Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

Woohoo Jumping

Massive congatulations!!!! I'm so pleased for you!

This thread has definitely been lucky for me. This is about the first month in a long, long time I haven't joined the "July/August/December" baby thread and lo and behold.... So i'll be hanging out here a bit longer too. Just to watch everyone else getting those BFPs too.

Yipee. I've had a pretty crappy day at work. But am so, so delighted to read this. Hope your 8ww just flies in until the CVS and we can be here to hold your hand/support you through that.

hope you had a smashing birthday bubble sorry I missed that earlier! Your eye sounds pretty sore Headfairy - hope it's not putting you off your MNing.
bluesatinsash - you'll need to let me know how the fit flops are. I fancy trying a pair for summer...

Hello and love to everyone else.

Rip x

Hi blue!So Sorry I forgot to say hi earlier. Thanks for the list update. It's great to see progress has been made on this thread. Hope you are having a lovely and romantic time this week
I am off down on a boat trip down the canal next week so that will take my mind off the 1 week wait.

In the meantime I must grow a beard and learn how to smoke a pipe x x x

hello ladies, I am so sorry I have been mad busy in work and then just don't want to see another computer screen when I get home at night! I have been lurking though. Congrats to all the BFPs - hope you all have very sticky beans. :-) Jumping liek I said in the other thread I hope everything goes well for you in 11 weeks.

Things have calmed down here now though (for now) so I will be here more often (I think I said that last time too - here's hoping)

So as you can see from my stats I am overdue - my lmp was 03/03/09 and I was due on Friday just gone. Have done about 6 HPTs and all BFN - am so raging. I've done most of them with FMU as well so not a happy bunny!

I have been nauseous for the past week or so, have a strange taste in my mouth sometimes, have weird crampy feelings, have been going to the loo so many times in work that have had to invent a kidney infection and am shattered too. (The tiredness might be because my friend came around last nightbefore she goes back to Korea - was up way past my bed time). I know it can take forever sometimes to get a BFP but I wish it would get here already if it's coming. . Bubble I remember you had that mad long wait and can't imagine how you managed to stay sane.

Anyway after that marathon post I'd better go and do some work - hello to blue, Wishing, sif, Gateau, Head, Issy, girl and everyoen else who I've probably left out.

JumpingJellyfish · 31/03/2009 15:17

Thank you so much girls for the congrats
Been on phone this morn booking in my CVS But has to be done. My head is all over the place and I swear I feel sicker as the day continues- psychosomatic?!

head hope your eye is much better for your busy day tomorrow!

girl good on you giving blood. I used to regularly until the changed the rules- had blood transfusions as a kid in the 1980s so may harbour CJD [grin} so I'm not allowed anymore.

sif I would be so mad if work banned this site- the only internet access I have is through work . But is it hard to justify it I guess...

blue 4 out of 10 is pretty good, but there's lots of room for improvement Hope you are having a lovely week off x

bluesatinsash · 31/03/2009 13:54

Congratulations Jumping , lovely news. Hope thenext 7 weeks fly in to your CVS test. Please stay here too (I'm not going anywhere if/when I get my BFP as ante-natal threads just jinx me..)

We need a stats update!

girlwithacurl · 31/03/2009 12:29

Fantastic news jumping, and good luck with the CVS!!!

Hi eveyone else! [wave emoticon]
I am about to go and give blood... couldn't do it last time as I was in the 2ww (and obviously hoping I was PG!), but fine to this time! I shall see this is the brightside of my long cycle for this month, I get to do something good!

sifuentes · 31/03/2009 12:12

Hi everyone _ well they're flying in now aren't they! Very exciting. Congrats jelly - fingers all crossed for you and your 8 week wait x

bubble I'm a day or two ahead of you I think but pretty much a cycle buddy ,yes!

I am way too embarrassed to ask for access to the site again. Can't think of any good reason that isn't a bit cringe inducing frankly...when I think of the google searches I have done as wellm eek.
head poor you with yukky eye. I wouldn't worry about dh pickled sperm tho, already made by then innit! Frustrating tho I know when ohs are awol on the special days!
Hi girl and issy and rip and wishing - hope you are all well and happy x x

HeadFairy · 31/03/2009 11:39

Hey jumping congratulations!!!!! That's great news!!!! I hope the cvs goes well and you get a good result. Perhaps some of your good luck will rub off on me, as I'm having all my bloods done next week. Not sure about this month though, dh is on a stag do for cd12 and 13, I expect him to be really hung over on cd14 and his little swimmers will be pickled in alcohol by then too.

The eye is slowly healing, I'm still very blurred in one eye, so it makes my vision very odd. I had to come in to work today as they were really short handed, but I'm doing a short day, just the 8 hours instead of 12 hours, staring at a screen!

