Morning MrsMc82 - don't do it! It's way too early and you'll likely be disappointed and if you are, you probably won't believe the result because it's too early, and then will be tempted to test again - vicious cycle and huge waste of money.

IAATCEY How crap. You must be feeling horrible. I'm around a bit today if you need to vent.

Nunnie AF is due on Friday and I'm pretty sure it's on its way... will keep you posted. Bonking madness sounds good , I think I may have to try that trick next month

Liskey I think you probably got the same as me then... I've stuffed the pg tests at the back of a drawer so I'm not tempted!

Hi to everyone else [waves]

MrsMc82 · 07/04/2009 11:45

Hi ladies am a newbie but been lurking for a wee while...Please will someone talk some sense into me.... Am obsessing about going to buy a first response test.... Here are my stats: first cycle ttc, ov'd on cd 15/16 (according to persona), bd'd on 12 16 and 17, currently on cd 20...... So clearly hardly any likelyhood that i'm pg and even in the unlikely event that i am it prob wouldn't show as a +ve anyway BUT insanely have almost walked upto the chemist to buy a test twice already this morning. Too much time on my hands as off sick with a throat infection (eugh) so very busy symptom spotting too.... God i'm driving myself mad!! X

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 07/04/2009 11:40

nunnie i just dont believe they didn't even offer blood tests nothing!

nunnie · 07/04/2009 11:39

sorry you didn't get any answers today iaatcey, must be so frustrating and confusing for you.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 07/04/2009 11:31

morning all just got home
Basically they could see nothing on the scan no sac or anything so said it could be to early to tell. Womb lining looks either like its getting ready to do its thing, or not, they cant say. She said it certainly doesnt look like a 6 week pregnancy etc etc. Have been told by the nurse that it may be that I am pregnant but its still to early to see, or that I did miscarry and thats why the test is showing BFP.
Been advised to test again in a weeks time, and then in 2 weeks if i can wait that long and go back in for a scan.
Bit disappointed as was really hoping to have known either way today. The test i did yesterday which was BFP was so clear, much clearer than the first lot of tests i did. I asked if my cervix was closed etc and they didn't answer, but then it was a scan rather than an internal examination
DH and I have decided we know something is going on because of the boobs being tender (seems constant now and all over) and also i've gone of marmite!? Whether thats anything i really don't know. If the digi test was correct it said 2-3 so it may be just to early to know/see but i assumed i would have been able to at least see a sac or something today!?.
Its not looking good is it!

nunnie · 07/04/2009 11:17

Morning ladies.

Hope it all goes OK iaatcey, I have my fingers crossed for you.

I am now in the 2ww but I have no symptoms to spot yet , I got pain again last night so not sure what that is .
I have decided as I don't do OPKS etc, I am going to continue the bonking madness intil AF here or not as I hope the case is, apart from wanting a mini me, I do quite enjoy bonking madness, not sure I upto thrice nightly though .

Anyone here due AF/BFP soon?

PistachioLemon · 07/04/2009 08:41

Morning IAATCEY, hope it's all gone well this morning. x

Liskey · 07/04/2009 08:32

IAATCEY - hopefully all's gone well by the time you read this - i'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I think it might be a bit early for me to sympton spot but I'll be trying anyway.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 22:35

Hi all its OK i've hatched a plan between my sister and we're heading into the EPU tommorrow morning arriving at 7:30 so i should not have to wait to long!

I know i wont see anything but if they could just confirm there's a sac and not a EP i'll be happy with that

Will catch up on everyone else's news tommorrow sorry have been so rude and totally wrapped in myself these past few days massive apologies!!

Joycey29 · 06/04/2009 20:59

HI Iaatcey - I too had a few issues getting scanned as they are not keen before 6 weeks. In Bristol and though they were lovely they pointed out that there would be not alot to see and they were right but did rule out EP.
It's a horrible wait but better to be seen than some girls I know of who have had to waut til 8 weeks.
Good Luck!
Hi everyone else, getting excited as the 2ww approaches - sending the stickiest of thoughts out to you all.
My next scan is on Thursday will be 6-6 so hopefully will see a bean..... if not I'll be back!!

