Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

Hi everyone.

Hows things?

Hi irish nice to see you again. whereabouts are you in your cycle now?

sif i hope you feel happier soon. dont give up just yet, until af shows you could still be in with a chance. my main pregnancy symptom with both my ds' was mood swings, being short tempered and aggressive. (god knows why dh wants anymore) like pmt but lasted for a few months.

Good luck for your scan gateau. im sure everything will be fine

JumpingJellyfish · 10/03/2009 12:12

Sifuentes- no wonder you feel a bit down, especially having nearly reached that magical 12-14week mark Big hugs to you.

Hi irishmumwannabe!

Gateau keeping everything crossed for you, really hoping this is lucky no. 3.

Saw my lovely GP this morn, who is starting a rake of tests to work out why my cycles are shorted & more variable than they used to be and why I'm spotting so much up to 4 days pre-AF. Had hormone & thyroid blood tests done this morn, then another apt next week to go through those results & do an internal examination. I'm glad she's being so proactive, especially as officially only been TTC for 8 months. But as she said spotting when I never used to warrants investigation even if I wasn't TTC. She said she suspects it's a hormonal imbalance but then the tricky thing if working out what's causing it. She's asked me to refrain from TTC this month so if anything comes up from the tests we can act on it. I am refraining from googling as don't want to scare myself. Bit gutted to miss out on a month of TTC but also really want to figure out what's going on. She thinks I'm probably anaemic too, which can't help anything- so had test fot that as well! 4 viles of blood at 9.30am, lurvely!

Good luck all those on 2ww, and for those who aren't lucky this time round I hope to be "in sync" next month when TTC again (hopefully) x

Gateau · 10/03/2009 11:48

Hi everyone,
Hope you are well.
I know I haven't checked in here for a while. As wella s being busy, Part of the reason is I don't want to talk too much about this pg for fear of tempting fate!! (For those of you who don;t know, my last two pgs both ended in mc last year).
I'm now nearly eight weeks pg (I hope!) and am booked for an early scan next Thursday. Hopefully I'll get that far!
I'm just so, so worried there will be no heartbeat there!
Am checking constantly for bleeding, but I know that's not the only sign of a non-viable pg.
You wouldn't believe how scared I am!!

sifuentes · 10/03/2009 11:35

oh blue it really does. It's turned into a walking through treacle on a treadmill day today. But. it really really helps to know that you understand what I mean!

bluesatinsash · 10/03/2009 11:30

sif I can totally empathise with the in limbo sliding down snake on square 99 analogy. I feel like I'm trying to 'catch up' on previous pgs and long to be pg so much - it really tests our stores of positive thinking doesn't it ?

irishmumwannabe · 10/03/2009 10:37

Hello Everyone,

I recognise quite a few of you from aaaaages ago - I decided to take a few months off the whole ttc thing and have just coem back to it because it was stressing me and DH out! :-)

Hi bubble, Jumping and everyone else - hope you've all been keeping well. :-)

I have been ignoring my cycle for a few months so I'm an old pro at thsi but I did buy some opks last week so we'll see if I remember to start using them!

sifuentes · 10/03/2009 10:23

Actually I have gone from relieved to feeling a bit blue. Only month one, so i shouldn't really be getting my knickers in a twist yet, but there having almost reached the 3 month stage before Christmas only to lose it feels so much like slipping down the big snake on square 99. I just really want to be getting on with it again. It's not like it would be physically possible to catch up with where i was obviously, but this limbo phase is actually totally doing my head in now.

Sorry to rant. just had to get it off my chest. bloody PMT! Hmm., might retract what i said about the vitamins...[grrr]

sifuentes · 10/03/2009 09:33

Hi everyone - Well this morning I woke up singing 'there's nothing preg about me' to the tune of 'there's nothing sweet about me'. I have zero symptoms but have that lovely pre AF anxiety thing. Strangely I feel relieved as now rather than getting my hopes raised and wondering I can just chill a bit and then invest in a bit of kit for the next turn on the old ttc merry-go-round. This time I mean technical kit rather than stockings!

I might even try temping, though I am dappy and forgetful at the best of times, so I am not sure how well I would get on with it. OPKs should be ok. I just quite like the thought of regaining a bit of control over my cycle.

No idea when I am due on - sometime this weekend I think. Does that make me the Alpha?!?

Good luck to all you lovely ladies currently on the 2ww. I hope you are not obsessing too much. I have got a good feeling about this month, I think a few November babies might just hatch out of this batch!

oh and i must just plug my uber vits (biocare multivits) I know that they are the reason that my PMT is actually so much better this time. Normally I go nuts around now. I think it's cos there are loads of B vits in there. I really recommend them. My skin is better too. There are upsides to ttc.(aside from hopefully the obvious one I mean!)

xx

Issy42 · 09/03/2009 23:59

Hello everyone. Sorry not had time to catch up but thought I'd better just pop in and say hi. Would catch up now but have an early start tomorrow - interviewing for another maternity cover in my office.

