Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

Fantastic news jumping i'm over the moon for you, really. You must just feel like you've won the lottery. Can you allow yourself a wee glass of champers to celebrate?

JumpingJellyfish · 09/06/2009 12:33

Hello ladies

Sorry have been unable to get online since last weds...but I have the best news I could ever have wished for- the baby is not affected by CF (or any trisomies)!
Found out last Thursday afternoon, my lovely consultant spoke to me and afterwards I just wept- with DS wondering what on earth was going on! I still can't believe our luck, but I am so grateful of it! So I'm now 14 weeks pregnant, as of today, and allowed myself (with great relief) to go into maternity clothes and start telling friends and family...

Issy- wonderful news about your little bean! Hope time flies until your past the 12wk mark.

Bubble really hope AF shows soon so you can get going with clomid, it seems so strange that your cycle is so over the place. Are they going to do any more tests soon?

Sunny big hugs to you. You will get that baby- but the month by month wait is horrendous, especially when you feel you ahve tried everything. Have you seen a GP at all?

A big hello to everyone else- sorry for lack of personal replies but have a mountain of emails to tackle and some work too I guess!

sifuentes · 09/06/2009 12:20

Oh i left off poor bubble
Good luck with the clomid. Get those follicles popping, girl.
xx

sifuentes · 09/06/2009 12:20

Hi all
I haven't been on because the MS got REALLY bad last week. I have left the house for the first time today. I won't bang on about it but I hope and pray I don't get that bad again.

sunny hi! nice to 'see' you again. So sorry to hear you're having a tough time though. The month i 'fell' I had made a conscious decision just to live my life and not be dictated to about what week I was in. In fact I was convinced I was too late but must have just caught ovulation which makes me think that if it's a goer it's going to be a boy (shettles method etc) I know that the whole just relax thing can send the best of us into a rage but just focussing on other FUN things is hugely important I think.
Sermon over !

irish good to hear you upbeat and with a plan. well done with the run. I can walk about 100 m at the moment so am impressed and also

issy huge congrats on the scan. it's the best feeling isn't it? Although having said that i really want another one now. The hospital have booked me in for 3 July which feels like a hundred years away. If they won't give me one earlier I think i might have a private one. My mum said she'd pay. Bless her, I think she is as nervous as me. Actually I haven't been feeling too nervous as i have been too poorly to feel any emotion recently! Not much more blood since i have been sticking to the dullest of foods like white bread and cheese and apples basically. Oh and bizarrely the odd egg and bacon sarnie

Sorry you're still yakking so much blue hope it stops for you soon. It should do. Selfishly I need to know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel too. Of my friends that know - which is a handful - at least 2 or 3 have said, 'Oh God, you know, some people get it for the whole 9 months'. THANKS!!! DON'T REALLY NEED TO HEAR THAT!

I wish I had got a picture of my scan. It was all such a blur of nerves i would have liked to have been able to stare at it properly in my own time.

I think it's very funny that you have a picture of your DS's todger, head! You can definitely save that for a rainy day when he's a grumpy teenager. On my calculations you and blue and both tantalisingly close to the 12 week date. Does that feel good?

wasabs time goes soooooo slowly sometimes I'm wondering if in fact it's going backwards. I am desperate to get to the stage where I have a bump, a bit of energy and can maybe even enjoy an evening out. fingers crossed.

Poor DP. He has been working very hard but it has been tough for him living with a zombie. I think he is finding it a bit lonely seeing as by the evening all my focus is on either trying not to be sick or being sick. Not much in the way of conversation

On a plus note but also a note I had an 'O' in my sleep last night. Could that possibly be a positive side effect of pregnancy at last?!!?

Issy42 · 07/06/2009 22:14

Bubble - Glad AF finally arrived for you. Are you taking the Clomid before bed? - That reduces the side effects. Drink plenty of water for the headaches. Really hope it does the trick for you.
Irish - Well done on the 10K run. You must be getting excited about Korea now, not long to go. Hope DH is keeping to schedule .
Sunnydale - Sorry to hear about your FIL. My friend Amanda got to the 'this is never going to happen' stage and said so to me on the phone several times after taking a year following mc to conceive again. She now has a little boy a few weeks old, so don't give up hope.
Rip, Head and Sif - Great news on your scans.
JJF - Good luck for your CVS results. Keeping my fingers crossed for you hun.
Blue - Very belated Happy Birthday . Sorry you're being sick every night. Must be exciting to be telling more family. Glad you had a good day for DS's 3rd birthday.
Headfairy - Hope your ms is not too bad and the polos are helping. How's the house sale/purchase coming along?
Sif - Glad you got you vomiting blood issue sorted but still worried about you. Take care of yourself.
Wasabi - Being pg does seem to make time pass slowly. Are you having an early scan?