Liskey · 06/04/2009 18:41

Hi all

Pistachio I bought some on Saturday mixture of OV's and pregnancy tests but I will refrain from testing

IAATCEY Thats shocking the EPU won't scan you when I was bleeding at 6 weeks they scanned me and booked me in for another scan in 2 weeks and that was in Barnsley. Ok all they could see was a sac at that stage but it was good at the time.

PistachioLemon · 06/04/2009 13:23

Lissie Woohoo £60 makes me think I should do one too, I've got loads of stuff in the loft!

IAATCEY Good luck at the EPU tomorrow.

Well, I forgot to tell you all about another symptom yesterday - nunnie, please tell me this is a symptom...

Symptom 7. Clumsyness - managed to fall up/down stairs THREE times at the weekend. Different sets of stairs too -
first on Friday outside my house in full view of all the neighbours and I had to ditch into the flower bed because I thought it was the only way to avoid breaking my neck
second on Saturday in friend's garden in front of friends, DH's family and children while holding a cup of tea which needless to say went everywhere (although I am very proud that I managed to avoid breaking the cup!) again ditched into the flower bed!
third on Sunday in my garden on the step up to the veggie patch. Didn't ditch into the flower bed as didn't want to harm newly planted leeks so ended up on the concrete by the shed!
Gah! How embarrassing!

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 11:06

not tried no but as im in no pain and not bleeding it wont be classed as urgent. I'll have to be patient its all i can do. plus working 3-10 this evening so time will fly by.

lissielouwithbunnyears · 06/04/2009 11:02

can you try calling NHS direct? they got me an early scan with my ep when epu didnt want to know.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 10:59

i live just outside of Bath in Somerset. Tried calling EPU standard messgae we scan at this time etc etc. ive left a message just seem shocking that until your 8 weeks plus no one wants to know.

lissielouwithbunnyears · 06/04/2009 10:56

where are you? thats shocking.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 10:47

lissie just got back from Dr's. Its apparentlty not 'normal' practice to test HCG levels!?!? Im to go to EPU tommorrow morning and sat with loads of other woman waiting for a scan. Dont know why they cant just see me today im tempted to keep callimg to demand but it wont get me anywhere i know Dr said i would be 6 weeks Wednesday if i am pregnant.

lissielouwithbunnyears · 06/04/2009 09:39

morning ladies, hope you all had good weekends. made £60 at carboot!!

shirley, have you spoken to EPU? they need to scan you ASAP. if you are supposed to be 6w and your HCG levels are lower than they should be you need to get a scan, to see whats going on and to rule out an ep.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 06/04/2009 08:14

Oh Lemon sounds like you have a great garden there! I love growing veg just dont have must space, plus my dog would pee all over it as it was growing

I just posted on another thread i tested again this morning, (always in back my mind HCG levels getting lower) and straight away got a BFP! Yes next week would be 6 weeks so lets see what happens. GP not that good so i shall demand blood tests or something as i dont think its fair not knowing what the bleeding was.

Feeling so good though, other than sore boobs and the occasional wave of nausea nothing else going on. Im about to google itchy scalp as omg i was scratching the heck out of my scalp last night! and ive not been near kids to get nits its like sever dandruff!?!? havent had this in years im sure its just my shampoo

PistachioLemon · 05/04/2009 22:35

Evening ladies, hope you've all had wonderful weekends.

Missie any news?

LiskeyI have a stock of the cheapie ebay tests - haven't used any yet so I don't know how good they are but apparently they are super sensitive. They are just like the cheapie ov tests - pee in a cup or other suitable receptacle and then dip the tip in and leave it on the side for a bit. I can send you some if you like? I really hope not to have to use them all, especially as I'm vowing not to test until AF is really really late. Glad to hear you made up with DH

Nunnie lol at bonking mad and thrice Does that mean you are now in the 2WW? Fingers crossed for you - hopefully it's three times lucky!