Afternoon all,

I'm also on the 2ww after stoic bd sessions all weekend, poor DH is quite worn out . We even managed a sneaky one this morning by giving DS a 'treat' of going downstairs a bit early "while Daddy has his shower" and DH snuck back to bed for ten five minutes . DS was happily tucked up on the couch, watching Fireman Sam and eating his banana .

Jumping - sorry to hear you have thrush. I have had it before and used the cream which worked a treat. I wouldn't have thought it affected ttc though

Head - hope you get some sleep and your nights aren't too tough this week.

sif - LOL at burping. I have a huge appetite today and am thinking - ooh hormones already? (No just greedy guts).

Have my first acupuncture sesh on Wed so will be asking for 'successful implantation' option .

Have a good day y'all x

sifuentes · 09/03/2009 12:14

Hello everybod

Girl i am failing very badly on the no symptom seeking spotting. Despite my protestations that it is most unlikely this month. I burped this morning and I immediatley thought 'ohmygod. A burp! i was so burpy last time! maybe i AM!' DOH!

Darth Vader is very persuasive. I think I might well join the dark side.

HF reee-spect for doing nights AND looking after a toddler.

Blue I hope you had a fun time out with the girls.

OK sorry not to HI 5 you all individually but must must must get back to work.

Will check in properly later tomorrow.

girlwithacurl · 09/03/2009 11:55

Hi everyone, hope you all had a good weekend?

I am in the middle of the 2ww and symptom spotting like mad! patience is not my strong point!

one of my friends just had a huge 9 and a half pounder... phew! thats gonna hurt!

HeadFairy · 09/03/2009 09:03

Morning everyone.. hope you've all got some sunshine. It's a lovely day here in Sarf London.

Sorry to hear about the thrush jumping. I'm afraid I don't know anything about thrush creams and ttc.. I've been very fortunate with thrush, very rarely have it. I hope the doc can put your mind at ease and perhaps find something you can use when ttc.

blue - I hope you enjoy the boss... I'm sure you will be pg by then, you can get the little bean rocking from an early age

bubble - don't tell anyone but sshhhhhhhh I'm on the 2ww with you Hope it goes well for you.

Well I can report on my findings of the effects of grapefruit drinking.... OMG! Flaming tons of ewcm yesterday! Let's hope it does it's job effectively!

Have a lovely day everyone, nights start tonight so I'm going to try and get some kip today. Have a good 'un x

Bubblebell1 · 09/03/2009 07:44

Morning girls!

How are you all?
Did you have good weekends?

JumpingJellyfish · 08/03/2009 12:42

ooops didn't mean DS of course - but DH!! brain is not engaged!!

JumpingJellyfish · 08/03/2009 12:40

Good morning ladies!

Issy thank you so much for your post about OPKs (and the kind wishes too)- I've decided to break open the packet tomorrow, which is probably waaaaay to early (only just finishing AF) but as my cycles seem quite short atm then figured I may be ov'ing before I realise. I don't actually know what CD I'm on though, and can't remember the date AF started, as determined not to get so obsessed!

wishing glad you are feeling a bit better- I would definitely seek another medical opinion about your cycles though, for peace of mind if nothing else. Good luck on you 2ww- bubble and all others too!

I think I'm bottom of the hierarchy as only just finishing AF!

Off to GP on Tues about my changed cycles, which is kind of good timing as having a thrush flare up again (sorry TMI ). I ended up needing the tablet for it last time, but apparently you shouldn't take it while TTC Creams don't seem to help much It's quite strange as very, very rarely had thrush while on the pill or BFing but since TTC seem to get it very easily- reckon I must be allergic to DS - and bless him he has to use cream now too Wondering if thrush can interfere with TTC- any one know?

Hope you are all enjoying a relaxing sunday? I'm in work- well writing thesis- walked in through glorious sunshine so hoping I'll now be in a super-productive mood!

bluesatinsash · 08/03/2009 12:35

oooh, I'm sooo excited - opened Sunday Times this morning and Bruce Springsteen is playing in Glasgow on 14th July, tickets duly bought and I can't wait - he rocks Gin

Will I be pg by then ?

bubblebell1 · 07/03/2009 18:13

Hey girls!

just wanted to say hi. Hope you have a good weekend.

Wishing im so glad you are feeling better.

HF i hope that you ov before u go on your week of nights.

how are you sif and girl ?

well i had a +ive opk for 2 days tues and wed and was neg thurs and fri so have stopped poas. i am now officially in the 2ww.

