gemstones Oh God, this is real, isn't it? I don't really know what test to buy - does anyone recommend one?

Yes, DP will be there when I test. This is why I've waiting really, so we can test & laugh / cry / faint / be sick / get drunk together (delete as appropriate following result).

alfies sorry, I haven't resorted to ovulation tests so don't have any words of wisdom. If this month doesn't work out for me think I'll need to approach this a bit more methodically!! So when you find out the answer, let me know.

alfiesmadmother · 17/04/2009 13:16

hello!!! Just checking in, have not had access to computer over easter so not had chance to meet many of you here! I am Cd 9 today. I have bought some ovulation tests, on acycle of 28-33 days what day should i start testing?? I only have 7 tests and don't want to run out!!!

gemstones · 17/04/2009 12:27

Laurielou I dont know how the hell you've managed to wait this long!!

Im going to pop down to Sainsbury shortly to get a HPT
What one do you recommend?
Will your DP/DH be there when you test?
ooh how exciting!!

laurielou · 17/04/2009 11:43

gemstones yey! Thank you! Yes, planning to test in the morning. Think I've resisted long enough....

gemstones · 17/04/2009 11:39

Laurielou Ok you've twisted my arm i'll test tomorrow!

The HPT have 2 in dont they? So if I get BFN i can always use the other one a couple of days later.
Was you going to test in the morning Laurielou?

laurielou · 17/04/2009 11:03

stephiepug rubbish!! Sorry to hear that.

gemstones On one hand I'm willing you to wait to test, but on a totally selfish level I'd feel braver if someone was testing with me tomorrow. Albeit in a "virtual" sense!

gemstones · 17/04/2009 10:52

Morning everyone

Stephiepug Sorry to hear AF arrived

Anyone else testing over the wkend?

Im CD25 today, and thinking about getting a test (just to put in the cupboard of course!
Do you think testing tomrrow would still be too early?

stephiepug · 17/04/2009 10:18

AF just arrived, so im now officially
ttc#3 cycle 4 ucl 28 cd1

ccpink · 17/04/2009 08:50

sorry for your news Stephie - maybe it's a sign you can be on the official JANUARY bus.
don't try - nice to know someone else as mad as me.
I'm feeling a bit happier as managed to get bd'ing in last night hopefully after ov! I'm majorly symptom spotting now. Yesterday felt headachey - almost migrainey - and had to go to bed at 8 as felt so tired. Still feel iffy and sickly today. Think body is just torturing me...
Have a good day.
Very proud of you Laurie - desperate to know!

laurielou · 17/04/2009 08:29

stephie if I had a brain I'd be dangerous! Just realised your AF hasn't arrived yet. I'm sorry , can I blame extreme tiredness & brain not being fully functional at this hour?

laurielou · 17/04/2009 08:26

higglepig - sorry, just caught up on yesterday's thread. Sorry you got a BFN , but as you said at least you know.

Please try not to worry about it happening, I have a good feeling about the passengers on this bus.

They do say good things come to those who wait............

laurielou · 17/04/2009 08:21

Morning ladies,

stephie sorry your AF arrived, but glad you're remaining positive.

I still haven't tested! I hope you're all proud of me (if thinking I'm ever so slightly bonkers).

Just calculated if I'm pg - due date would be 22 Dec. Oh, please don't make me get off the bus, I like this route. Maybe if I keep my legs crossed I'll make it to Jan 2010. Oh, but late for that . (Keeping legs crossed was the advice FIL gave to MIL when DP was making his appearance a month early. They are no longer together!)

Hark at me, don't even know if I am pg yet. Tomorrow's test day.............

stephiepug · 17/04/2009 06:27

oh well, i was up early and i tested, today AF is due, and got a BFN, never mind!
I would have had to get off this bus if i was my due date would of been 25th december so looking on the bright side, at least i can chill out over christmas because january is the month for me lol,
Keepin my fingers crossed for everybody else, i hope its lots of BFP!!!! x

Chalkpink · 16/04/2009 20:05

Just checking in to catch up. No news here - am still only cd4 - but wanted to add my congrats to Effie! The first of many bfps on this thread hopefully.
And good luck to everyone else! Don't anyone lose hope just yet.

donttrythisathome · 16/04/2009 17:23

CC totally get where you're coming from. I was like a possessed demon last week when oving and DP ho-humming about BDing!

Now can anyone help. I am a MN addict!

donttrythisathome · 16/04/2009 16:15

Schlumpf - we are the Dairy Queens.
I've mad cravings for natural yoghurt...

Bettymum · 16/04/2009 15:47

lol at Schlumpf, my DH reckoned I smelled different when I was PG before. Don't know if I smelled of cream cheese though .

ccpink · 16/04/2009 15:44

thanks sean'smum - I know I am being totally irrational. I had a go at dh for never wanting to bd and when he said it had only been 3 days I felt a bit silly. 3 days seems like a lifetime though in my crazy mind!

ccpink · 16/04/2009 15:42

sorry for double post - wanted to add a note to laurielee!!!

seanybosmummy · 16/04/2009 15:41

keep your chin up cc

ccpink · 16/04/2009 15:41

Blocka & Stephiepug - I'm keeping fingers crossed for you both
Schlumpf - same for you - sounds promising
Higglepig - so sorry for you. I'm sure I'll be going to the February stop with you.
Effie Congrats, amazing news
Bettymum - I've missed a few key nights now with a tired husband and last night with a crying toddler. Hope I can get some action tonight too
tetleytea - my toddler was a clomid conception and despite the gyny telling me initially it was twins there was defo just one!
laurie - how you are resisting is totally beyond me
Really feel like I missed ringing the bell for me to get off at January - sure I'll cheer up soon!

seanybosmummy · 16/04/2009 15:40

Have you any idea what cd your on? I think maybe you should test just incase

Oh my, have been feeling nauseous all day...
Then DH says, "do you really think we should go for another one...?" Ha,ha,ha!

Well, it might just be a fluke, I haven't had any other symptoms (unless you count a few days of smelling like cream cheese... is that a common sign?)and haven't taken a test yet.

EffieGadsby · 16/04/2009 11:52

Many thanks to all of you for your congratulations and kind words. I really hope there will be happy results for all of you terribly soon.

I took a second test this morning, which was positive too, but am still finding it all very difficult to get my head around. I've booked an appointment with my GP for tomorrow morning, which will make me feel settled, so I know I'm not some aberration, producing false positive results.

It would probably be sensible for me to step away from the Internet for the rest of the day now, or I'll drive myself nuts browsing all sorts of unhelpful pregnancy-related things, but I will report back here after the session with the doctor tomorrow. Gosh, what a strange 12 hours it's been.