As for me, already feel much better after 1st scan and, all being well, will feel better still after next one. I'm really glad that I'm on the research project now as I have another scan on 1st July and then at most every 4 weeks thereafter.

Hi girls,

Hope your all busy and keepng out of trouble

Bubble - great to hear that AF has finally shown up. Really hope clomid works for you and you get your BFP pronto!

Sunny - hey to you and please don't think you'll never have another baby! Have you and Mr Sunny got any holidays lined up that coincide with your fertile time? I've read so much of people conceiving when they were away and relaxed, its a cliche I know but getting away from daily grind does help. I'm sure I conceived this time on DH and my anniversary night away - lots of gourmet sex (for once!) wine and good chats...

Jumping - really hoping all well with you.

Head, Issy and sif - hope you are taking care my lovelies

Irish - like your militery plan for DH - you go girl .

Nothing much to report here, still throwing up every night (my poor teeth!) and we have now told my sisters and DH's parents (bit of a blub fest that one as MIL had several mc early 70's due to incompetent cervix..)

It was DS's 3rd birthday yesterday and his party was fab - his social life is so much better than mine these days .

a bientot tout le monde x

Bubblebell1 · 06/06/2009 15:26

girl how are you?

nice to see ya agian sunny sorry to hear of your FIL

irishmumwannabe · 05/06/2009 11:44

Morning all,

Jumping hope you are holding up and the results are ok. Let us know how they go.

Sunny welcome back - nice to see you again. Sorry to hear about your father in law. I hope you have ov'd butyour monitor is acting up and you never know - good luck if you test soon.

I've given DH a schedule this month - I'm getting scared a little about how seriously I'm taking it this month - we are scheduled for bd right up to next Thursday night, don't think the flight staff would let us join the mile high club on the way to Korea on Friday...

Not on for long jsut a quick hello and I'll post later to see how everyone is.

Bye for now

Sunnydale · 04/06/2009 22:10

Hello all - it's so long since I've been on that you've probably all forgotten me. Sunnywho? Sorry - staff cuts at work, terminally ill father in law, you know the sort of thing. And I didn't want to post until I had time to properly catch up on all I've missed first.
HUGE congrats to so many of you, I don't know where to begin! Issy, so pleased your bean is well, what a lovely pic, it's gonna be a beauty! Wasabi and Sif, congrats to you too, and sorry you've been so sick and worried, Sif. Jelly, so glad you got the CVS done in the end - that must have been hell. I remember mine was bad enough without having to attempt to have it done three times. You are a brave girl and I truly hope the results are good for you. Blue, lol at "scunnered" - I haven't heard that word for a long time! It reminds me of happy times in Scotland. The Scottish language is so evocative. It's where "minging" came from, after all! Head, glad all is well with you and hope you are managing to enjoy this stage. You sound chipper in your posts, which is great to hear. Irish, sorry about your BFN and your cat, but great that you are sounding so positive about a summer baby. Bubble, so sorry about AF not turning up. I honestly know how you feel, if it's any consolation. Sending you a massive hug. Blimey, have I missed anyone? Oh yes - me! Ha ha, only joking. Absolutely bumf* nothing to report at my end, other than that I'm still not PG. And I have a question to throw to the room, for those of you who ARE PG: did you ever feel, before you got your BFP, that you really, really would never get PG again? I'm beginning to feel on some spooky destiny level that it's just not gonna happen for me. And I just want to know: is it normal to feel this way, or is it God / fate trying to tell me something? CD 20 today, still not OV'd according to fertility monitor, temps all over the place, blah blah, whatever.
Anyway, that's quite enough about me. I'm so delighted this thread has been so lucky. It's amazing. All those BFPs. Hope the dry (and wet) heaves aren't too bad for you lovely ladies and here's to more good news very soon, for all of us, whatever stage of torture - sorry, pregnancy - we may be at!

Bubblebell1 · 04/06/2009 14:35

Hi girls!

issy thats brilliant news pics are lovely

Hope your all ok.

day 54 and still no AF!

went to drs today and ive been perscribed clomid. feel a little confused as to how to take it!

