donttrythisathome · 17/04/2009 19:50

Goof luck all the testers. Can't wait to hear back! xx

katlokna · 17/04/2009 19:41

Hi ladies.

First of all congratulations EffieGadsby . Hope the news has sunk in a bit now. If it makes you feel any better about not wanting to throw the test(s) away, I still have pictures of my BFP tests from when I was pg with DS.

I would like to say that I agree with EffieGadsby re superdrug tests. They seem very good. 3 minute wait time (from memory!), but according to the leaflet they can detect from 10miul HCG. Bearing in mind the more expensive First response and Clearblue say they detect from 25miul HCG.

Good luck for tomorrow laurielou and gemstones. I'l be waiting to hear your results and hope they are good.

Sorry to hear about your AF Stephiepug. Here's hoping for good news this time.

Higglepig · 17/04/2009 16:25

Hey laurielou and gemstones - very best of luck for tomorrow - look forward to hearing your news.

Sorry about your news Stephiepug - next month is bound to be the one

sazlocks · 17/04/2009 16:22

I'm testing this weekend. Still bouts of nausea, cramping and extreme sense of smell but if I was pregnant every time I ever thought I was pregnant then I would have heaps and heaps and heaps of kids by now
Good luck to all the other testers this weekend and to everyone else

laurielou · 17/04/2009 16:02

bringonthetrumpets the more the merrier! I'm feeling stronger by the minute.

I'm going to be going off line shortly. Don't usually go on t'interweb much on weekends, but will keep you posted fro tomorrow.

Whatever the outcome thank you heaps for the support & sorry if I've driven you mad, xx

NewMember · 17/04/2009 16:00

LOL I am terrible trying to work out the codes ppl are using! Can someone give me the low down on the codes! Sorry - hehe!

Bettymum · 17/04/2009 15:59

Fingers crossed for all the testers tomorrow, let's hope for BFPs for everyone

bringonthetrumpets · 17/04/2009 15:52

i still haven't gotten af...mind if i join in the big test-off tomorrow? pretty certain it'll be a bfn but couldn't resist the peer pressure since everyone is doing it tomorrow!

here's to wasting more 10 pounds on hpt!

laurielou · 17/04/2009 15:35

schlumpf I know exactly what you mean. But why don't you join gemstones & I testing tomorrow morning?

Schlumpf · 17/04/2009 15:20

Hmm, still feeling nauseous today and no sign of AF, I think she was due to arrive around now.. maybe it's time to go testing, but I kind of like the frissance of not knowing for sure

EffieGadsby · 17/04/2009 14:55

Laurielou & Gemstones, I love the idea that you'll be testing together! Good luck to both of you, and hopefully you'll have some happy news to kick the weekend off.

About what test to use: I feel like a bit of a skinflint - because I was so sure I hadn't conceived, I just told DP to nip to Superdrug and get whatever was cheapest , so he bought a two pack of their own brand. It's funny, that even though they worked fine, and were really easy to use and read, I sort of feel that if I'd really believed there might have been a BFP, I'd have gone for a branded First Response or Clear Blue test. Which is ridiculous, as they must all be pretty much the same. Anyway, I like my cheapo Superdrug tests; I am very attached to them, and cannot bring myself to throw them away (and I'm trying not to think about them being soaked in what will now be stale wee).

laurielou · 17/04/2009 14:07

Clearblue it is then, thanks josie

Josie22 · 17/04/2009 13:55

Alfies - if you go to this link:
www.clearblue.info/uk/when-to-start-testing.php
then it will work it out for you - presume it doesn't matter if you have different type of test kit - I have just got the kit the link relates to and it has seven test sticks too so can't be that different to yours.

Laurielie and Gemstones - got fingers well and truly crossed for you both - I would go for a clearblue one as they seem easiest to read (though they are more expensive). Avoid Sainsbury's own brands - have heard they never seem to even work!!!

Am waiting patiently for AF to clear off so I can start trying again. Feeling positive this month. Baby dust to all

laurielou · 17/04/2009 13:48

thanks bringonthetrumpets

Excuse the grammar in my post - "why I've waiting to test"???? In my defence I think I have an acceptable excuse.

bringonthetrumpets · 17/04/2009 13:42

really cheering for your BFP laurielou !!
