anyone had neg hpt after 2 missed periods but was pregnant?????

hi, any advice would be great. ive missed 2 periods now, got some pregnancy symptoms (but is it all in my head- even the cheese and onion sandwich with SUGAR!)but taken hpts 4 days late, 12 days late and 4 weeks late but still neg.

my friend scared me and said could it be ectopic but ive googled it and it doesnt sound like it, no pain anywhere. just feel pregnant????

want to know if anyone has had anything similar and what was the outcome?

if i was pregnant id be nearly 9weeks so surely id have enough pregnancy hormone to turn a test positive. am really baffled, and worried case its sumin else!

i'm not pregnant

had scan yesterday and was told everything is ok, perfect ovaries and nice size uterus. dont know what to do now, guess i just wait for a period!

am glad nothing is wrong but if there was id at least know what was making me miss periods and have pregnancy symptoms- aghhhh its sooooo annoying and confusing!!

thought i would just update everyone who gave me advice, thank you to you all

Just saw your post, confusedgirl. Sorry about the way you are feeling. Can you speak to your GP about the effects of PCOS? It sounds as though it hasn't been explained to you very well. If you still feel pg when you go to see him/her, ask for a blood test (beta hCG). Even with mild PCOS, hCG may not be picked up by HPTs, but a blood test for it 'should' indicate even minute levels.

There is also a lot of support on the web for people with PCOS. www.verity-pcos.org.uk should probably be one of your first ports of call, but there is also loads of information on mumsnet.

When my PCOS was diagnosed, the bloods didn't actually indicate it, only the u/s scan (and my physique, etc)

hiya all ive missed my period now twice n it is really doin my head in i nvr miss 1 last time i was pregnant it came up straight away that i was pregnant but sadly miscarried and wen i had my scan they told me i had mild pcos. this time ive done a few well alot of test n all coming up neg my bellys looks like its gettin bigger fellin sick at nite getin my period pains but no period sore boobs all the signs of being pregnant i was on the pill injection 1st 3 months were great no period then went 4 my 2nd n started bleedin all way through so my 3rd 1 i decided not 2 have but i had a real period wen i stoped it, i just dont no wots goin on wiv my body

hi my dr said it would show up in the blood tests ive had if it was cysts. and it all came back normal so guessing not. i just need to be patient and wait for next tues!

Have you been tested for PCOS? I've posted another thread in 'conception' about PCOS affecting hCG levels (the hormone that pregnancy tests look for). It might be another avenue to look down.

Hi, im two weeks late for my period when i was one day late i took a test and it said negative then a week later i took another in the afternoon and it was very very faint but it said i was pregnant! well about 2 days later i took a test in the morning and it said i wasent !! so i waited and now im 2 weeks late and i took a test today and it said i wasent!! Ive got one child so i know how it feels etc x ive felt sick and been sick once! and been feeling sick in mornings and had horrible back pains x Im really confused can anyone give me any advice??

ive been told its def not ectopic so im not worrying its that. got scan 5th may so il find out then. will all update you then!

Go to a hospital,if the discharge is prune colour or you get shoulder-tip pain. These are signs of an ectopic pregnancy.

i only had white lumps in it first thing in morn and ever since ive just had quite heavy brown blood. am going to call dr tomorrow to see if he can bring scan forward.

yeah think i will book another drs app. tell him about it. maybe it will speed up scan too. dont think i could handle waiting 2-3 weeks for one!

i got 'period pains' and dark brown discharge now. no red in it at all, isnt this old blood?

That sounds very weird, if you were my sister I'd be telling you to go back to the doctor.
How are the other symptoms? Do you still have the pelvic pain and the nausea?

i had my AF this morning, well i think it is. its red with a brown tinge and is watery. it def isnt a normal one! (TMI coming up!) it also had white small lumps in it??? still got brownish, thin blood now, any ideas?

Let us know what happens, what a nightmare for you. I have fibroids and it is honestly OK, I have conceived three times with them.

rainbowdays i read about fibroids giving you heavier periods too, wonder why doc mentioned them then if she knew i hadnt come on for 3 months?

i assume she looked at my cervix as been as she was up there anyway lol.

well the scan will reveal all so will just have to wait for that. cant see what else i can do

No1childminder - poor you, you are no further forward in finding out. Don't worry about the fibroids thing, you must have googled the wrong sort of websites, as fibroids do by no means automatically mean hysterectomy. Also I find this would be more unlikely than pregnancy as it usually is linked with heavier more frequent periods rather than absent ones!!! I hope that the scan appointment comes soon for you.

I don't want to keep false hopes alive, but it is still possible that you are pregnant despite the negative tests. Did they not do a visual look at the cervix? This would be the way they would diagnose pregnancy in the old days, and it was how my mum was diagnosed when her pregnancy tests were all negative while pregnant!

hi i went to a&e last nite again as i had another dizzy spell and thought it was best to see someone. they done the same blood tests ive had twice before and, yet again, everythings fine. told them i could have told them that! they were going to send me home so i put my foot down (HARD!) and demanded a scan or an internal. she said they cant do scans in evenings or weekends so she done an internal. after it she said im glad i done that as your uterus is hard. she said theres a number of reasons that cause this. pregnancy is one but she said im def not as bloods came back neg again. it also could be fibroids so i googled it and hysterectomy kept coming up so now im worried! i know i should wait for scan (should be within nxt couple weeks) but im fearing the worse

I got sensitive nipples at 5 weeks and had a dizzy spell or two before I even tested. Poor you, must be awful to be in limbo.

more things are starting to happen to me, aghhh! ive got really sensitive nipples, noticed last nite wen took bra off and pyjama top rubbing against made them really hurt! i also had a dizzy spell today, quite a big one, had to sit down with my head between my legs until it went away. i did have a dizzy spell about a month ago too, and i lost my balance for no reason at all, weird.

with the sensitive nipple thing can it start at 12weeks or does it come before? and could dizzy spells be linked too? i didnt tell doc bout last dizzy spell as having this one today only reminded me.