She said that the first day i take it will be cd1 and then i will ov around day 14??? didnt say to have scans. is this normal?

she did say not to start til after the results of DHs sperm test. so got a few weeks to wait.

bluesatinsash · 04/06/2009 10:31

oh Issy that's just fantastic news , I'm so happy your scan went well. Sorry I didn't get on yesterday, was working off-site and when I logged on last night you hadn't reported back and I didn't want to temp fate on your behalf sending good wishes... (Yes I am mad as a box of frogs). Lovely to see your scan photo up there too .

I had my fourth 'sanity' scan this morning - baby was very active, two arms and legs, all good and measuring 11+1 . DH and me are so relieved and happy and i'm even starting to breath a little easier. Still have my booking scan in a couple of weeks so holding off telling anyone until then but we're going to tell DH's parents on Saturday by handing them the scan photo .

wasabi - I am so feeling for you just now. Time does slow down, and every day is filled with doubt and paranoia, have you got an early scan booked? I have found getting scans so reassuring as it makes you feel 'looked after' which has a good effect on your body and soul.

irish - I LOL at your DH coal story . He so would have failed his caveman diploma - lesson one make outfit out of bearskin - tick, lesson two - bring suitable fire making coal - FAIL! Hope you've recovered from your run .

sif - how are you holding up today?

Head - hope your moving slowly into the blooming stage . I'm still puking every evening but feelng better during the day.

Better go, my mum took DS to mini gyms and they've just pulled up x

wasabipeanut · 04/06/2009 08:57

Clearly the worry has made my grammar go to pot as well.

And this, from someone that writes for a living. Sheesh.

wasabipeanut · 04/06/2009 08:56

Oh Issy thise pictures are lovely. You must be so relieved and happy.

I remember showing our 20 week scan picture to anyone who would look. We were lucky and for once DS was very co operative and allowed a perfect picture to be taken. He was laying on his back sucking his thumb. It was just ridiculously cute. We didn't know he was a boy and wanted to keep it a surprise but at that point I decided he looked like a boy!

I just hope know that I can give him a brother or sister.

I have been so up and down for the last few days. One minute I am in floods convinced its all over and then the next minute I feel a symptom of some sort and I cheer up. I get my blood test result back tomorrow so should at least find out if my HCG levels are where they should be. Then I can find out if they are going up.

Why does time go so slowly? I thought I was 5+4 today but actually I am only 5+3. I am going to go absolutely potty. Of that there can be no doubt.

irishmumwannabe · 04/06/2009 08:26

Issy those pics are so cool - you must be so relieved to get that out of the way. Congrats on Idranwy!

Hope everyone is keeping well - how are all you pg ladies doing?

Must dash - talk to you all later

Issy42 · 04/06/2009 00:51

Thanks Head. Finally managed to get the pics scanned in and added to my gallery. Was trying to get a photocopy to put in my mum's birthday card for Saturday but just didn't come out well. Struggled to combine Myfanwy and Idris into one but have come up with Idranwy as new bean name. Now really must get to bed.

HeadFairy · 03/06/2009 21:55

Ah that's lovely news Issy, so glad it's all looking good. I've never been able to get scan pictures on, last time I scanned an image but I couldn't get it to save as a jpeg which is what you need if you're to upload it here. Maybe someone with better pc skills than me will know. In the meantime, frame it and put it by your bed so you can kiss your little bean good night.

To my shame I nearly lost the scan picture I had from my 8 week scan this week. To think with ds I nearly did frame it and put it on the wall, but this time I've been much more casual. Perhaps a side effect of me trying not to get to emotionally attached to this baby until I know it's all going to be ok.

My favourite scan picture of ds is the one the sonographer took of his little willy to prove to us it was a boy... we didn't show that one to too many people, we showed them the cute ones of his hands and feet, but not the little todger We had to spare his (future) blushes. Still got it though, could be a bargaining chip if he's a terrible teenager

Issy42 · 03/06/2009 21:43

Hi all - quick update as promised. Scan was all good - one baby, strong heartbeat, 11mm. Extremely relieves as was really terrified this morning. Must make some phone calls now as both mum and friend waiting for calls so will catch up with thread later in the week. Any good tips on how to copy the scan pictures? Take care everyone and thanks again for all your good wishes.

Good luck issy, will be thinking of you lots tomorrow- I am sure you are pretty nervous. Be gentle on yourself xxx

Issy42 · 02/06/2009 22:48

Hi everyone. Sorry been away, didn't mean to worry anyone. Trying to keep away from threads until after scan tomorrow as I found the more time I spent on MN, the more nervous I was getting. Too many people having bad news at early scans. Will update after the scan and catch up asap. Love to all.
