So far we have been lucky on this thread so lets stick together for all you oldies! until we all get our precious babies.

Here's to the next chapter in our special journey, onwards and upwards

OP posts:
Neeko · 15/04/2009 20:22

Hurrah! You haven't all left me!
MLS That's it! Give me those hpts! You're not getting them back til a week on Saturday
MM Loving the facts of life talk. My gran used to claim the women in our family could get pg without taking their knickers off!! I fell 1st try with DD and MC so hope she's still right.
Barbie ouch at your sunburn! Hope you're slapping the moisturiser on.
Blue Creme egg? - nice! and very thematic considering your newly fertilised one!
Gracie If you have to BD with your eyes closed, just do it and claim it's all in the name of feeling the passion. Good luck!
Bakingqueen Good luck with dissertation. Rather you than me.
Jools lol at the little dance. Enjoy the bridal suite.
Did I miss anyone? Big waves to everyone else.

bakingqueen · 15/04/2009 20:03

Evening ladies. Hoping your all well have resorted to keeping notes to try to catch up with you all.
VJay- hope you sort out all the issues with your ds and his school, poor him
Mermaid= bear with the acupuncture it gets better the more sessions you have. My dh is trained to do it and would use me as his tester when he was learning hated it then but it gets easier or maybe my pain barrier has just gone up!
Lionstar- glad today went well keep your feet up and we will all keep our fingers crossed for your results. Fidget is a fab name!
Barbie- hope you had a good day with your friends. Good on you writing on that girls FB page can't believe she lied about things
Jools- impressed you can get on MN via your blackberry tried it the other day while I was waiting for my car in the garage and my blackberry kept crashing! How doyou manage that?
Neeko- well done compling the list your way more on top of this taht I think I could be
Grace- good luck with the bd on nights. I was on nights when got pregnant in January found when you get home in the morning was the best time for me. Not the most passionate time because of the need for sleep but it did what it needed to!
Sorry anyone I have forgotten am writing this in between trying to write my dissertation for college had since January but since mc really not been motivated. Only motivated now as deadline next wednesday!.
Had a sweet thing happen today though got a letter from my GP saying he was sorry to hear I had mc'd which I thought was a nice thought from him, made me cry however! He did say however that the bloods I had done prior to my ERPC had been sent to him and have to have the clotting studies redone in 4 weeks. Now wondeing could the clotting have contributed to my mc or am I reading too much into this?

bluesatinsash · 15/04/2009 19:55

MLS - step away from the HPTs!!!!

bluesatinsash · 15/04/2009 19:53

Yay! mermaid - glad to hear the acup. sesh went well .

Great news barbie re: MAC follow-up, has your face died down yet? Slap some aloa vera on it .

Hey MM - looks like your enjoying being home and no more nasty toxic work for you!

Hi gracie - good luck for this weekend, as MM says you only need a few minutes .

DH and me are going to enjoy a cosy night on the couch with 2 x cups of tea and 2 x creme eggs. We've not really touched base snce I did the test yesterday morning so will be nice to sit and let it sink in .

MummyLovesSadie · 15/04/2009 19:47

GG I feel your pain with the performance anxiety. When we are ttc we have so many stressful things to think about.... whether or not our dh's are going to be able to deliver their side of the bargain should definitely NOT be one of those things.

Neeko my hpt's are starting to call my name but I'm going to have to wait about 10 days, aarrrgggg. Like you I bd'd loads of times so I don't think I could have done much more this month to sway the balance in my favour.

mermaidspurse · 15/04/2009 19:11

jools if anyone deserves to be on a 4 poster with room service and wifi on such a blinking miserable day its you I'll be back after the x files - me and Mulder have a bit of a thing going on

Joolsiam · 15/04/2009 19:04

Woohoo - they've put me in one of the rooms that has wireless internet - will be back, MNetting from the large 4 poster bed after my dinner

It suddenly dawned on me just now that I am PG - had to jump up and do a little dance round the room

This hotel is fab - makes most of their money from weddings as it is a country house - I'm a regular so always get nice rooms (am in the bridal suite today !!)

mm1509 · 15/04/2009 19:01

Going to make dinner now, we had a late lunch, should be back later on.

mermaidspurse · 15/04/2009 18:55

barbie you have got to go and get some accupuncture, I am so sure it would help.
feel tired umm and very bloody hungry.
see you in a bit, love to all

GracieGirl · 15/04/2009 18:52

I'm sure I can manage two minutes if I put my mind to it!!

mm1509 · 15/04/2009 18:52

jools I hope you are now relaxing and enjoying your glass of J20, now for some jools time, take care.

mm1509 · 15/04/2009 18:49

gracie as my mum told me in my 'facts of life talk' "it only takes two minutes and that's you, pregnant". That was as much as I got btw, I don't know who was more embarrassed. No but I do know how you feel when you work shifts it makes ttc a juggling act between work and RL, just keep having fun.................in between sleeping.

