ooh Kate - throw a sweatshirt on and get to the chemist ....

Morning all, this may be disjointed as DS is playing at my feet - they don't call them ankle biters for nothing you know .

Loving the Netty photos barbie - didn't know they did a girlie one! LOL at you wearing your suntan bikini when you were naked - have fun filling in the spaces with your fake tan. I think that's a great plan to put obvious ttc on the back burner and seeing how it goes, you know its a cliche but everyone says its when you stop thinking about it... I'm sure having that week off when I was OVul did it for me this month, I was much more relaxed and just enjoying spending time with DH rather than "you in bed NOW"!

Jools please don't stress yourself out too much re: lack of symptoms. You do have a BFP as well as lack of AF to show for it! I don't have anything either really and didn't with DS until 6 weeks then it was vomit central yet I did with last mc even after the mmc was confirmed (still felt so sick that I couldn't even console myself with glass of wine). To summarise symptoms or lack of can be so misleading so try to ignore them!

Hi curly -lovely to hear from you and thanks for lovely message.

Sorry TEW got you babyinacorner - like your things I can do this month list...

Hey Neeko - school hols nearly over, hope your squeezing every last drop out of them. Are you a primary or secondary teacher? sorry to read you had a bit of a teery night last night, how are you today?

Mermaid - got a wee chilll reading about your acup. and them 'knowing' about your physical and emotional trauma. Hope you reap the benefits.

Hi 4ever - great news about your test results timescale - roll on May (if you can abstain/unroll the condom before then . So got my fingers crossed for you.

Mollie - hope your doing OK, must send you a message on fb so we can exchange how terrified we both are!

Better go DS's patience has ran out - apologies in advance for my spelling!

Will catch up tonight x

4everhopeful · 16/04/2009 10:02

Awwww Hetty & Henry are def coming with me & barbies list & an OPK stick to the toilets this afternoon.. I'm sure my colleagues will be highly disturbed by this image but Emmsys all around the UK and Dubai will be laughing merrily!

OK def time to work!!!!!!!!! Love ya!!!! xxxxxxxxx

Joolsiam · 16/04/2009 09:56

Hehe - no please don't revert, I like silliness

A friend of mine has a cat called Hetty who is terrified of hoovers - must send her that link !!

I know there is nothing I can do - no point even having a scan before 6 weeks, so I do need distraction

Am going away on hols on Mon 27th, back on the Sat - so that should keep me sane (and sober now !) whilst I wait to get to a point where an early scan would see something.

I just need to get really busy at work and keep out and about for the next ten days so I don't start brooding and obsessing.

It is just strange because I just KNEW that something was up, only a very few days after ovulation - was nervous because I thought it might be a CP but was certain that something was happening.

Now, there is nothing - not even hormonal tears at vaguely sad news items ! I seem to be permanently wandering round in a state of mild euphoria and grinning to myself like a loon at "my little secret"

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:54

mermaid i want to live in your house, sounds as mad as me....i went to the beach yesterday with a hello kitty bucket and spade and made sandcastles while the kids looked on

i too have to get somethings done....dh will be home soon and the weekend begins....back soon byeeeeeeee x

mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:51

is there going to be room for 4ever to get in that cubicle with hetty and henry in there?

I have to do some work, just cleared up breakfast things to find that dh and ds put blue food colouring in their porridge this morning. I am living with mad men.

I have this vision of jools dressed up in smart suit juggling her blackberry in a business meeting reading abourt henry and hetty. shall be chuckling all day.

Neeko · 16/04/2009 09:50

We love the silliness. It helps to balance us out and keep us -almost- sane!

Neeko · 16/04/2009 09:48

I have heard that about symptoms too. I think for now you just have to trust in the positive test and relax (yes I know it's not easy)
4ever I have a Henry. Want to borrow him?

SabsBigPants · 16/04/2009 09:47

no barbie stay silly!

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:46

jools are we taking your mind off things yet? i am being rather silly and if you all prefer me to be sensible im sure i can revert back?

OP posts:
barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:45

sadly reserved for hetty

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:43

yes but henry does have a lovely smile

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:41

4ever make sure you print out my step to step guide on how to test, just ignore the hoover bit as you will look very silly taking henry in with you!

jool no idea love, but i think you should step away from the indicator thing because they surely only mess with your head.
You should really feel much symptoms until 6 weeks after conception ie 8 weeks after af, it takes that long for the hormones to rise enough for the changes to take place....we only convince ourself we can feel things to make ourselves feel better (according to lesley regan) hope this helps///

OP posts:
mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:40

jools as you know I usually defer to you on all things scientific - do a test purely to put your poor confudled heart at rest.
Sympton spotting is for all of us the worst bit. Your body is embarking on its second pregnacy so it could well be coping with it very differently this time around.

4everhopeful · 16/04/2009 09:40

LOL barbie thanks for the list hon! Im gonna copy & paste it & print it & take it with me to the loo! Yea weeing on a stick will break up my afternoon!

Yep Neeko as you can tell Im a bit crap at working out levels of things MLS has the white coat! Only realised what an OPK was about 3 weeks ago!

4everhopeful · 16/04/2009 09:35

I feel like a naughty schoolgirl now barbie & mermaid & am quite worried too! Silly me us! Legs are truly crossed now, promise! Thanks for info Jools will get a test at lunch, Neeko I def feel like a naughty schoolgirl thinking of condoms! Oh well only 2-4 days of 'risk' () of conception so will just cross legs! Cant believe Im talking about conception being a 'risk' What a palava this all is eh?!

Mermaid I love that they ask you all those questions and can diagnose anything possibly related, sounds very holistic, I like the idea of that..

We are fine waiting on blood test results, this is screening of DH blood pre transfusion, its the law that anyone who's blood is going to be transplanted (DH white cells injected into me) has to have blood screened for communacable diseases 30 days before transfusion (HIV, hepatitus etc..) Hes a blood donor so we know thats all fine already but the laws the law!

Joolsiam · 16/04/2009 09:35

Quick theory to run by you lot before I really really have to go and do some work !!!

Bearing in mind I was almost 12 weeks when I MMC'ed on Nov 11th and was still getting and extremely faint (squint and hold it to the light and you might just see it) line on Dec 27th ...

Do you think that this could mean my body is still "used to" HCG and is not going to react to the rising levels in the same way ? I am wondering if that will be why I don't have the sore swollen boobs and mild nausea that I had by this stage last time ??

also, first sign last time round was my hair not coming out when brushing / in the shower, but it is still falling out

Think I need to do another conception indicator thingie to convince myself that HCG levels are actually going up !!

mermaidspurse · 16/04/2009 09:34

ok, now I am trying to work out how to hoover the toilet

barbie1 · 16/04/2009 09:34

mermaid psml at needlepoint! how bizzare at the things they want to know? i shall have great fun saying well at first its brown and then red for 1 minute and then brown, then it turns very light brown, darker for an hour, prehapes a little red on day 4 then brown oh then it disappears for a few hours and the back on day 8 for more browny stuff
