Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

blue you're totally right. I have dropped the whole when is the perfect time of year thing and just to get on with it. It is very possible that I might MC again despite having thrown kzillions of pounds at every alternative doctor in town! I don't want to waste time planning for the perfect conception moment. At the same time I would feel quite if I felt that I had bullied him into it. It would be lovely to think that his heart and soul was totally into the whole project now, but he is particularly under pressure at the moment...bless

Anyway we shall see. I can but beg try.

Good for you keeping such a level head and not falling into the old 2 ww trap. Top of the class.

sif - whine away...

There is never a right time to fall pg there are always money issues, family do's weddings, work problems to get through. Before DS was born I was adament I wanted a April-Sept summer baby (Scottish school year intake is March-Feb) and after DS was born (in June )after Emerg. CS I vowed to have a VBAC next time round but here I am 2 mc later and if I fall pg soonish i will have a Nov/Dec/Jan baby and if I do fall pg I don't care how dc is born as long as he/she is ok!

What I'm wafflingly trying to say is that you and your DH should just go for it! Get those boots on and your whiskers combed

Bought big packet of tampax and a big box of mum-to-be vits earlier - talk about hedging my bets..

Well AF is due on Sunday but am I symptom spotting? No actually not really....honestly.

bubble - hope your OK today and your bleeding is starting to subside.

sifuentes · 19/02/2009 13:33

Hope your DH is healing well

sifuentes · 19/02/2009 13:32

headf I could say that, but he wouldn't believe it! I think I will just have to resort to my puss in boots Shrek style looks and meows...

I can see from his point of view that waiting til May isn't that long. But. When you are the girl, and waiting until last autumn was very long in the first place, and post MC you feel very much in limbo - like you are on journey now and don't fancy going back to post work boring pints, and you don't fancy spending the whole summer feeling sick, then three months is a hell of a long time to wait.

(Sorry if I sound really whiney. )

HeadFairy · 19/02/2009 13:16

I'm back.... that wasn't the longest nappy change in history, dh is off sick today as he's sprained his ankle playing 5 a side yesterday and he's been hogging the computer for facebooking working.

Sif, I don't really keep dh that informed either, I just say a couple of days ahead of when I'm due to ov "you feeling up for a few days lovin'?"

One argument you can use with your dh is that chances are you won't get pg straight away and can use the few months it'll probably take as practice

sifuentes · 19/02/2009 12:06

ooo it's very quiet in here today. Is everyone doing silent reading?

bubble I totally don't tell him the ins and outs though he is pretty clued up about what days are gooduns. He just wants to feel like he is fit and healthy and that a couple of money problems are sorted out first. I don't want to wait at all though. We're going to have a chat about it later and hopefully i will win we will reach some sort of consensus on the matter.

Hope you are feeling ok today and hope everyone else is having a very good day so far xx

HeadFairy · 19/02/2009 08:42

Morning all...

Bubble, both my mcs were slightly different, the first one I bled slightly from the start, but when I finally mc'd it did get heavier for a couple of days, like a heavy period. The second time I didn't have any bleeding, a teeeny bit of spotting, but because I just felt odd I had a scan and they said it was going to mc, I started bleeding that afternoon, that came on pretty heavily straight away and lasted about two days, then lighter for another 5 days. The pain I felt was certainly manageable with paracetamol, I didn't need anything stronger. I was told to keep an eye open for any signs of an infection, any raised temperature, sudden increase in bleeding and increasing pain. If you feel like that in anyway go back to the doc, as it might mean an infection.

I was pretty glad both of mine completed themselves without any intervention. For me, it helped me to move on much more quickly, I could just tell myself I was a heavy period so that after one big cry I felt absolutely fine, ready to think about the next time. I think that might have been more difficult if I'd had to have an ERPC.

