Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

oh bubble for your poor sister, hopefully they can get fingerprints ? and catch him. What he'll get for her valuables will be miniscule to what they are worth sentimentally .

twig - well done you for holding out, ooh I'm all full of anticipation now...

sif - I would have been gutted too losing all my photos and music but as you say its just 'stuff'. I've probably damaged a few loo seats at parties too but more from throwing up down them than anything amourous

HF - giving up chocolate AND alcohol for lent and [hats off to you emotion]. I'm not giving up anything as I've already given up bread, caffeine and obsessing about ttc .

Had a surprising turn of events at the Docs this morning. Had an appointment to follow up my recent visit to Asthma nurse (I have mild chesty asthma which unfort. gives me a chest infection from hell once a year which struck when I was 5 weeks pg before xmas). Anyhoo I hadn't seen Dr since I mc so we spoke about it and long story short he's giving me a series of acupuncture (he's really into alternative medicine). I'm getting my first session in a fortnight which just happens to coincide with mid-cycle... Hell I'll try anything .

Hello all, quick update: No af, no testing (yay) have decided not to test again until Friday (at which point I hope to be rewarded with a pos test )

Bubble, that's horrible for your poor sis.

Bubble, your poor sister. Taking something which is obviously going to be of sentimental value is really bad. FFS take the TV and DVD and iPods but not the jewellery! When I broke up from the ex with whom i was living, I stuffed the car boot full of my stuff and then the car got nicked. all my photos, music, jewellery, clothes. EVERYTHING. It's gutting but you just have to be a bit zen about it. 'It's only stuff' etc. At least she wasn't hurt. Doesn't help much but...

Girl: Totally agree with the caffeine thing. Have gone back to having a cup of tea in the morning but then a decaff coffee. Probably even worse for you but it's my morning ritual, so whatchagonnado?

soooooooooooooo of all the pancakes.

blue I love walk of shame stories. My worst was walking through a party when following amorous activity I broke the loo seat. eek! I still cringe now.

girlwithacurl · 25/02/2009 09:55

I am always leaving workmen in the house/giving them keys etc. I guess you just want to think the best of people, which is why it is so upsetting when they let you down! Sorry your sister lost something irreplaceble, and to top it off she will have to re-do the varnish, how annoying!

head good luck with giving all that up for lent! rather you than me! I gave up caffine once, had a headach for 4 weeks, just goes to show how much of a poison it is though, probably good to get it out of my system. I have cut down since then, but still can't function without my morning cuppa!

HeadFairy · 25/02/2009 09:37

Bubble, that's rotten. Your poor sister. Hopefully the police will catch the bloke before he gets a chance to sell off her stuff. If he's found with it in his possession they should be able to charge him.

morning girls!

how are you today?

not feeling so lost today... got too much on to worry about opks and temping. my poor sister, the 1 that has moved recently had a plasterer in to redo my nephews bedroom and he stole her watch and links of london sweetie bracelet. she is so upset. it was a present for her 21st it makes me so cross that people would do such a thing. she has called the police but i suppose it will be a your word against his scenario. He was a strange man. when our dad turned up at the house he asked the plasterer for his number so he could then do some work at my parents house and he said 'er no i will take your number.' also my sister had varnished her floor boards and shut the door and his foot prints are in the varnish. (hark at me i sound like inspecter morse )
things like this infuriate me. you just cant trust anyone.

HF i hope you sell your flat soon.
your pancakes sound delicious.. im thinking i may have pancake day again today!

hope your feeling better twig

xxx

HeadFairy · 24/02/2009 20:59

Talking of walk of shame, my sister once had to get the bus from Newcastle to Durham in a very frou frou ball gown on a Monday morning with all the soft-southern-student hating Georgies giving her filthy looks Luckily we hardly ever had balls in Leeds so I never had to do anything quite so scary, apparently at Durham they were weekly or something (posh twits )

HeadFairy · 24/02/2009 20:56

Evening all! Everyone full of pancakes? I did a marathon pancake cooking sesh, dh and i had a couple of ham and cheese ones and then I had banana and dulce de leche (kind of like toffee) and dh was boring and had jam. I did have a couple of traditional lemon and sugar too. I am full like a full thing. I've got a mini bar of green and blacks to have with my cuppa in a min, then no chocolate til Easter. I'm also giving up biscuits, cakes, and booze. Tis going to be a very looooong lent

Twig - well done on not testing... if you don't test for another 10 days it won't make you any less pg, and you won't have wasted a test.

