Hi everyone. Sorry to hear about all the recent BFN's. Its always the same I find. AF holds off until you have done that HPT then comes to make you even more annoyed.

Higglepig
I am using a clearblue fertility monitor (for the 1st time this month), you can set it up to day 4 or 5 of your cycle. Its important when you set it though because when you test, you have to use FMU. So if you normally get up at 7am. You need to set it at 7am. It has a testing window of 3 hours either way of the setting time so in this example if af arrives after testing window for CD1 then you set it at CD1 the next morning IYSWIM.

Blocka · 19/04/2009 14:32

Well girls, looks like I'm out

I was really, really convinced I was pregnant. Spotting 7 days after ovulation that I thought was implantation, feeling sick and my sense of smell has gone crazy - everything smells really really strong.

Did a test this morning and BFN. Then, just to twist the knife in, looks like AF going to arrive today - a day early. Spotting like mad.

Am gutted to be honest.

Sorry for all other BFNs too!

Higglepig · 19/04/2009 13:38

Hello ladies,

Just checking in to see how you're getting on. REally sorry about the BFNs. Laurielou must have been v tough meeting your preg friend. Hope you've done something nice today to cheer yourself up.

AF arrived yesterday but not before I'd convinced myself on Friday that weird (sorry tmi) coloured CM was implantation bleed and I might have tested too early... Anyway, now conclusively not pregnant (!), on CD2 and trying to feel positive about this month.

Does anyone know whether you can start using the clearblue fertility monitors once your cycle's begun or do you have to start on CD1?

stephiepug · 19/04/2009 10:44

oh girls, im so sorry about the BFN i know its a horrible feeling, it put a bad spin on my weekend,

im on cycle day 3 three now and im getting more positive that once AF over, next week and wk after is BD time so i can keep busy lol,
i ovulate thur 30th i know when i ovulate as ive been tracking my temps and CM,
Girls im sending out Positive vibes and good luck to anybody else testing over the next couple of days!

donttrythisathome · 19/04/2009 10:22

Laurie please don't feel like you're a fool! You had symptoms and no AF so what were you supposed to think hon?!

Must have been torture meeting that friend

Welcome all the newbies - the more the merrier on this rollercoaster of emotions.

islegrin · 19/04/2009 03:07

Laurielou BFN's blow! I'm so sorry to hear about that, I was hoping you'd be another graduate. Keep that cap & gown, you will be using it soon enough.

Your DH sounds so sweet - good for both of you, hug each other tight over the next few days of deep disappointment. By the time AF comes, you can look with some hope to the next cycle. Can't give up! (but we all need to indulge in self pity for a moment or two, every now and then... very understandable to feel completely deflated.)

laurielou · 18/04/2009 22:58

Jeez, sorry for the spelling!

laurielou · 18/04/2009 22:57

Thank you everyone for your kind words, sorry my previous message was so short.

I just feel so miserable & such a fool. I really thought this was our month. DP was really excited last night, silly things like he bought some lovely food for us last night saying "you may be pregnant in the morning, this could be the last time just us 2" I did explain if I was pregnant in the morning I was pg then too, but I understoon what he meant.

I have had irregular AF before, but seemed to have settled down.

Test did say to test again if no AF in 3 days. So will do that again Tues if nothing before then. The yes, donttry a trip to the GP for me.

After the huge disappointment of the BFN I had to meet a heavily pg friend for lunch. No-one knows we're TTC so she was "trying to persaude me & DP". I love her dearly & I'm truley happy for her, but now I'm feeling wobbly...........

If you're stll reading this, you deserve some brownie points! I'm just indulging in a bit of self pity.

Should be grateful for what I have & roll on the next month. Once my damned AF arrives....

ARGH!!

Big Hug Laurie.

Welcome newbies.

Katnkittens · 18/04/2009 19:30

Hi can I join you? I'm usually on the TTC4 bus but nice to on here too
I'm 29, have 3 DCs DS is almost 13 (eek), DD1 is 10, DD2 is 5. Had no probs with them but had a mc in Dec and then another one the following month both at around 5 weeks. My HCG levels came down verryyy slowly and its taken until now to have a proper cycle.

Ironically this may be my 1st and last cycle as we're considering giving it a break for various reasons (I'd love it to work this time though)

Sorry to those with BFNs

hi TickysMum. I'm nearly 1 week through the 2ww and if everything goes well my EDD would be 04/01/10 (although would be a great start to 2010 if 3 days earlier!), so by that I think your date would be between 20th-30th Jan. HTH

Schlumpf · 18/04/2009 11:18

sorry to hear about your BFNs . Big hugs!

Here's the news from me: I found an ancient test in my cupboard last night (expiry date 11/06!) so I tried that this morning - yes, yes, yes - I know it's mad

The line for 'this test is working ok' was showing as clear as you could get, the one for 'you are pregnant' was as faint as you could possibly get......

Went to buy a new test but I think I'll wait till tomorrow before re-testing, so the jury's still out here.

Hey girls, been following all the drama unfolding on this thread for days - but not able to take part as I haven't even ovulated yet. (As I'm taking fertility drugs I'm being scanned every other day and the clinic think I might ovulate next week - or maybe the one after [sigh}). So d'you reckon I'm too late for a Jan baby? What's the rough cut off? Anyone done the maths? Anyone else on the bus out there still waiting to ovulate..?!