Happy birthday for yesterday bubble... I hope you had a good one. You are indeed a bairn, but I can outdo Blue as I was at secondary school when you were born, I was half way through my first year though, still only an 11 year old in bunches and white knee high socks

Hope you're enjoying the new volvo and your week off blue. I'm quite

Sorry I can't post much more, squinting at the screen gives me a pretty bad headache, and I've got to save my eyes for work, although it's pretty quiet here this morning, thank God the G20 doesn't start until tomorrow. My eyeballs will be bleeding by the end of the day tomorrow

TTFN xx

JumpingJellyfish · 31/03/2009 09:52

Good morning ladies.

Bubble glad you had a wonderful b'day- wishing you a belated b'day from here!

Head how is your eye now? Sounds really awful. Hope you can manage to kind of enjoy your couple of days signed off work, if that's possible!

wasabi sorry AF got you, but hope your next cycle will be lucky xx

Wellllll, I still had no AF today, not even a spot, which officially makes me "late" (very lucky to have shortish cycles), so did a Tesco test this morning...and to my great shock it's BFP!!!
Obviously the moral of the story is to get hormone/thyroid etc. bloods done and start investigations for squiffy cycles = pregnant!

I am torn between great excitement and great aanxiety. As our DD has cystic fibrosis any child we have has a 1 in 4 chance of also having CF, so we're having a CVS test done at 11 weeks to find out- so now it's a waiting game for that and the consequences But we have been through all the genetic counselling so we did know this is how it would have to be before we started TTTC. And I guess anyhow it's always hard going for the first 12 weeks for everyone. So now the 2ww is the 8ww!

I won't be joining any antenatal threads, mainly because of the CVS etc., so if you guys don't mind can I still hang around here?

Hope it's sunny where you all are

bluesatinsash · 30/03/2009 21:38

Hi guys and Happy Birthday bubble - 27 - jeeez your just a bairn Hope you were royally spoilt today! I'm going to try and put my knowledge of 80's pop music to the test here to see what was no. 1 when you were born.... let's see 1982, late March... I was in primary 6 I think Adam and the Ants or Bucks Fizz were number one? Damn it! it was "Seven Tears" by the Goombay Dance Band BUT Bucks Fizz took over on 17 April so I wasn't far out .

wasabi - sorry TEW got you but looks like your cycle is getting back to normal. My first couple of AF after (both )mc were v. heavy, lots of hormonal clearing out me thinks.

Hey sif - we need a campaign to reinstate your mn at work! We miss you!!!! Good luck on the 2ww and you too bubble. Head - I hope your gammy eye is healing.

Hey girl what's new with you?

Izzy - how are you doing on your IVF countdown?

DH, DS, my Mum and me went to Glasgow today to get my Mum's b'day present but she ended up buying mine instead and it isn't until May! Got me a lovely pair of 'fit flops' which are supposed to tone you legs and bum we will see!

Bubblebell1 · 30/03/2009 17:18

Thanks everyone ive had a lovely day.

Wasabi sorry about af. she is a cow.

Sif when is your af due?? are we cycle buddies? mine is due anytime between the 10 and 13 april.

hi girl how are you?

girlwithacurl · 30/03/2009 15:03

wasabi sorry the witch got you.

Hi sif haven't you managed to get them to reinstate MN yet!?!

sifuentes · 30/03/2009 14:53

Hi everyone. Blimey it takes a day to load the bloomin pagem so annoying! I did a huge post on fri but lost it so will stay brief.

Currently in the doldrums that is the start of the 2ww. Dp reckons he's done what it takes but we shall see!

Congrats Rip are you getting scanned. Hi to everyone. Too tricky to post to everyone on this thing so will sign off. Missing you all tho. Feel like my mum came to pick me up from the party too soon!

wasabipeanut · 30/03/2009 14:43

Happy birthday Bubble ! Hoping it stays nice where you are and that you get a BFP as a belated pressie!

Bluesatin - you sound like you're having a very nice time! Enjoy

Head - how is your eye today?

jellyfish - sounding good for you. Lol at white knickers for "sods law" sort of logic.

Well my AF finally showed up this morning which I am quite relieved about actualy - thought I was going to be stuck in spotting hell forever. Been quite painful actually - more than it used to be but I guess that is related to post mc stuff too.

Have just eaten a LOT of biscuits since ds went for his nap.

girlwithacurl · 30/03/2009 09:48

Morning all!
Congratulations rip lots of sticky thoughts coming over!
wishing your work sound utterly rubbish, well done for not putting up with it, your bean is far more important than some poxy job!
Jumping fingers crossed AF stays away and we get another BFP.
Bubble Happy Birthday, have a fab day being looked after, luck you!
Head hope the eye is feeling better... that doesn't souund like much fun
blue glad the volvo was all you hoped it would be, and that you had a great weekend... sending you some baby dust for your fertile week!
Izzy hope everything is going well for you? any more walks of shame?
Hello everyone else I missed!!

