dh and I are having a last push at ttc. we are giving it either a year or another mc before we give up (haven't told gp ) so i have decided to reopen the anti-testing thread!

I can't stomach grapefruit juice, I am using evening primrose oil and green tea which is suppose to have the same effect, will let you know, hope it doesn't produce too much mind I might end up leaving a trail

EPO and green tea shouldn't be taken after ovulation or whilst pregnant just as a warning if you decide to try it.

Thanks Lissie, I did manage to give up for about three years (obviously a long time ago!) and that time I didn't use anything. I quite like the idea of the puffer though because I definitely wouldn't use it in public and that would mean I wouldn't become addicted to that instead. My brother in law gave up about a year ago and he still uses the nicotine gum now and I'd rather not do that.

Gonna add brazil nuts to the shopping list, as well as grapefruit juice (apparantly helps the CM). Any other tips ladies?

pistachio, it will get easier. i gave up withoout any puffers/patches/gum. and while it was tough when i drank coffee etc, it got v easy v quickly.
and brazil nuts all month. keeps the swimmers happy and healthy. shame dh doesnt like them. but then i dont like taking folic acid and baby asprin!

Shirley - Wooohooo day 2! Didn't get a puffer in the end, got caught up working on DH's website/blog and then it was too late. TBH was ok during the day but I was really jittery come evening time. I had to go to bed instead of watching Desperate Housewives bc I just couldn't concentrate!

Lissie - does he have to have the brazil nuts at any particular time? I'll do anything to help the l'al swimmers, especially after watching the Great Sperm Race this morning on 4oD. How depressing. Now I have to make sure he lets off steam every two to three days, and that we both have AMAZING sex. No pressure there then!

Nunnie - [hug] I'm the same with other people's babies/pregnancies. Almost no-one knows we're ttc and so they proudly parade their lo/scan etc, and while I am really really pleased for them I also feel sad and wish it could be me. One day. Last year the daughter of a friend presented me with a picture she'd drawn of me and DH with a baby in my tummy and told me that she wanted me to be a mummy. Honest to god I nearly choked!

lol good. Gonna grab a bath wish af would hurry up so i can start my next cycle rather than all this waiting! And it will be my first cycle over and done with yayyyyy next 2 ww wont be as bad

Yes he knows and he has been really supportive, and I am truly happy for them and she is a beauty. I think it is just cos I am on my AF and not activly able to try so I am a little bit more emotional than I would be later in my cycle.

I saw my cousins little girl last week and I was fine.

lol nunnie pistachio and i have quit smoking, im on day 2 waiting on pistachio to let me know if she got her puffer stick. Its an inhalator with nicotene inside for quitin, rather than using patches or gum.