Peeeeeoooooooowww, I can smell someone who needs a nappy change (ds is standing on the chair behind me looking out of the window at the cars) back in a bit.....

bubblebell1 · 18/02/2009 18:28

sif whats he worried about? whats made him want to wait? i find with my dh that its best he doesnt know the ins and outs, he doesnt perform well under pressure iykwim? so i only tell him the basics and the rest i share with u lot.

sifuentes · 18/02/2009 18:22

Thank you bubble. It was gutting.
I am now screwing about not ttcing this month if dp is serious about wanting to wait.
God I have now totally hijacked this thread!
Hope I am not seriously back to tttc

bubblebell1 · 18/02/2009 18:11

sif, ive got 2 boys. ds1 is 8 in april and ds2 is 2. this is the first time ive had a mc and is completely new to me. if i think about it then i get quite tearful but im trying to distract myself and so far it seems to be working.

i can only imagine how awful it must be to get that far along and for it to go wrong. i wish you all the luck in the world for this cycle. u never know. your dh's super strength sperm might catch you this month too.

Thanks HF, the dr says i was 6wk 1 day, going from lmp. i tried to explain that i dont think i ovulated on time so wasnt that far along but she said to just leave it as that. then this happened so doesnt really matter.

there is not as much blood as i thought there would be. there is more of an achey pain than anything else. it is getting heavier tho as it goes on. is that normal too?? i am a glutten for punishment tho i do keep checking for clots but i will keep your advice in mind.

sifuentes · 18/02/2009 18:03

hi head hope you had a fun day and I hope after all my bravado that I now actually put my money where my mouth is!

DP now saying we should wait til he is properly fit and healthy. Oh my God. What have I started?!

HeadFairy · 18/02/2009 17:40

Hi everyone, been at a friend's little boy's first birthday party today so been offline all day.

Bubble, I'm sorry that things are pointing towards an mc, but glad you're so positive. My 2 mcs have both been at 6 weeks and they were like heavy ish periods, the pain wasn't that bad at all, I did pass some clots, the last mc the clot was about the size of a £2 coin, it's not pleasant, but if that happens, don't think about it, just flush and walk away. It sounds really harsh, but if you start thinking "that was my baby" it's terribly depressing, it's really much better to not think about it.

Well done at throwing away all those opks!!! The only thing I found with opk's was that I got obssessed if I didn't have sex the right day, which is so silly, because you can easily get pg not having sex on the day you ov! I'm so glad you're feeling so positive about next cycle, I have no idea where I am, I think af is due as I'm feeling all the signs, but I'm not really that sure. I think it's due sometime this week.

Sif, you're dh is a very lucky chap Even with all my cycle ignoring I don't splash out on new stockings and lure him to bed He's lucky to get the light on

Bluesatinsash, I can't wait for a garden, I love gardening and growing things, I want a veggie patch, and for ds to be able to build tents in the garden and for us to have lovely sunday barbeque's in the summer. Of course, we'll get a lovely garden and then it'll pour all summer, you wait!

Righty, off to make ds' tea, I'm sure he won't eat anything, he's been gorging on brownies all afternoon.

TTFN

sifuentes · 18/02/2009 17:11

and i liked the 2nd part of the discussion!
My stats
TTC#1
have wanted a bebe for vvv long time but for various reasons only finally started ttc in oct, quick BFP (yay would have had due date within couple of months of 3 friends), couple of months of hideous nausea, then a gory and excruciating natural MMC mid December at 11ish weeks. Left me very anaemic.
first ttc again month will be this month as gave myself a break to eatcheese drink recover. Trying to be totally relaxed about it but can't help but be a bit scared about a repeat and don't want to have to go through awful MS again and then MC again.

so if you like, tttc (trying to try to conceive) 200 cycles ttc 1

what's yours - do you have a lo already? x

bubblebell1 · 18/02/2009 16:48

LOL what u worrying about... im sure there is nothing worng with your mans swimmers. i was just giving you the 2nd part of the discussion if need be

maybe ive missed it but how long have u been trying. whats your stats etc?

sifuentes · 18/02/2009 16:20

thing is bubble I got BFP from the first BD last time, so apparently they can swim fine...it's whether or not they can do what they're supposed to do after that I'm worried about. Maybe my egg was just too easy...

bah. i'm bored of myself now. I'm sure it will be fine blah blah etc etc

do you know what i have actually now officially bored myself with my moaning and obsessing!

