i think back to the 2 weeks before i know i was pg with ds and i

  • got so drunk that a taxi driver threatened to throw us out of the cab because we were singing.

  • climbed onto the roof at work in torrential rain to unblock the guttering because the kitchen was flooding

  • drank 2 bottles of wine with lilsis and fell over trying to switch the security light on

  • got so stoned that i had to be put to bed

smoked a lot* of cigarettes and drank every night with the chefs after work

  • lived on as little food as possible and lots of strong coffee (was restaurant manager) working up to 18hrs per day.

and now i try to be the purest of the pure to concieve another dc. does it really make any difference?

Sounds like some of the doctors I've met Lissie .

Good luck with the appointment beanyb. I'm getting my bloodtest results from the mc clinic this week.

And I've sent the day digging in the garden, I've got a glass of wine as I type, I'm 6dpo and I don't care !

OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 11:08

i know, the docs around here are terrible at this type of thing.

beanieb · 15/03/2009 11:06

omg! that's awful Lissie!

OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 10:44

well thats good news at least. i remember when i had my hsg the doc was trying to force the ink through a "blocked tube", i told him it was hurting and he said "this left tube is blocked and i cant shift it", me: "there is no fecking tube on my left side. it was removed in feb 2007. do you not read notes you stinky psycho"

OP posts:
beanieb · 15/03/2009 10:32

not completely, though they did say that my tubes looked clear and fine. I have to wait for them to do the report and then discuss it all with the IVF people but as it stands they seem to think I'm ok, not blocked at least.

OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 10:26

i just dont know how (when ds was such a surprise) ttc has become so technical. had every test known to woman and still they are baffled.

beanie, did you get results there and then?

deany, thats good. do you have an appointment yet?

I had an enforced month off this month because I was told not to have sex as my HSG was going to be done late in my cycle. I hated the idea at first but it was actually quite good not having that wait and not remembering what day my period started and is due to start again!

Now am just waiting for period to turn up and it's all hands to the pump again!

Deany - it's crap isn't it, waiting do long and nothing happening. Good luck with the Gynae.

deanychip · 15/03/2009 10:05

I KNOW!
But then i have a niggling, a big niggling feeling and i just cant give up yet.

We have had a month off, becasue we needed it.
2 years of hoping, and all that effort.

seeing gynae man soon,. then with his advice, we will start agin next month.

beanieb · 15/03/2009 09:43

lol - I hate that 'relax and it will happen' thing. There always seems to be an assumption that someone who has been trying for 2 years or more is just not relaxing enough!

I also wonder how long I will have to shove vitamins in my mouth!

OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 09:39

funtime, sounds like youve been through the mill. i think theres a point where you have to say "ive done everything, cross my fingers and hope for the best"

Lissielou, I've also stopped 'being good' this month and already feel a whole lot better. Been ttc#2 for 18months, with 3 mcs (and 1 ep before ds) and I'm sick of taking folic acid, being afraid to have a drink after ov., being afraid to overdo it digging on the allotment, afraid of doing anything really. I've even been taking low-dose aspirin, but it's giving me heartburn and I just can't be arsed anymore .

I think it's all crap and I'm going to be as debauched as it's possible to be with a toddler in tow and to hell with it !

OracleInaCoracle · 14/03/2009 17:16

nowt in zita wests book about that though.

Ive also wondered about becoming a drug addict as they seem to be pretty fertile.

OracleInaCoracle · 14/03/2009 16:57

Lissie - yes sod it thats what i say it is the best was to be.

if its going to happen it will happen no matter what we all do i realy believe that.

You know what my friend fell pg and was realy worried as she had gone to disney land and been on all th rides and when she told the doc he said it had probably helped tit all get in place and inbed so there. Lots of drink, chocolate and rollercoaster rides he he

OracleInaCoracle · 14/03/2009 16:42

lolol, have decided that i shall have a beer tonight. fecking 2ww is sooo stressful. have a hint of period cramps, so sod it!

stercus, its all good exercise y'know!!

OP posts:
ray81 · 14/03/2009 16:04

I would have to agree with you all although am trying to be positive but i try to be as healthy as i can and its still 5yrs and 3mcs later and nothing.

When i fell with DD i was drinking heavily, smoking heavily and {whispers} doing drugs and not soft stuff either and didnt even think about my cycle or the 2ww. When i fell with DD i was 20 and still thought that you could get pg every time you had sex, i wish i still thought that way i would be so much more relaxed.

right i'm going to have a glass of wine and some chocolate and sod the fact i am on the 2ww.

no probs, for a lot of women stress can be a factor, its just once it gets to a certain point it is less likely to be stress-related and more likely to be a physical problem.
