Hi everyone! Hubby and I are desperately broody and have been for a few years. We're hoping to TTC later this year, we're having to wait til Hubby finishes his degree as we just can't afford to have a baby whilst he's a student. Am wanting to come off the pill round about May, and hopefully TTC about Nov/Dec. Want to come off the pill a few months early as I've been on it for over 14 yrs, and would like to know what its like to have normal periods!

Be nice to know if anyone else is in a similar situation.

hi, I'm still here, but because I'm not actually doing much about TTC haven't got much to post. I have started keeping a record of my temperatures though, hoping that by the time we start TTC I'll have an idea about when I ovulate. Also makes me feel like I am actually doing something. Am reading up on it and doing FF, it is fascinating stuff. (To me, anyway. DH? Not so fascinated tbh.)

Hobnob: sorry to hear things are on hold for a bit longer. It's so frustrating not just to be able to start. But the months will go quicker than we expect - after all, this thread started in Feb and now it's September!

Bebejones: looks like we'll be TTCing at the same time too, I think we are also going to start in the New Year - Sept 2010 would be nice...

bebejones · 12/09/2009 08:05

Glad I am not alone!

Honey - We are waiting to the New Year to start. For many many reasons! But if not pg in first 2 cycles I have to 'wait' until May to avoid very full months (birthdays/anniversarys/events etc).

Hobnob - sorry your plans have been delayed! You never know we may end up on the same bus together!! Hang in there!!!!

Hobnob76 · 11/09/2009 21:35

I'm still here and might be here longer than I planned as Hubby isn't sure whether he'll be finishing uni in Feb or May now. So that might mean putting TTC plans on hold

Im still here...kind of! Does it count that IF we finally decide to go for it, next year would be the best time to try?

Lame, I know.

Anyway, hope this helps reduce the echos. I normally just read, rather than post.

bebejones · 11/09/2009 19:12

Gone all quiet again, think so many people have graduated!! IS there anyone out there still waiting to TTC? >

hefner · 08/09/2009 20:38

Congratulations Kaylo!

Kaylo · 08/09/2009 17:27

THANKS EVERYBODY!!!

It's still sinking in - I've done another ClearBlue today - (just to make sure) and there it was again - "Pregnant 1-2"

I smile everytime I see it.

queenrollo · 07/09/2009 11:12

YAY! for Kaylo.....fab news!

we've been invited to a wedding next August.....so now i'm thinking oh christ! how am i going to cope with that if i'm heavily pregnant. Last time i could barely walk. It's not local and will involve camping. Think we may have to have a back up plan of B&B or hotel if i do get pregnant.

MrsPigeon · 07/09/2009 08:34

Oh my goodness Kaylo! congratulations! Hurray for you!!!

Kayzr · 07/09/2009 07:46

OMG!!!!! I have been lurking as we decided to wait until next year!!

KAYLO!!! Congratulations!!!!!

Kaylo · 07/09/2009 07:43

Blimey you guys are quiet these days....

Hope you're all well!!!

Kaylo · 06/09/2009 06:39

BFP

Goodness me!!!

Tested this morning (at 5:30am as I woke up with period style cramps) CB conception indicator told me it's a BFP 1-2wks.

Still a bit disbelieving as was only my first cycle of TTC#3. I keep checking the test making sure I haven't misread it!!

hello everyone.

i've been absent too, house-moving and holidays has meant that i've just been very busy.
I went to the GP today for a repeat on my pill and now have my last 4 months worth which will take me into the New Year and then we'll see what happens.

MrsPigeon · 03/09/2009 09:24

Hi all and welcome to new people! Sorry for long silence from me too, not much to update on. Getting used to having a looooong cycle - 35 days this time and counting! Hope you are all well. Good luck with the testing Kaylo, fingers crossed for you!

Kaylo · 02/09/2009 16:15

Hello Everyone!!!!!

I'm sorry if you thought I'd abandoned you all but my laptop decided it was time to melt the wires and we're still waiting for a replacement 3 weeks(ish) later. Just signing on from work now in a rare moment of availability.

How are you all? Who has graduated from this thread now? I know I'm not waiting to TTC anymore but I love this thread
I'm on the 2ww - testing on the 10th September so will let you all know how I get on.

I don't have time to read through all that I've missed at the moment but as soon as my laptop is my friend again I will and will aslo update you all as to whats been happening in Kaylo-land while I've been gone.

Take Care everyone - I've missed you all!!!! (like literally pining for MN!!!)

Hi Can I join in?

Dp is insisting we wait until we get married so just 8 weeks to go!
It seems such a long wait after being broody since I had dd2 who is now almost 8 (been divorced in the meantime!)

CurlyCasper · 27/08/2009 20:04

Thanks hobs and hi bebe still watching the thread, despite not waiting anymore. Really is quiet - but then, I was one of the gobby ones...

bebejones · 27/08/2009 18:12

(wave back at Pigley and good luck again!!)
Hope everyone TTCing is lucky this month!

Hobnob76 · 24/08/2009 23:26

Hollyoaks- Well depending how quickly i fall preg but DD will be around 2yrs old.

Sometimes i think im mad to have another so soon!

I think its becaus she has grown up so quickly that I miss the little baby stage. DD has been walking for almost 2 mths now and says alot of words for her age. She says her name, mummy, daddy, teddy, ball, Digger, car, picture, baby, bubba, dirty, Ta, mmmm ( for nice dinner!).
Her understanding is amazing! She very independant so already feels so much more grown up.

Im sure it will be tough to start with with 2 but be nice for them to be close in age and play together. Plus as DH says.. Gets the baby stuff (ie sleepless nights) over and done with!

Hollyoaks · 24/08/2009 11:12

pigley just wondering what your age gap will be between your 1st and 2nd dc. My dd is 19mo and sometimes think shes still a baby and other times look and shes suddenly so grown up.

pigleychez · 24/08/2009 09:07

Thanks for the good luck messages

hollyoaks- DD is 13mths old today! Its gone so quickly!

Curly- Ive not offically joined ie added my stats and all that, but think ill make more of an effort to post more more regularly.

With DD I was on the TTC threads regilously but obviously with her i dont have as much time. Its amazing how quickly you forget all the TTC stuff second time round. Ive found myself researching to refresh my memory!

Good luck to everyone when your time comes!