Sif, I am ttc #2... although due to mcs I would have gravida 4 on my notes should I get pg anytime soon. It was really wierd seeing my doc write gravida 3 last time, seeing as I only had one ds. My poor aunt had 11 miscarriages in the late 70's early 80's so when she finally got pg with my cousin she had gravida 13 (she already had a ds) on her notes !!!

Bubble, cos I don't do any temping or anything like that i'm not feeling the lost thing so much, but I can understand it must be a bit disconcerting for you. The one month I didn't ttc was really odd, I got all the ov signs and not jumping on dh was very strange (we did anyway, just not with our usual vigour )

I haven't done too much cyber stalking today, been so busy with ds. It's easier when I'm at work as I can have the page open all day and just refresh it every ten mins few hours The odd thing is we live opposite the estate agents and I can see right in to their office, so I can check up on how much work they're doing. I almost forgot this morning when I wandered in still wearing my dressing gown at 10am (what a slattern eh?) and they were having their morning meeting. My estate agent looked right at me

Righty, that bar of chocolate is calling me... how on earth will I cope for 40 days without chocolate? Oh woe is me

xxxx

bluesatinsash · 24/02/2009 20:03

sif - you have gone all francais on us . LOL at eggs doing the 'walk of shame'. Had lovely image of them dawdling down the fallop. tube disintegrating as they go as the sperm, in puppy like eagerness, swim up to try and tango to find oh, oh game's a bogey!

I personally have done the walk of shame a few times in my yoof and it was always so funny as you passed others doing the same thing "hey there , nice Sat. night clothes...".

I know what you mean re: OPK's but they have struck gold for me 3 times (although I only have one DC to show for it..) although I was also bd like there's no tomorrow...

twig - well done you for not testing. When I fell pg with DS I didn't test for 6 days - how chilled out was I then??!! Ah the halcyen days pre-mc and ttc like a mad woman .

HF - how is the cyber stalking going on your Agents site? Any more viewers?

Definitely not advocating writing in cycle dates or nuffink (I don't even know when i am due [smug]) but quite interested to see others' stats. I have a feeling that I am the only one sans enfant on here...
Have entered bits that i have gleened from earlier posts.

twiglettini · 24/02/2009 14:50

Thanks, Sif, didn't feel you were prying at all, just kind Soup sounds lovely, but just had a long snooze when my lo slept, so feeling a bit better now x

sifuentes · 24/02/2009 12:46

how annoying just saw my error ridden post posted too! Sorry for prying twig probably not in the spirit of the thread (?)

I am so pleased that for once i don't know what day next AF is due.

Am very VERY impressed that you have managed not to test.

Hope your cold clears very soon. spicy thai style clear soups are great for clearing the head. failing that, clear chicken soup and noodles. mmmmmm. cosy.

twiglettini · 24/02/2009 12:30

Hello all, hope all feeling OK. Am full of horrid cold and still no AF, so feeling sorry for myself on both counts. Am pleased with myself as didn't test this morning.

sifuentes · 24/02/2009 10:25

Hey y'all
Hope you are all feeling happy and positive.
Hi Wishing and Issy HF and Issy I am a total hypochondriac sucker for doctors appointments too. I find it fascinating (when it isn't bad news obviously) I would love to be part of some research that meant lots of time off work lives could be saved. Most of all I love finding our random things about myself. So narcissistic (sp?).

bubble I am feeling nicely lost. Just going by CM really. Nervous now cos this week is le week and DP has a terrible cold and shitloads of work. I'm going to have to pull out all the stops: stockings, basque, heels, vicks, handyandies, paracetamol...

blue Hey girl! step away from the OPKs (if you can). In that 'taking charge of your fertility book' I'm sure they say that they're not worth the hassle cos often by the time your surge has registered on the stick your egg is already doing the walk of shame...
I may be wrong - I just read a bit at a friend's house once. Very interesting book.

twig has your AF reared her head yet? Please keep us posted. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Man, i must do some work. HF if i had that housetracker thing and MN i would never get ANYTHING done!