Bubblebell1 · 30/03/2009 08:08

Morning girls!

Head poor you! i hope your eye gets better soon.

Jumping fingers crossed that af stays away

Blue enjoy your fertile wk

Its my birthday today 27 going to spend it sat in the garden (if it stays sunny) while dh runs around after the kids

its also the end of my fertile window so im now in the 2ww. i wonder if i got the xmas baby i was so worried about

bluesatinsash · 29/03/2009 21:38

x-posts jumping - loving the white knickers = tempting AF - fingers crossed for you!

bluesatinsash · 29/03/2009 21:36

Congrats Rip Sooo happy for you and sending the stickiest of sticky thoughts!!

Just back after being away all weekend (breaking in the new Volvo ). Poor you Head and your gunky eye - hope the anti-biotics are working by now (did have a wee chuckle at your Mad-eyed moody reference) Great to hear your being checked out too with the bloods etc. full MOT! I was offered tests after my 2nd mc but long story short I declined as the consultant just thought it was 'bad luck' and I personally think it was 'ageing eggs' - just hope there's a few sporty ones left in there .

Talking of which I'm rolling around in baby dust as its fertile week here in the blue household and as I've mentioned DH and me are off work all week - somebody stop me!

Well I'm off to catch up on sky + toodle pip x

JumpingJellyfish · 29/03/2009 21:33

Just popping on quickly- so much to catch up with- wish I had the internet at home!!

Rip CONGRATS!!! Really hoping this is a sticky lil bean

Wishing sorry your scan couldn't see that much yet but it still sounds v positive, just different dates to what you'd expect. I really hope the next 3 weeks flies until your next scan- keep growing lil bean!

Wasabi hello Hope you are feeling ok after everything- big un-mn-like hugs to you

Still no AF here, on CD26 which isn't that far on for most but AF appeared CD25 last cycle, with spotting from CD21. No spotting at all yet...so a tiny part of me is try desperately not to get excited. I will test on Tues if AF doesn't get me first. Keep feeling like she's on her way, it's just so confusing. Decided to wear white knickers just to tempt her!!

Hope you have all had a good weekend

RipMacWinkle · 29/03/2009 20:49

Oh guys - thanks so much.

This has been me all weekend - - except then I start thinking that I can't get too excited. Grr.

But mostly i've been .

I hope there are loads more BFPs on here. And that this one sticks.

Thanks again - you've all been so lovely.

wasabipeanut · 29/03/2009 20:25

Oh wow congratulations Rip!!

That's such great news. I am hoping I have joined a lucky thread! Hope everyone has had a great weekend.

HeadFairy · 29/03/2009 19:50

Hi there, just a quickie from me cos I still can't see properly. My eye totally swelled up over the weekend, the actual eyeball was all puffed up with fluid and it's really distorting my vision. I've been signed off work for a couple of days as being able to see is a requisite for editing

Just wanted to say congratulations to RIP, that's great news, much stickyness and happiness to you

Wishing · 29/03/2009 16:37

oh Rip thats fantastic news!! wayhey!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! you must be so pleased, has it sunk in yet?!?!
The BFP are guna come rolling in now i can feel it in me waters!!

im being soooo lazy today came home from work early yesterday as manager had me doing a different job involving lifiting and stretching up! i was so upset and got so annoyed so he said i couldnt do anything else so i might as well go home, ive been a bit fed up since! Thought maybe i was overreacting but everytime i stretched i got a pulling feeling and a pin in my tummy so i didnt want to push it! EPAU unit said best to rest today so i didnt go back in today, DH rang work from me and was fuming!!

How has everyone elses weekend being? Sun all round i hope! xxxx

COngrats again RIP

Bubblebell1 · 28/03/2009 10:28

Rip thats brilliant news!!!! im so pleased for you. congratulations.. lots of sticky thoughts coming your way xxxxxxx

RipMacWinkle · 28/03/2009 08:47

Well what a difference a day makes!

I'll recap. On Thursday morning I posted saying that I'd had a BFN. However, when I looked a little while later there was a definite second line. Hmm I thought. Evaporation line?

Did another test yesterday morning (same type, freebie one with the OPKs) and again, a second line appeared. Much fainter than the main line but definitely there. You didn't have to tilt to the light or anything. DH was unconvinced (basically didn't want us to get our hopes up!). Fast forward to last night. Bought a CB digital indicator thingy.

BFP!!

Am in shock. But cannot get too excited after last year's MC. But it's a year since that happened so I can't tell you how excited and happy I am to have a BFP and a chance. I beg you all to keep your fingers crossed, pray whatever that this is a sticky bean.

Anyway, I'm going to have a fantastic weekend. Hope you all do too.

x