Lissielou How was your carboot (buying or selling?)? Oh and have you ov'd yet do you think? Last month I didn't ov until CD17/18 of 28 day cycle...so I don't know what's going on!

Joycey Sorry you couldn't see anything but the conception cyst on the scan but glad to hear it's not ectopic. You must be relieved about that. When's the next scan - will that be the one where you get to see arms and legs and stuff waving about? Lol - that's probably most of them but I get dead excited about the thought of it

IAATCEY posted on the other thread but in case you haven't seen it, I wanted to say good luck with the docs - hope they can fit you in tomorrow. I'm sure you already plan to but I'd ask for a blood test this week and an early scan for next week (that's when you think you'll be six weeks right?).

Well, ladies, here's my next round of symptom spotting:

  1. Fecking incompetence
  2. Sore tummy
  3. Nausea
  4. Tiredness

You may remember 2, 3 and 4 were due to overconsumption of pizza so unfortunately cannot be counted

  1. Sore back
  2. Nausea

No scratch 5 and 6 too. 5 is due to digging in the garden and sifting what feels like about two tonnes of soil and 6 is from the creosote that my neighbour has drenched her fence in and the smell of which keeps drifting over to where I am working on my veggie patch. Gah! So that only leaves me with the Fecking Incompetence, which nunnie assures me is a good, valid symptom and I'm clinging to that.

P.S. Shirley/IAATCEY sorry I realised I didn't answer your question... I'm growing (well trying to grow would probably be more accurate) lots of fruit and veg - raspberries, rhubarb, blackberries, gooseberries, strawberries, asparagus, garlic, leeks, onions, broad beans, peas, spinach, oh and other stuff too but I can't remember what I've got. It's a regular good life in my back garden at the moment!

Liskey · 05/04/2009 20:20

Lol so am I.

Pleased things sound so good for you. Hopefully you'll get an early appointment at the GP's and they take blood tests to check your hormone levels.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 05/04/2009 12:17

Hey Liskey ooh glad you made up this morning esp as your ovulating!! Lets hope the little tadpoles do their job

Joycey thanks for your understanding! i will certainly feel more at ease after my GP appointment.

Nunnie how are things with you hope all is good!

Lemon - I've taken a photo finally using DH cameraphone this morning and texted it to myself, so once it disappears from the screen i'll still have it!

Overall though im feeling very good, its hard not to get excited right now but to be honest I am!

Liskey · 05/04/2009 11:08

Morning everyone hope your all ok.

Did an ovulation test yesterday evening which was positive and my temperature's gone up this morning so figured I'm now ovulating.

Even better after a disagreement last night with DH about him going out during the week and getting a "little bit merry" which meant he wasn't in the mood for a few days - due to knackeredness - we made up this morning

Joycey29 · 04/04/2009 20:10

Hey Shirley, I had a bleed with dd and a few traumatic weeks of scanning before it was ok so understand your feelings.
Nunnie - good luck with thrice! I know the cyst thing is not a problem but it does hurt at the moemnt which is one more thing to bring me down at moment.

How is everyone else doing? The 2ww is looming and I am sending sticky thoughts out

nunnie · 04/04/2009 17:57

Joycey a conception cyst is normal nothing to worry about, mine was 8cms so a little larger than normal usually 2-5cms (I think), mine was just monitored before and after, looks like it burst during labour which is a good, don't worry.

Thats far too long a name too much scope for mistake I shall have to call you easter shirley, sounds promising, I am no expert but my sister had an early heavish bleed and clots with her 3rd pregnancy, it turned out she had lost one but had been carrying twins, the other one is now 11, it is worth getting it checked out though, so they can check if you are and that everything is progressing ok. Good luck.

Can't help with the ebay test thing Liskey, do seem to be rated quite highly on here though.

Only twice last night doing the third stint tonight
