Right here we go again!

So far we have been lucky on this thread so lets stick together for all you oldies! until we all get our precious babies.

Here's to the next chapter in our special journey, onwards and upwards

OP posts:

Hi. It's busy tonight!
Kate I too hope your AF is on her way, but it does sound positive with your hormones. I've stopped hoping for mine after the weekend's events, but you'll all need to pick me up when it turns out that the +ive opk was wrong and AF bites when I least expect it! Does anyone think you can bring about a +ive opk just because you wish hard enough?
Jools glad to hear your news is sinking in. Enjoy the non-diet food and focus on being happy right now and not worrying about what the future will bring.
MLS wahey to the 2ww! Here's hoping we'll both be lucky.
Mermaid lol at your trying to trick him indoors! My DH is a bit wary of all the peeing on sticks and talk of mucus but has managed to rise to the occasion, although if we need to go again next month I don't think he'll be so keen.
Gracie Hope you enjoyed your day off.
Hi to everyone else.

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 20:50

lion you had better make a nice cup of herbal and make yourself comfy! good luck for Wednesday, we will all be thinking of you.xx

LionstarBigPants · 13/04/2009 20:46

Jools your news has made my day . This really is the good luck thread. So, so, so pleased for you and sending many sticky thoughts. What a great Xmas present that will be too.

I can't beleve how many posts on this new thread already, and this is just my first one! So apologies if I'm not responding to everyone as just have skim read. Will go back and catch up now!

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 20:26

jools heartburn is a fab sign.

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 20:22

its a mystery it really is. Men, I can't get my head around them at all! mine has been in total ignorance of my scientifc exploits (cue evil cackle, I went to see Monsters v Aliens)and I never told him it was GO GO GO because I tried the subtle GO GO GO from about the 4th. But he knew, he just bloody knew and as soon as they think they are not in the driving seat - after the novelty has worn off after the first month that is - then its crying under the duvet yesMLS so am there with you so to speak! we are close cycle buddies I got my strong + on the 11th.
kate I am keeping my fingers crossed that your af comes calling really soon, maybe you are feeling down cos she is near?
right off for glass of wine, have found all my christmas pressies which as I was pregnant at the time never drank. I have been like a squirell finding a long lost hoard of nuts

Joolsiam · 13/04/2009 20:17

Mermaid - I went to the gym this morning (still in denial I think !) and will go tomorrow - then I am away for work for 3 days and will tell my gym instructors when I get back - will lay off the ab crunches just in case but apparently as long as they are not uncomfortable, you don't HAVE to stop in the first trimester.

Yes, I have some very nice New Zealand wine that was my Easter treat. I just tried half a glass of my fave wine ever and I just can't drink it - one sip gave me heartburn, so no more vino for me for a while !

Joolsiam · 13/04/2009 20:14

Kate - I had issues with DP not performing I was DESPERATE to TTC asap after the MC, but didn't ovulate till Jan - ended up in floods of tears at my egg being "wasted" and it was a mega ovulation - really painful

In the end, I resolved to give up for a while - just not mention TTC and focus on the weight loss till after Easter - look what happens - DP gets amorous with the slimmer me on CD13, I ov on CD14 and here I am 4 weeks pg, having resolved to wait till after Easter to TTC and decided I would prefer not to have a Christmas baby I'm not going to say relax, but it WILL happen when you least expect it

kate030284 · 13/04/2009 20:10

it wont happen if dp wont perform lol. im going for a fitting tomorrow so we will see if im a fatty lol

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 20:06

I have a friend who makes wedding dresses who is driven to utter despair about 4 weeks before hand when brides eat/starve and loads of alterations have to happen!
Hopefully this horrible cold front will have passed and you will have a lovely sunny day.
Be gentle on yourself, it will all work out for us all

kate030284 · 13/04/2009 19:47

sounds like a good plan mermaid. i fancy chinese lol ive had a really pig out today already.i wont fit in that wedding dress at this rate

i cant wait to be on that thread tho. our day will come please be soon xxxx

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 19:39

jools you have made your body the most welcoming place for a little sticky bean by doing all your exercise and dieting - thankfully we won't have to hear about stomach crunchers anymore enjoy your evening.
kate we should nip round jools and pinch some of that chinese and I reckon she has some wine she can't drink now as well
One day honey we will be on a thread called 'emmsys want a decent night sleep cos the babies are teething/weening/whining/still at the nightclub and we have to pick them up'
hope you feel better after a decent night sleep.x

kate030284 · 13/04/2009 19:29

lets hope so ,i just dont want af on wedding day knowing my luck i prob will.my dp is the same mls he says he cant perfom under pressure or on set days lol

MummyLovesSadie · 13/04/2009 19:24

Christ-on-a-bike (sorry blue) I'm offline for a few hours & there are 40-odd new messages to read through.

Welcome newbies & Scorpio so glad you found us over here.

Jools bloody great news, don't blame you for wanting to keep in on the down-low just now.

Mermaid was having the same trouble as you earlier. Today was my most pivotal day cycle-wise & dh chose it to be 'tired'. Was trying my best to 'wake him up' & ended up sobbing with head under duvet & only 20 mins until Mum & Dad arrived for a couple of days. What a sad & sorry (not to mention desperate) sight. Anyways dh managed to finally muster up the energy & now I'm officially on my 2ww.

Kate waiting for af is such a horrible, long, drawn-out time but I'm sure that in next to no time you'll be peeing on those sticks & bd'ing like mad - hopefully on your honeymoon.

Must go & cook a curry for dh & parents now.

yeah i was work the last 3 nights . thank you mermaid i feel better talking about it on here to you girls that chees me up no end. its knowing that im not alone in how i feel at the mo . like GG said to me it may be PMS i hope

Joolsiam · 13/04/2009 19:11

Mermaid - how dare DP feel less than disposed ! Perhaps you need to go for a spa treatment - polish up those flippers till they gleam You can do it again too - Barbie started this thread and it is working like a lucky charm

It is sinking in now and I am feeling a bit more positive. One week at a time ....

Am enjoying the fact I can't diet any more - DP brought Chinese home and I haven't had chicken satay in over 8 weeks !! Will wash it down with more Easter choc DP isn't saying much - he needs to "process" so I shall leave him to it for a few days.

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 19:07

have you been doing a nasty shift over Easter Kate?
Its early days for us in many ways and sometimes it slaps you round the back of the head. I really dread 'flat' days and send you a big hug and my posh hotel chocolate egg sandwich I had hidden from the ganets who live with me.x

kate030284 · 13/04/2009 19:00

i am very tired and down today so could be that too

kate030284 · 13/04/2009 18:51

lol i forget some time as im so used to txting .

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 18:51

kate I took your typos for tiredness
jools I still am smiling for you honey and you have given me a little glimmer of hope things have been a bit tardy at mermaidHQ this very crucial week and dh decided to be indisposed to my tantalising charms
anyway I can imagine how you are feeling and sending you so many hugs and put your feetups said with strict voice. I hope your dh is ok too.

gonna ave to wach me speling now aint i

Joolsiam · 13/04/2009 18:49

Kate - us crustier older TTC'ers don't understand text speak !!!

kate030284 · 13/04/2009 18:45

sorry i wont do it again

Joolsiam · 13/04/2009 18:44

I think we are showing our age Mermaid I prefer proper sentences and spell checking myself

mermaidspurse · 13/04/2009 18:42

oh god is our thread just going to turn into text talk?
