Hi Flumpette - glad you are sounding a bit more postive. And like me are grateful for what you have - I woudl LOVE another but am so grateful not to feel that horrible empty childless feeling.
I am Irish but my OH is English and we move around a lot. Son was conceived through IVF carried out in Bangkok whilst we were living in Vietnam, we then moved to Bulgaria when he was born and moved to Budapest last year.
Saw fertility guy last week and he sounded very positive. Our problem is time. Either I am not here when I get my period or if I do I know that I will be travelling somewhere for the next one. I go home to Dublin regularly. May have to stay put for a while!
The reason we initially looked into IVF was that OH is impotent but then when they tested sperm it was ICSI or nothing. But Bangkok was easy - you just paid your money and it happened. It is a bit more regulated here and it turns out that OH has to see an urologist who will check the findings and then recommend whether or not we should hav IVF. So - slighly worried that urologist will try to solve problem - would love it solved obviously but just want a baby first. Other issue is actually getting OH there in the first place!
And timing is an issue as I am due mid MAy but DS due operationon undescended testicle in Dublin on 1 June - so timing won't work. Then friends arriving mid June for 3 weeks. Another trip planned for end July. Doc away end August. So it looks like it may be September. Unless period arrives early.
Sorry this is such a long post. Hopefully it gave you something to think about though!
Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Fi x
PS DS was at doc with me last week and doc asked him if he would like a brother or sister - DS said he would like 2 older brothers and 1 younger sister!!!! Doc said he may struggle to get that!