Morning all!

how are you today?

Does anyone feel lost?? This is the first month since oct that i havnt temped etc and i feel like im forgetting something. Its only been a few days since i stopped bleeding and i know that i prob have aaagggeeesss til it happens for me again just feeling sorry for myself i guess

HeadFairy · 23/02/2009 15:01

Blue, spend what you would have spent on opks on wine instead

You're so right about little boys being like labradors. My sister lives the opposite side of the common to me, and we often meet up in the middle when she's walking her dog. She always says I'm walking my "dog"... ds!

I try and stay out of the house when there's a viewing going on, I think viewers can be a bit more relaxed if I'm not there breathing down their neck. We did have a viewing on Saturday though and dh and I were joking about putting the breadmaker on before we went out for the afternoon. We chickened out in the end cos we thought the agent might think we're taking the piss as it's such an obvious trick. We do make break most weeks though so I could be justified. If we don't get an offer in a couple more weeks I might have to start putting it on just before a viewing.

Wishing, I hope you weren't hurt too much. Missing bding for 5 days won't do any harm. Dh and I quite often go two or three weeks when we're really knackered (and it's not the old fertile window you know )

I never find reflexology painful, I'm not sure it's meant to be, but I do wriggle about too much because I'm so ticklish. I'm sure you didn't find it painful because you're in tip top shape

Right, I'm off to do a bit of cyberstalking on my estate agents. They have this great thing called my property tracker, where you can see how many people have viewed your property online, how many saved the details, how many printed the details, and all the feedback from viewings. DH is compulsively going on there, apparently two more people just looked at it... (he really needs more work to do )

bluesatinsash · 23/02/2009 13:54

Just posted and my work PC lost it I bloody hate when that happens...

Hi wishing - glad to see you're ignoring not obsessing about your cycle either .

Izzy - what a busy spring you have! I can't keep up with your running and dancing and egg collecting. I love, love, love the onset of Spring, just feel anything is possible (BFP's please!).

HF - I'm sure your flat will be sold soon, you have put it on at the best time of year, just remember to have fresh coffee brewing and baked bread wafting through when you have visitors. You and your DS certainly love the park and its soo good for them - I read (on here I think) that boys are like laboradors (sp?) in that they need lots of fresh air, exercise, food and cuddles spot on!

bubble - your night out sounded lovely and falling asleep the minute you get home is a sign that you had just enough food and drink .

sif - how are you girl?

twig - did you test again?

Well AF is in full flow and I feel that release I always do when she eventually shows up after three days of kidding on. I can know enjoy my 3 x girls nights out over the next month, white wine in had, new top on, air curled etc. Now next month is a different matter though I need to add OPKs to my monthly budgeting me thinks...

Wishing · 23/02/2009 13:01

hey everyone! Hey twiglett sorry about the bfn, lets try take your mind off it, i know how hard it is not to obsess!

Im not really trying my cycle izzy! thats why im loving this thread with the no detail list! We have been trying to just babydance every other day or so to keep the swimmers fresh like bubble says! hee hee hee hee - some days we have just been toooooo tierd though and we lapsed for 5 full days (caught up again last night though!) hope thats doesnt effect his little swimmers, but i went and had an accident at work and ended up in a and e friday night which disrupted everything and still wasnt much better on sat night! But its all helpd to forget about this ttc!!

Im still struggling to catch up on where everyone is so forgive me for my lack of personal notes!!

Im worried i didnt find it painful! the reflexology i mean! As nearly everyone ive spoken to says it was for them?!?! But im not going to stress about it!

Izzy you do seem to have a busy few wekks ahead lots to make the months fly by with!

