i think back to the 2 weeks before i know i was pg with ds and i

  • got so drunk that a taxi driver threatened to throw us out of the cab because we were singing.

  • climbed onto the roof at work in torrential rain to unblock the guttering because the kitchen was flooding

  • drank 2 bottles of wine with lilsis and fell over trying to switch the security light on

  • got so stoned that i had to be put to bed

smoked a lot* of cigarettes and drank every night with the chefs after work

  • lived on as little food as possible and lots of strong coffee (was restaurant manager) working up to 18hrs per day.

and now i try to be the purest of the pure to concieve another dc. does it really make any difference?

Sorry flower

I was generalising

OracleInaCoracle · 14/03/2009 15:07

stercus, unfortunately i dont think it is stress that is affecting my chances. have had 8 mc's, 1 ep (during which i lost a tube and nearly died) and have been ttc for 3y now.

You will probably find as soon as you stop worrying about it it will happen IMO

Stress is not conductive to TTC

The body feels under stress and thinks 'Whats the point in stressing myself out further by conceiving and carrying a baby'

And being able to tell which side i ov'd from? there was a time when i barely knew anything about my cycle at all, let alone what each stage/twinge could mean!

exactly, my lifestyle when ds was conceived was not really conducive to ttc. it was actually pretty debauched. and yes i gave smoking/drinking/drugs/climbing on roofs as soon as i found out i was up the stick, but it didnt do any harm. but i know that if i were to get pg and mc again having shifted my life back round to a toned down version (smoking the odd ciggie, drinking in the 2ww, eating pate/brie) i would blame myself. its lose/lose!

I curse the day I heard about the 2ww I used to wait patiently for my AF and cheer for its appearance now I count everyday of my cycle, I see it now as counting my life away tbh.

Pass to grape juice I need a drink!

Stick arse in the air? another thing to add to my list of things I must do. It is almost as ling as the list of what not to do

I agree pure is just not easy and appears in my case as well as yours to achieve nothing anyway!

OracleInaCoracle · 14/03/2009 14:32

lol, pre-ds i didnt take anything. didnt stick my arse in the air after sex and didnt have a clue about my cycle!
