Wish I'd seen this thread ages ago as every month I've been sympton spotting as well.

I've 2 tests in the drawer which I've been saving - one I got free to trial and its my lucky one - e.g. to take when i think i really really am and the other is to take just when I think i might be. Makes perfect sense really.

I've been trying to take my temperature each morning but its really not working due to my poor sleeping pattern - therefore I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

ScorpiowithabigS · 15/03/2009 18:14

it tastes like if you put old pennies in your mouth

Joycey29 · 15/03/2009 18:12

God!!Is bad typing a sign of pregnancy????

Joycey29 · 15/03/2009 18:11

HI guys! I was anout to post about this weird blood taste I had all day on and off - (not dog POo) and ask if I am sympton spotting!
Nunnie - I'll wait if you rpomise you will!!!!

OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 18:08

no prob liskey. i have a hpt fund (have mentioned it a few times) and i allocate the money to something else (like new shoes) whenever i feel the clearblue craving.

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 18:04

nunnie, its like when you taste blood (you suck a cut finger etc)

nunnie · 15/03/2009 18:03

Liskey that it the attitude, welcome aboard.

shirleyc · 15/03/2009 18:02

ooh ok! thanks (grabs pen and jots it down in my quick ref book)

Liskey · 15/03/2009 18:02

Thanks for the welcome message Lissielou - I'm listening I promise!

I feel sick as well Shirley and i think thats going to be too early! When I was pregnant last year wasn't sick at all until 8 weeks gone.

I'm holding out - those tests are expensive and we're trying to save money so I really don't want to test unless AF is late.

nunnie · 15/03/2009 18:01

Thats why they call it matallic, then it doesn't scare you off trying.

shirleyc · 15/03/2009 18:00

umm no idea im afraid im assuming metal LOL maybe chew on a paperclip and get a guess? Best way i can think of, whether its safe or not is a different issue all together.....
Seriously hope its not like dog poo thats not something to look forward too

nunnie · 15/03/2009 17:59

2 week wait!
from ovulation to AF.

shirleyc · 15/03/2009 17:58

LMAO.
umm sorry but what is ww..... i cant find it on the acronym list

nunnie · 15/03/2009 17:57

I have a bizzare question but I am going to fire away anyway!

The metallic taste thing, being someone who has never eaten metal, I am struggling with what that would be like. I have a taste in my mouth which I can only explain as similar to that of inhailing dog poo, I will say at this point I have not sniffed any recently and I have not eaten any EVER. Could this be the taste of which people speak, and it is nicer to call it metallic than pooey?

OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 17:56

pmsl, i always "forget" period symptoms when in the 2ww...

OP posts:
OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 17:54

OP posts:
shirleyc · 15/03/2009 17:53

I told my DH i've felt sick for a couple of days which i know is down to anti biotics that im on, didn't stop him having a sparkle in the eye asking me if i knew... lol

nunnie · 15/03/2009 17:53

I must admit since coming on this forum, I have found more and more symptoms to spot not sure if that is a good thing, but it keeps me busy

OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 17:52

lol nunnie, i too symptom spot all month long!

OP posts:
shirleyc · 15/03/2009 17:48

I wont test till then i promise! Plus i cant complain this is only the first month of ttc.

nunnie · 15/03/2009 17:48

Day 19 is not too early to spot symptoms, it might be too early to have any but it is never too early too spot them, I spot symptoms the day after my AF has finished, which I think may well be far too early

OracleInaCoracle · 15/03/2009 17:48

hello, its always good to see newcomers! liskey, i second shirleys advice. always leave it for as long as possible, the chances of getting an accurate result before your period is due are shockingly low, even with "early result" tests such as first response and clearblue. even if yoyu do get a bfp at 10dpo+ chances are that its will be a wishy washy line. which will make you want to test again, and again, and again until you either get a clear bfp (14dpo+) or your period comes.

seriouslyas a reformed test addict, no good comes of early testing. it doesnt make you any more pg. doesnt mean you get to meet your baby any earlier and is just a waste of money!!

OP posts:
shirleyc · 15/03/2009 17:47

Thankyou Liskey,
just told my DH that i dont think this month will be the month as i can't figure out all this Ovulation days etc as i've only just started taking notice of exact days of cycle. On a plus note lots of trying just incase as DH has decided he wants one now .
Lets wait and see together and im staying clear of any tests until AF is due at least....

nunnie · 15/03/2009 17:47

If I can't test till the day after AF due then non of you will DO YOU HEAR ME!!!!