GracieGirl · 15/04/2009 18:29

MM - looking like "I have needs" could be a bit challenging when my greatest need will be sleep! But I will do my best. We managed to get pregnant last time when he was only home for a few hours!

Hi Jools - don't work too hard!

Joolsiam · 15/04/2009 18:13

Fab news Lionstar - Hello Fidget

Will lurk on my Blackberry - "speak" to you tomorrow girls

mm1509 · 15/04/2009 18:09

Hi gracie oh I know exactly how you mean about shift work, it's got a lot to answer for. If it helps each time I tried to work when I would ovulate I was working nightshift for the date, we just waited till i was off shift before BD and I still fell preg each time. I remember at the time thinking maybe next month. Four times this happened and four times bingo, first month trying. We didn't use OPK just me working it out manually so we could have been out by a day or two but you never know. You have it harder the fact that your DH is away, but then again if you only have a two day window that alone might keep him off the scent and stop any anxiety, a woman has her needs you know.

GracieGirl · 15/04/2009 17:31

Hello MM!

I've just done my first opk of the cycle - CD 12 - negative (that's a good thing as DH not home till saturday). I'm on nights over the weekend which should be when I ovulate. DH will be in the house during the bit when I'm asleep but will be out by the time I wake up, so wouldn't normally interact that much (not much spare time round 13 hour nights, travelling each way and sleeping). Just trying to figure out how I'm going to get away with waking up in the middle of my sleep for a quick BD both days without DH getting suspicious, realising its "ovulation day" and getting performance anxiety. If I'm half (more like 90%) asleep and he's got performance anxiety we'll not get anywhere!! Shift work really is a pain in the ar*e!!! If I miss those 2 days he's not home again for another week.

mm1509 · 15/04/2009 17:17

lion so happy today went well for you, love the name fidget, makes me smile as we call dd smidget. Your dd sounds so cute talking about the baby. Take it easy hun.

monkeysbum hello stranger, lovely to hear from you again, sorry to hear you news but you are still here we will all get there! Glad to see you join us again.

neeko very pleased to 'meet' you also, thanks for the thread update, I'm still trying to catch up with all the news I have missed. Preswick's not too far at all, we have a flat we use in Largs so even closer, you've gotta love it at the coast.

barbie my lovely buddy, well done to you with the fb response, sad how some people are, love the barbiemobile btw. Lets hope we can both post our own news on fb in the near future.

blue still smiling every time I think of your news, I know what you mean about going to work with your little secret, kind of exciting really. So happy for you.

mollie hope your GP appointment goes well and you can get your scan sorted out. Good idea not to be scanned before 8 weeks, in my past experiences earlier scans have only gave me more worry. Smart lady.

vjay can't believe you are 21 weeks now, I feel like I have been away forever. Sorry you are feeling down it must be so frustrating about the funding, hope you get it sorted soon. I'm sure the lovely ladies on here can give you a lift when you need it.

sabs sorry to hear about the worries from work, not what you need atm. You are doing the right thing, let HR sort it out and put yourself and your lo first.

mermaid hope the acupuncture went well, I keep hearing good things about it, like blue says keep thinking zen!!!

4ever how are you my lovely, good to hear from you again.

jools hope you are not working too hard, you have the best excuse ever for feet up time!

Big hellos again to MLS, curly, scamper, scorpio, graciegirl and a few more that I haven't had the chance to chat to yet, will rectify that in the very near futute.

Wow forgot how long that takes. Well had a nice afternoon here with DH and DD, went swimming then for lunch together. Must admit enjoying being away from work so much now, only now beginning to realise how toxic it really was in there...................getting out can only be good for ttc again.

barbie1 · 15/04/2009 17:14

yeah mermaid how was the needle therapy? i will start as soon as i sign a work contract, but if you say it hurts im not going to bother!

bluesatinsash · 15/04/2009 16:43

oh lion - your scan sounded such a lovely experience and seeing your little fidget rolling around must have been wonderful. They sounded like they took extra care with the amnio too . Rest up and relax.. Your DD sounds lovely, already nesting on your behalf .

LOL neeko - it goes like that some days, mad 40 postings then a couple of days with hardly anything... You could probably plot it in flow chart type way against barbie's days out at the beach .
