Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

hey everyone.... still havent tested....i was sick this morning though but could be because of the wine i had the night before... oh i dont know... still going to wait until saturday to test

Issy42 · 18/03/2009 14:15

Be careful what you wish for Head. Now some of you will know that I was a little freaked about the thought of bringing up twins on my own. I've come round to twins now, mainly as financially the extra tax credit will pay the extra nursery fee, but still freaked about increased risk of mc and am really freaked having read that IVF has higher chance of identical twins, so you can have double embryo transfer and end up with triplets. Anyway, mum phoned last night so decided to tell her that the IVF is happening end April. She asked about chances of twins or triplets so told her freaked but calming myself with chances of triplets being very low. She promptly tells me stories of twins (her uncle) and triplets (her grandad) in the family that I never knew about and then goes on to say that she doesn't know if they were identical as one of the triplets and the mother died in childbirth and her uncle had a vanishing twin. Great positive stories - thanks a bunch mum! Tact was never a strength in my family!

Sorry you're feeling down Rip. We've all been there. Hope the doctor has some answers Girl. Hope AF stays away tomorrow Suzi. Hi everyone else.

Hi everyone...

Sorry to hear ttc is getting you down rip. It gets us all down sometimes so feel free to rant away to those who understand

Glad you had a nice day yesterday blue. Poor ds had a rotten day, first I took him to the docs for his MMR jabs and he really cried poor love. Then he had to sit in a hot car for an hour while we drove to the garage to sign the paperwork for the new car, plus we had a little spin in the new car so that was yet more time strapped in to his car seat, then an hour back to get home. He was rightly hacked off at me, so I've promised him a day of fun today. He's been playing all morning, having his nap now and then after lunch we're off to the park so he can run around and have fun. I'm hoping he'll crash at 6pm too

Sorry af got you girl... hopefully as you say the docs can work out what's going on with your cycle. I do hate those stories of people who try for ages to get pg, then give up and get pg with twins straight away. Of course I'm happy for them, but it's flaming typical. I've tried being as nonchalant as possible, but still no twins. I WANT TWINS, NOW!!! Actually, I take that back, just one would do

A big sunny hello to everyone else. You caved and tested yet Suzi? Not that I advocate early testing at all

girlwithacurl · 18/03/2009 09:46

Hi everyone... so on CD3 (sorry head promise I will try harder to ignore my cycle) of a 40 day average cycle. so I am on the 4 week wait until BD time. From a positive stance this means that we should just relax, have sex for fun and try not to worry about it all. In reality harder said than done, but I promise to try!

rip sorry you are feeling down about it all. It is really hard, especially when others around you seem to get pg at the drop of a hat. I try to be pragmatic about it all, but it is really hard, I just want ot shout... Why can't it happen for us!?!

Dr's on Tuesday, so hopfully they will do something to help. I keep thinking of my SIL who was trying for 2 years, had all kinds of tests etc. then decided to take a break from it all and emigrate to Aus. then got pg with twins! they still went to Aus. but it just goes to show, it just takes some people longer.

Evening all,

Its been such a beautiful day today me and DS were out the house between 9.30am and 3.30pm - we're both knackered and he was fast asleep at 6pm .

Hey Ilove and RipMac. Don't worry about ranting/feeling down on here, we can all relate big time.

Have copied stats removing spaces to avoid bfp confusion

Congrats to Wishing - fab to hear about your bfp.

I'm not going to leave a long post. I do check in here from time to time but try not to come to Conception too much.

Having a pretty "glass half empty" time at the mo with regards to ttc. It's now a year since our mc. And about cycle 15 since we began trying for DC2. It's hard to stay upbeat. Especially when I'm hearing about an average of 1-2 babies at the minute. It's just my age and stage I guess.

Anyway, won't whine on. Am trying to stay upbeat but my goodness, it's hard.

Reading this back, I sound like a right barrel of laughs. I'm not that bad but only if I don't think about ttc. When I do, I get pretty upset. I hope you all know what I mean. I'm sure some of you do.

Hope you're all good - and that your pgs are going well wishing and gateau

suzi did u cave in? have u tested?

xxx

Issy42 · 16/03/2009 22:52

Sorry for confusing everyone Suzi - let's hope it's a premonition. The list is just in the order that people joined the thread. Hasn't been organised into BFPs at the bottom. Good luck for testing when you cave .

