Thanks for your messages guys. Sorry not been here, been to a wedding for about 4 days. No action there as we were too drunk but doesn't matter as I can feel the very start of ov today - day 10/11, so thanks for the advice AliBaba, I will try that and let u know!!! Hope we can drink after the heavy weekend we had!!! Fingers crossed. I rang DH and asked if he was tired. He said he wasn't bad today so !!!!!!

I'm still eagerly awaiting signs of ovulation. No mucus to examine but still horrendous headaches - possible Clomid-induced. This is day 10 so I should start to seduce dh now but I feel soo unsexy. Just want to go to bed with some chocolate, none of that funny business thanks.

How's the clomid going now? Are you feeling over the side effects yet? Are you having scans to see if you are ovulating? Or are you taking ov tests?

Bigbird, I'm sorry you got your hopes up and then were disappointed. It just makes it so much worse when you manage to convince yourself it's worked doesn't it?

bunny2, I don't remember hearing about clomid causing weight gain, but I could have missed that.

I had a scan today, and have decided not to go ahead with the iui this month, as I'm ovulating on the wrong side again. I'm getting really fed up with this now.

I'm currently monitoring cervical mucus. Where's the mucus thread?

Quackers, the daftest piece of advice I've been given is to put a bottle of champagne under your pillow on the critical night. Needless to say, I've never tried this, but would be interested to know if it works...

for me this month.
I was away with work and AF started a tiny bit and then stopped for over a day so I was convinced it must be breakthrough bleeding and I was pregnant. Didn't want to test till I got home to DH. It went so far as I was watching what I ate and staying away from certain cheese. But then it started big time. Very dissapointed. Time to get the ov sticks and try again. Good luck everyone.

i bought the ACON tests - really cheap, but they have others, including chemist type tests like clearblue and predictor.

I have the same prob as you and have been ttc for a year, just over. My periods are all over the place, if at all. I went for 4 months without a single one, then they have started coming regular just the last 2 months. you may have pco but i wouldnt think that it will be at all severe, as you have pretty regular is periods, at least you do get them, although sometimes late or early. i think you should start testing with ovulation sticks and start around day 11 of your cycle. keep testing everyday until you get a positive. the only prob is that you may find you have to test for a week or two, and they are expensive at the chemists. I have had some ov tests delivered by post which were really cheap. they are on a website which i shall have to look up for you, but they were great and were delivered within 3 days. the tests are q sensitive however, which dont seem to do the trick for me, as they detect a lower level of LH surge (which is what your body makes just before you ovulate). My doc seems to think that i am not ovulating but producing a little of the LH hormone. the chemist ov tests detect the LH surge when it is high - which is how it goes when you do ovulate, so itmay be wise to get one pack of clearblue tests or suchlike to use as a backup. when you find the cheaper sticks give you a positive, check with the chemist kit, just to check that your surge really is high enough to be a positive. hope this is not too confusing! i tend to rabbit on a bit! Thanks for the advice babyleaf will go back to my doctor and ask her what she advises.Problem is my cycle is so irregular it was bang on 28 days for the 2 months after i came off the pill then it kept getting later and this time its earlier.Ive had a 29 day cycle for a month then a 30 day cycle for a month then it went to 37 days then it went to 42 daysand then this month it was 36 days.
So how will i ever know when the time to concieve is.
