiday two weeks today and will be exactly 7 weeks when we return, so hopefully that will take my mind off things.

I never "met" my bean last time - had no early scans and the MC happened 2 hours before my dating scan

So, milestones:

1 - pass the suspected MC time - May 3rd
2 - 8 week scan, seeing heartbeat - May 16th
3 - EDD of lost LO - May 29th

Looks like I'll be due Dec 19th, but am not letting myself think farther ahead than May right now

Head still spinning, so I'll go and catch up with everyone elses news now and apologies for being a bit self-centred today .Barbie - am sure you are next Vjay - glad you are feeling better today. I've just realised - I can't diet any more so I'm going to HAVE to eat the chocolate that is calling me from the fridge Xmas Grin

bluesatinsash · 13/04/2009 12:09

Afternoon All and CONGRATULATIONS to you Jools . I know you are terrified but there's nothng you can do, its out of your hands and you've managed the most important thing - getting that ellusive BFP! I'm sending you all the strong and sticky thoughts I can muster...

Mollie - I'm with you on waiting 'til 8 weeks if you can, I thankfully ? didn't ever see a heartbeat with my lost 2 as they were 'gone' by the time of my 8 week scan but the size of them signalled there probably was a heartbeat at one point .

Anyway not dwelling on that today!! .

barbie - phew! re: having BUPA!

Hey Neekoo and Vjay - glad you're feeling brigher today .

DH, DS and me are off out for a lovely drive today so have a nice one everyone!

GracieGirl · 13/04/2009 12:05

Jools that's brilliant news!! We all understand how scared you are, and we're all here to hold your hand. The conception indicators aren't that accurate anyway, it depends how strong your urine was. What's important is that you have a BFP.

Yeah its sunny!!!!! and I'm not at work!!!!!

Neeko · 13/04/2009 11:52

Morning ladies
Congratulations Jools! Sit down, do nothing and rest!(For a day or two)
Barbie at the cost of maternity care over there!
Hi to everyone else. Loving the baby talk!

VJaybigpants · 13/04/2009 10:07

Wow as mollie said, thank goodness for bupa! that's crazy money!!!

barbie1 · 13/04/2009 10:06

your hands wil be full with your own baby mollie! i will make a special trip to introduce our babies though one day....

OP posts:
Molliemooma · 13/04/2009 10:02

Bloody hell Thank goodness for Bupa or you would have been flying home to have the baby - I've got a spare room you could have used then I could kidnap cuddle the baby

barbie1 · 13/04/2009 09:54

thankgod dh has an excellant bupa package which will cover me or else we would be looking at £5000+

OP posts:
VJaybigpants · 13/04/2009 09:41

Can't belive how different it is over there barbie and here was me fuming over the postcode lottery of the scanning procedures where I have to go private for a 20 week scan whereas if I lived ten mile east of here I would get one for free!

mollie good idea waiting till 8 weeks. I resigned myself that I couldn't change whatever was going to happen in the future of this pregnancy so just got on with it, most days I did but I did have some wobbly days too.

barbie1 · 13/04/2009 09:32

mollie yeah i think a storm is coming so loosing the fb chat....we can hold your hands until 8 weeks, not long to wait now, no really it isnt...it will fly by...i think you are right to wait for as long as you can, i wll be following by example when its my time

Over here when you are pregnant and its confirmed by gp you have to buy a maternity package to cover you for the next 9 months, so depending on how much cash you have in your pocket will determine the level of care and the hospital you have your baby in. It also covers a number of scans, the most expensive package means as many scans as you choose.

OP posts:
Molliemooma · 13/04/2009 09:19

Vjay I'm trying to hold out until 8 wks as we lost the last two between 5-7 wks, I found it more heartbreaking seeing a hb at 6+4 and then losing it, so really want to try and wait if I can.
Barbie Thanks for that lovely comment, I so hope you will be joining in with the baby talk very soon. I think we got cut off on FB, still shocked you only get 45 days maternity leave!

VJaybigpants · 13/04/2009 09:00

Awww mollie a tiny wee bean. Have you booked an early scan too? I had scans at 7, 9 and 11 weeks, the 11 week one being my dating scan and the 7 and 9 week one due to spotting. A word of warning to you and annie, my dates were a little out in the early scans but the doc explained that because lo is so small, just moving the mouse to measure it slightly can knock off days even a week, by 11 weeks the dates were spot on.

barbie1 · 13/04/2009 08:58

i lurrrrrrveeee all this baby talk! keep it coming, dont be scared to talk about it just cos some of us arent there yet ok?

OP posts:
VJaybigpants · 13/04/2009 08:57

I know what you mean annie as I said before I still knicker check, it's a habit now, not the greatest habit I know. Not long for your scan, it will be here before you know it xx

Molliemooma · 13/04/2009 08:57

annie I hope the next 2 weeks flyby til your scan
Vjay Only a tiny 4+5 today, so at least it's nearer 5wks than 4

VJaybigpants · 13/04/2009 08:56

mollie how many weeks are you now?

anniecam38 · 13/04/2009 08:55

Im 6+2 today, my EDD is 5th December, im having scan at 8 weeks at EPU, so crossing my fingers tightly and knicker checking constantly at the moment.