HeadFairy · 16/03/2009 22:42

Phew, I thought I was going senile (though obviously not phew that you're not pg) Good luck with the sitting on the hands and not testing

SuziBhoy · 16/03/2009 22:11

am i pregnant and no one has told me, just kidding... no headfairy i never got a bfp, but im almost on the verge of testing.. not due until thursday and im trying to hold out until saturday before testing

HeadFairy · 16/03/2009 20:38

Aw Ilove... don't worry, this is totally the place to whinge about ttc and what a load of crap it is... The whole avoiding talking about it rubbish is just a wheeze really, and of course actually we're all obssessing as much as anyone else. You know what, the amount you've spent on ttc equipment, I bet you only get to use it one month. 'Tis sod's law. I'm planning on spending an obscene amount of money on a frock for my friend's wedding in May with the full belief I'll be pg by then and won't be able to wear it due to huge pg boobs! The amount I'm prepared to spend on this is a reflection of my desperation... I was looking at £500+ frocks this lunchtime

(((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))) hope you feel better soon.

Ilovebeingamummy · 16/03/2009 20:12

Sorry - is this the thread we're supposed to forget about TTC?

Just read the post back - not uplifting for anyone. Sorry ladies - disappear for a month then come back whinging. x

Ilovebeingamummy · 16/03/2009 20:11

HI all

Congrats Wishing x

Af arrived bang on time today...CD34. Another agonizing 5 weeks of constant bd before i can put myself through hell again. Every cycle that ends in af just seems to make me sadder for the two I got and lost. i don;t know why but it just does.

So in a bid to try and somehow regain control I have spent £100 online today on a clearblue monitor, 20 sticks, pregnacare conception, 1000mg EPO tabs and 100mg VitB6 tabs.

Lets just hope that the ridiculous amount I have just put on my credit card somehow means sods law I'll only get one month to use it....

Arrrggghhhh. I HATE TTC.

HeadFairy · 16/03/2009 18:35

oooh naughty issy with those links

Did I miss something, do we have another bfp? I didn't realise suzibohy had got a bfp.

Issy42 · 16/03/2009 18:23

Congratulations Wishing - sending you lots of positive thoughts for a very sticky bean .

Sorry AF got you Bubble and Girl. Good luck with the GP Girl. Bubble - my cycles changed after mc from ~34 days to ~26 and have slowly crept back up to 27/28 - it's quite common apparently.

JJF - I don't think you need to worry about not knowing your cycle when you conceived dcs as it has probably changed now anyway. Re cycle madness when tired - the only time I didn't ovulate in my monitored cycles was when my boss was being a total b*tch and made my life hell and I'm sure that was why. Luckily we had consecutive holidays so didn't see each other the next month. Good luck for Thursday. BTW my parents live near Stranraer but I've only done the 6-hour drive from East Midlands to them once - must be a long journey to the south east.

Sif - I'm awarding your DH the 'DH of the month' award for clearing his diary for you. The club I go to once a month is very close to ex's house, hence walk of shame falls on me . Particularly this time as his flatmate (also a friend of mine) was visiting her gran near me and gave me a lift. Cue awkward talking about anything except the night before moments in the car.

HF - was going to put in a link for you but can't remember it and daren't check at work (and suggest you don't either). Think it's this or this. I stumble across these things looking for goth clothes, honest guv . Might counteract the volvo-inducing middle ageness. You'll either get the right site or something about people who really like the produce of bees, lol.

Have updated our list with Wishing's BFP.

Yehay congratulations Wishing thats fab!! I am not an expert, but I am sure everything is fine! sticky thoughts coming over!

HeadFairy · 16/03/2009 16:54

Don't worry about the wine, it won't do any harm whatsoever...

And the cramps and spotting... well the calm sane rational person in me would say don't worry about it. You're 11dpo, it could well be implantation bleeding, and cramps are totally normal in early pregnancy. Scared the living daylights out of me last time, but it's just the hormones getting your uterus ready for a growing baby. Of course the hormonal, weepy irrational person inside of me would be bricking it too. So I totally understand how nerve wracking it is for you. Either way, there's nothing you can do, frustrating as it is. The strong bfp is a good sign, just focus on that and enjoy being pg

Wishing · 16/03/2009 16:42

and ive had 3 pints of water today! my pee was weak!! I had some wine yesterday too!!

i think i must be about 6 weeks, im so glad cos thats half way to 12 weeks like you say head fairy, im still worried about this cramps and brown spotting though! dont want to become obssessive xxxx