Head fairy i hop you do get moved in to you new houes asap and like you say thats something else to get you teeth sunk in to while trying not to obsess about ttc!

I think we are all doing fab ladies! Lets hope it works for us xxxxxxxxxxx

HeadFairy · 23/02/2009 11:11

Hello everyone, I hope you all had good weekends... DS and I spent it bounding around in the sunshine. DH is still lying on the sofa whining nursing a sore ankle I mustn't be mean, he's only got ten weeks to the marathon so he's panicking about taking 2 weeks off his training.

My mum didn't half put me on a downer this weekend saying she didn't reckon we'll have moved before ds's 2nd birthday, that's in September. I think I'll have spontaneously combusted before then if that's the case! I really want to be in a new house before the summer... ho hum, I'm going to obssess about that instead of ttc

Bubble, glad you had a good night out, at falling asleep though. Mind you, a good kip is very important for your health, it's the body's healing time, so that's all good for ttc! I think the every other day plan sounds like a good one. When I was ttc ds I was told by a fertility consultant that every other day was the only thing we needed to do, no temping, charting etc etc. That was the old fashioned way of ttc she said...

Hi Wishing, nice to see you here, your reflexology sounds hmmmmmm... I can never relax fully when I have it because I've got such ticklish feet, but maybe it's the woman who does it.

Issy, crikey, you've got dazzling couple of months ahead of you haven't you? Still if you're a hyperchondriac anything like me, you love a good doctors appt When I was pg with ds I took part in a study about pre-eclampsia, all it involved was a tiny camera being pointed at my finger and the doc counting how many capillaries I had in my skin. Apparently there's a connection so they can predict with some accuracy who will develop pre-eclampsia. Anyway, I love all that stuff, it was fascinating to see. Apparently I have lots and lots of capillaries in my fingers I hope all your tests/scans/prodding about aren't too invasive and may the phlebotomists hands be steadier than ever

Sorry to hear about your bfn twiglett, don't give up hope yet. Of course if you were sticking to my rules you wouldn't be testing until you were two weeks late, but I can see how that would kill anyone, I'm not sure if I'll manage it when the time comes, it was just a plan. If you can manage to wait a couple more days I would, hopefully then you'll have your bfp.

I hope everyone else is well... sorry if I've forgotten anyone. Hi fives all round

girlwithacurl · 23/02/2009 09:56

Hello, hope everyone had a good weekend?
rip i have read "takeing control of your fertility" and found it very useful, it is great not only as a way of getting to know more about your signs, but I also find it brilliant when I need to just look something up or put my mind at rest about things.
bubble i think every other day sounds V. sensible and definitly what I would do in your position. After my MC AF didn't arrive for 56 days, the Dr told me that I could continue to TTC and that I might be even more fertile in the cycle straight after, however guessing when I was Ov'ing was hard, and DP went away for two weeks just when I think I did so wasn't to happen for me.
Good luck!

bubblebell1 · 23/02/2009 09:43

Morning girls!

hope your all ok and not got the monday morning blues...

i think olivo has a bfp and isnt ttc im not 100% but im sure she just poppped by to say hi.

well issy i finally had a clear out of DHs swimmers. hopefully they are all fit and well for this cycle. he has gone to work with a spring in his step

i wanted to ask you some advice.. as my cycle is so unpredictable and im def not going to be temping or using opks i wondered if sex every other day would cover all bases. what would you girls do in my situation?

Issy42 · 22/02/2009 17:41

Hi Wishing - glad you found us. Have added you our ttc-detail-free list. Amazed you fell asleep during reflexology - I always found it quite painful, especially when they do the toes, but that's because I always have tense neck and shoulders.

Twiglettini - You are allowed to test when you're late, so come back. Hope you get an answer soon and hopefully the right one.

Bubble - your poor dh. I think you should get the French maid's outfit out and give him a night to remember - you need to have one bd before the fertile window to make sure you have the fresh stuff for ttc, so just don't tell him that, lol .

Managed my first run of week 3 today and amazed that the 3 mins didn't feel too bad and the 90s ones felt very short - sure it will be harder for the next two sessions after a full day's work though.
