For all of us who have shared so much, tears, hopes, laughter and dreams. May our friendships stay strong and as healthy as we all our.
Here is to our happy ending...we deserve it

Oooh a shiny new thread! OK you've tempted me in, and as VJ and Sabs are here I won't feel like an interloper. I have to admit I've been a bit tentative about posting on the other thread since getting a BFP, because I feel like it just make things harder for the poor ladies who are at the raw end of things. The last thing they probably need is pregnant women around reminding them of what they have lost - which I guess is Barbie's reasoning to create a new thread. I still lurk around on the old thread though just to keep up with the news.

Sabs I'm pretty much on a par with you 8+1, due on 26th September (DP's birthday!). It's a difficult time and I'm still terrified. I was refused an early scan by the EPU, they said only if I had bleeding or other symptoms - and I don't think I can carry off deception to that level. I have had more symptoms this time round - some nausea, weeing lots, stretching pains and so on, so I'm a little more hopeful. Am in total dread of the 12 week scan though, almost feel like I can't go through with it. I'm going to phone for a midwife appointment tomorrow, and hope the hour it takes to fill out all the forms is not wasted this time.

Jools that's really exciting news, and maybe a lift of that kind is what you need to feel more positive about things (and DP). Have to sympathise about the costs though, just the mention of the 'W' word seems to add a huge percentage to the costs. We have plans for getting married at some point, but we want to do a barn dance/hog roast very informal type party and hope to keep the costs down. Won't be for a couple of years though.

Hi to everyone else , can I grab a slice of the carrot cake - yum my favourite

mm1509 · 15/02/2009 22:07

Hi jools good to see you made it here. How exciting about planning your wedding but just following on from what curly said the most important thing about the whole wedding is that you do what you both want not what you feel is expected. Then no matter how you do it will be special for both of you.

What a lovely dream BTW.

Curlywurlee · 15/02/2009 21:12

Hey Jools I like the idea of a beach hut! Glad AF has arrived for you - don't worry things will seem better tomorrow

Very exciting about wedding arrangements too I got married about 10 months ago and was just saying the other day that fabulous as it was, if I could do again I would go for something really small and intimate maybe on a beach somewhere and then have a massive party for all our friends. The whole thing gets so ridiculously expensive and stressful. Just make sure it is all about you and DP and forget the rest!

Joolsiam · 15/02/2009 20:50

Hello ladies Agree with your sentiments entirely for moving a little further away from the MC forum - I was starting to struggle with being there - feeling like I was being dragged back down rather than moving on.

Are we still in a cave, or have we perhaps graduated to a hut on a beach in the bahamas

I dreamt last night that I got my BFP and carried a big shiny BFP into our cave and hid it in a quiet corner under a sun lounger belonging to Barbie to keep it safe for the first 12 weeks

Instead, I woke up with AF in full flow, having arrived one day late and turning my cycle into a bang on average 28 days - day 14 ovulation and a 14 day luteal phase - I suppose that is good news of a sort

Feeling bloated, crampy and grumpy this evening. I should be happy - DP has just agreed after an engagement of over ten years that we perhaps ought to start looking at venues. I've spent all afternoon looking and it is all so bloody expensive I think we're going to end up eloping at this rate, just so we can get the bit of paper in case one of us departs this earth and the other struggles to get rights to more than half the house - practical rather than romantic.

Well I'll donate a bottle of wine to our cave / beach house and intend to guzzle a large glass of red cabernet sauvignon and retire to bed

ps - I ended up with cracked nipples recently - just after those little white lumps on them finally went down around 3 weeks ago and my boobs finally returned to my pre PG B cup. A slightly larger cleavage had stuck around for so long, I was hoping it was here to stay - no such luck !

Curlywurlee · 15/02/2009 20:45

Ouch.. cracked nipples Yuck!!! I'll have some of that hot chocolate instead blue

Not on the 2ww yet. Going to pretend I'm not keeping track as have promised not to obsess this month. Please don't go anywhere Sabs and VJ, we need you to keep us sane

mm1509 · 15/02/2009 20:29

Oh I almost forgot about those cracked nipples.

I love this thread!!!!!!!!!!!

Sabs1981 · 15/02/2009 20:26

hear hear!

bluesatinsash · 15/02/2009 20:19

I've 'borrowed' a couple of beanbags and some hot chocolate from the cave!

May this thread be sprinkled with baby dust, swollen bumps and cracked nipples xx

Sabs1981 · 15/02/2009 20:13

I'm 8+1..have spent the whole weekend being a hermit at home, just being nauseous and not being able to eat, watching endless rubbish tv, sleeping and having DH fuss over me, which is nice...cant cook at the moment either, which is affecting DH a bit!

But im taking the nausea as a good sign (not sure if the tiredness is just be being lazy!)

I'm just being really silly and convinced that when we go for 12 week scan, it will be empty but like DH says, positive thinking, dont want to bring this thread down already!

How you doing Vjay? How many weeks are you??

I'm excited about this new thread too!

mm1509 · 15/02/2009 19:58

Oh I never thought of it like that but I wish I did have something to tell you girls but not yet I'm afraid. The ttc has to wait for now but as soon as we can.

sabs and vjay of course you are allowed on here, although we are in conception the reality is that this is our own little thread for all of us who met and became friends on the last thread. If we stopped at conception how could we all finish our journeys together.

The support continues.............

VJay · 15/02/2009 19:58

So where are you all at? How many weeks are you now sabs? Any of you on the 2WW? Oh this is so exciting

VJay · 15/02/2009 19:39

Me too, I thought you were trying tell us something else. As for big bellies, mine is starting already.
Hi sabs I was thinking about you, of course you can be on here, well I am. We can support the rest through the next stage.

Sabs1981 · 15/02/2009 19:32

Hello ladies - loving the new home!

Well done to barbie for creating the new post - though I'm not sure if I'm allowed to be on here, as ive passed the conception phase....!

Molliemooma · 15/02/2009 19:21

mm1509 · 15/02/2009 19:16

Big bellies surely you get it.........please help me here!!!!

VJay · 15/02/2009 18:59

Curlywurlee · 15/02/2009 18:43

mm1509 · 15/02/2009 18:38

Curlywurlee · 15/02/2009 18:22

Me too. Hopefully I'll get pregnant soon though as am already eating for two

mm1509 · 15/02/2009 17:59
Wink
mm1509 · 15/02/2009 17:59

I'm gonna get really fat here!!!!!

Curlywurlee · 15/02/2009 17:58

This is so exciting... we are on a CONCEPTION thread. It does feel naughty though

Thanks for being so brave Barbie - I've kind of felt the same recently but was torn between wanting you to keep you guys around and wanting to move on to more positive thoughts. I know there may be a bumpy road ahead for all us but we'll get there! And reading through the posts it looks like the old thread is still very much alive and is happy to move on without us - though maybe we can lurk for a while in case they need us.

I've got some chocolate cheesecake if anyone's interested?

mermaidspurse · 15/02/2009 17:30

ohhhh eeek I'm in a conception threadwell I do have my grapefruit juice in the fridge and dh is on wellman tablets, I dont think he has made the connection, naughty me aaaand I have just started the folic acid again... thanks for this barbie waves at mollie and mm

There are so many of us that have been through so much together and now we can just keep on going....and going....and going. All positives here!!

Got a good feeling about this girls.