HeadFairy · 07/03/2009 17:28

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better wishing. I hope that 2ww wait is nothing more than two weeks... ooh hang on though, you want it to be a 9 month wait don't you? Fingers crossed it is

Issy, lucky you getting a +ive on your ov sticks... I didn't get one this morning and that was my last stick so we're just going to keep at it for the next few days. I'm on nights next week so I won't be getting any action then, so I'm making this week count!

Just a quickie from me as ds is trying to smash his hands on the keyboard! Have a lovely saturday night everyone x

bluesatinsash · 07/03/2009 12:56

Hey wishing - sorry to hear you've had the hangover from hell but sometimes you just need to let your hair down.... Did your DH have to put you to bed? .

LOL at red monkey bum, I've got a +ve this morning and hope the outcome wasn't affected by the 3 5 x glasses of wine I had at my night out last night . Sooo looking forward to couch potato-ing tonight, need to keep my strength up for all the bd .

Wishing · 07/03/2009 11:02

Hello everyone, thank you for the lovely support, im much better today but i have suffered ever since thursday as after such a rubbish day i drank far too much when will we learn eh!!!

Headfairy i could cope with my bottom turning bright red if it meant i knew one way or the other! im not sure when i ov anymore, and do to my drunken antics we didnt bd thursday, not that i really blame dh for that! but we did bd mon tue wed as with these 46 day cycle i should have ov wed! Lets hope that enough and hopefully i am on the 2ww!!x And if not then im waiting another 6 weeks till i ov again! Might have to go visit docs i think. I lknow its the norm for cycles to go awol after mc but i just want to make sure im doing everything i can!

anyway hope we all have nice weekends baby dust to all xxxxxxxx

HeadFairy · 06/03/2009 18:11

Evening all...

I'm off work today so that's why I haven't been posting. Never get a chance with ds, if I turn my back for a second he's throwing himself off the top of a wardrobe or some other nightmarish scenario!

Thanks for the top tips about opks Issy, I'm only using them up so I don't waste them, if I was really serious about it I'd do it twice a day, but as I'm only playing.... If I get a positive then it's a bonus.

Sif, I hope your cycles settle down soon. I've been very lucky that mine seem to have settled back in to their normal routine straight after my mcs but of course I'm not really examining them that closely so I'm not exactly certain if I'm oving at the same time any more. It does seem like Mother Nature takes the piss sometimes. If only we had a proper advance warning when we were about to ov... I don't know, perhaps our bums could turn bright red like monkeys On second thoughts.....

Blue... ooooh I wonder who among us is the Alpha female? First one to get af wins... oh hang on a minute, that's not what we want

Hi to everyone else, hope you all have a lovely evening... ttfn xx

bluesatinsash · 06/03/2009 16:22

Hi All,

Quick post before I log off and leave work for the weekend (yay!).

I've ordered a truck load of baby dust which is being tipped over the whole lot of us over the weekend so apologies if you get covered in soot .

Head - that's soo true re: girls living together getting in cycle sinc. I also read that the 'alpha female' has her AF first (I guess so she can use up all the good tampons). So we're in sync over cyber space - old ma nature's presence is strong!

Off on my playgroup Mum's night out tonight, Tapas bar in town and probably me getting drunk and doing my 'longing for a baby' talk.

Happy shagging/2ww/sticky thoughts and gearing up for IVF (izzy) to all x

sifuentes · 06/03/2009 14:51

Wowee it's very quiet in here today.

issy thanks for your lovely post. I am not getting my hopes up this month. On the contrary. Although I would like some phantom symptoms in a way otherwise it's just plain boring. I have absolutely no idea when i'm going to come on either, so it could be a 2 or 3 ww. AND it's only a wait for AF - FUN!![zzzz emoticon] Think i might befriend fertility friend in the meantime. well...it's something to do isn't it?

It seems like crazy post MC cycles are the norm. I miss my old cycles but don't really mind, just need to keep tabs on them now.

God I am suddenly so tired. It's the mid afternoon sugar dip. Might have a snooze on my desk before posting some more
doing some work.

I hope you are all well and enjoying being in RL instead of on MN.

bon weekend tout le monde! oh and lucky nooky to those who are gearing up for a weekend of lurve.

xxx

girlwithacurl · 06/03/2009 09:20

Hi all. Thank f* its friday. And the sun is out! yehay!

wishing I am so sorry you are having a hard time at work. I just wanted to say that after my MC i had a cycle of 56, and now they are around 40 (they were about 32 before the MC) I have no idea why they havn't settled back as its been 6 months, but just to let you know that you are not alone, and perhaps it is normal. Izzys advice about sex discrimination is good though! i would try that and see them run!