bubblebell1 · 18/02/2009 16:10

CANT swim cant not can. derrrrrr

bubblebell1 · 18/02/2009 16:10

sif ask him what good is a lil swimmer that can swim?? eh??? it will drown in beer flavoured stuff, ergh.. sorry thats just gross. i have washed my mouth out with fairy

sifuentes · 18/02/2009 15:55

*well i can talk the talk but can i walk the cowboy walk?

probably not. epecially as he has annoyed me by fishing up medical evidence that says alcohol can affect sperm motility but not quality. I just think that it must obviously have an effect on quality too but that the scientists doing the research are heavy drinking men

whatevs. just get me knocked up with one of your gooduns. that's all i ask!!!!!

bluesatinsash · 18/02/2009 13:27

Oh bubble - what a terrible couple of days you have had and ..

MC can feel just like a period especially if its early on as there hasn't been sufficient time for anything to 'build up' so hopefully you will be saved from passing any clots .

Good to hear you sounding positive and looking forward to SHAGGING without OPKs!

Sifuentes your saucy mare

My poor DH doesn't get nearly as much action as your DP's! I tend to only pounce on him mid-cycle (just as mother nature intended ..)

Headfairy - hope the flat sale goes smoothly. Having a garden is sooo good. We had DS's birthday party in ours last year - thank goodness the sun shone.. DS got a massive tractor for xmas and it will no doubt be churning up the lawn over the coming months . I've started a new star chart for him re: his behaviour and he has been much better this week [fingers crossed emotion]

bubblebell1 · 18/02/2009 11:24

girl ive already thrown away 40 opks. i do feel liberated and this month im not doing anything as far as charting ewcm watch opks. just gonna stick to good old fashioned shagging . we used to have such a brilliant sex life and recently its just been bding iykwim (tmi maybe?)i managed to get pregnant before without analysing my bodys every ache pain and secretion so thats what im going to do from now on.

i have had blood test and have to wait til tomorrow for the hcg level. dr says he hopes nature will take its course and get rid of everything for me and tomorrows level will be an indicator of this??

it doesnt feel any different than a normal period... is this what happens?

girlwithacurl · 18/02/2009 10:26

bubble glad that you are feeling positive, you are right we would be a lot better off without those dratted little sticks! We should do as HF suggests and get rid of them all (knowing full well I won't be able to, but I am getting a LOT better I promise!)

Morning sifuentes always good to have such a cheerful positive person around, and the nooky (not bd'ing) is the best bit of TTC really!

sifuentes · 18/02/2009 09:59

bubble sorry that you have had to go through this. Stay positive. There is no reason not to be. I hope that you can get back into the non counting but lots of good shagging thread vibe asap.

Morning twig headfairy issy girlwithacurl and bluesatinsash

I have now finished AF - no idead what day I am, and am getting very excited about commencing a 2 week shagathon. Not BDing. Not TTCing. Just some great quality nooky. Have been inspired by watching Mistresses last night. Might even buy some new stockings! DP is one lucky LUCKY man.

hmm possibly a slightly fruity post for this time in the morning but I can't help it. It's me 'ormones!!

bubblebell1 · 18/02/2009 08:17

Morning Girls!

im feeling strangely positive. Im bleeding much heavier now and will go to the dr when it opens.. i am annoyed to think that if i didnt have any ebay cheapies then i wouldnt of known about this pregnancy at all.

but once this is all sorted then i will be joining you girls in NOT watching my cycle. it has to be the way forward.

you were all so kind and compasionate in my hours of need i wanted to send you all virtual thank you pressies... so get your lists in

HeadFairy · 18/02/2009 08:05

Oh poor bubble, that's awful. I'm so so sorry

If they think you have miscarried they will do another blood test to check your hcg levels have fallen fully, and they may want to scan you too.

I hope I don't sound too flippant, but if you have miscarried it may have just been for no particular reason, it may have been because the pregnancy was never viable and not because there's something wrong with you. I do hope that's the case, because if it is, it means that when you're ready to try again you can be much more confident.

Take care of yourself, sending you lots of ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))

Issy42 · 18/02/2009 00:02

(((hug))) Bubble. Poor you. What a horrid rollercoaster. Hope doctor can sort something out to help you maintain the pregnancy in future. Take care xxx.
