Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

Hi everyone...

I'm at my mum and dad's for a weekend while dh is on his stag do... (right at fertile peak for me - doh!) so just a quickie from me.

blue - glad you had a wonderful anniversary, sounds absolutely lovely! May the 2ww fly by!

Suzi - I'm glad you're finally getting some answers. I don't know much about PCOS, I was tested for it when I was ttc ds, but I know although it does reduce fertility it's not impossible to get pg with it. Doesn't Louise Redknapp have it? I think she's just had her second. I think Posh also has it, hence her bad skin and extreme dieting (I seem to remember weight gain being a symptom - sadly my porkiness is purely down to greed). At least once you know what you're dealing with you can take the correct steps to fix it without floundering around in the dark trying everything.

Wasabi so glad you're feeling better. Such a relief when you finally come out the other end of a cold isn't it?

irish good luck with your wait to cd40. That's very impressive. Hope you get your bfp at the end of it.

Hope everyone else is good. I'm off to be spoiled rotten (mum is handing me a cuppa and some biscuits as I type - never get that kind of service at home )

Xmas Grin bunny hugs to you all xx

Bubblebell1 · 03/04/2009 19:54

Hey everyone!

Wow bunny smileys!

Hope your all well and happy.

Happy anniversary Blue for yesterday!

irish sorry that it wasnt a bfp! I hope you get 1 soon

glad your feeling better wasab!

Suzi im glad you finally got to speak to a half decent dr. i hope they can finally give you some answers.

hope you all have a good weekend.

SuziBhoy · 03/04/2009 16:33

hey blue thanks. my doc said that all my symptoms point to PCOS, so shes takin all the tests and i will find out within 10 days, but she said she will refer me to a fertility clinic once i have my results back. Im actually a little relieved that i might get some answers for once!!

good luck on your 2ww

bluesatinsash · 03/04/2009 16:15

oooh, wasabi - totally loving the bunny ears too glad your full of Friday feelings!

Suzybhoy - hope you get somewhere with your new Doctor, what makes her think you have PCOS?

Irish - waiting until day 40 hope you get a BFP at the end of it!!

I got a +ve OPK this morning - - CD 15 and I was beginning to worry that I wasn't going to ovulate this month. AF did come early so maybe that threw the days off. DH and me had a lovely night away thanks, we were upgraded to a suite and made the most of it . Retired after dinner and stayed up to 12.30am watching Sex and the City on DVD in bed - totally cream crackered today but at least DS is at nursery.

Its soo glorious up here really warm and sunny - have a good weekend everyone, let the 2ww commence x

wasabipeanut · 03/04/2009 13:44

Hi everyone

Hope we all have that friday feeling. I am feeling much perkier today after several days of feeling like shite. Still have a slight sore throat but not a patch of before. I am cured. Hooray!

Blue - hope you had a lovely anniversary stay at your posh hotel

Irishmum - my god you must be going potty. I really hope you get some clarification soon! (Of the positive sort of course)

Suzi - sorry I've not had any experience of PCOS but there are lots on conception boards that have.

Sif I loved your mention of the san. Took me back to my Malory Towers and St. Clares reading years.

Oh I am so loving these bunny emoticons.

SuziBhoy · 03/04/2009 11:59

hey everyone

sorry... i havent managed to keep up, been busy with stressing

so who is all on the dreaded wait then?? wish you all luck ladies

just thought i would let you all know the latest.....

I went back to my doctor as i really wasnt happy with the last visit... i demanded a different doctor and she is doing tests as she thinks i could have polycystic ovaries , I will get my results in about 10 days. She said she is going to refer me to a fertility clinic depending on the results. has anyone had any experiences with this sort of thing?

irishmumwannabe · 03/04/2009 08:38

Sorry bubble I keep forgetting to answer your questions, I got a positive on day 12 - so had DH on duty for day 10, 12, 13 and 14.

irishmumwannabe · 03/04/2009 08:36

Good morning ladies,

Blue Hope you had a lovely anniversary and theo hotel lived up to expectations.

Bubble hope your symptom spottingisn't getting too bad.

wasabi how's the poor throat?

Hello to sif, Izzy (how's the 2ww going for you?), Head, Jumping and anyone else I've missed off?

So it's day 32 - and still no sign of either AF or BFP. Did a CB test last night and this morning and still nothing. Still feel quite nauseous every day - and got heartburn for the first time ever last night (at least I hopoe that's what it was )

I'm now going to try and wait until Day 40 because someone on a different thread said that it might take that long...God I hope so. After that I'll be heading to the doc to see if they can give me any joy!

bluesatinsash · 01/04/2009 21:36

The San sounds like something out of Malory Towers!

Glad your eye is all better Head and you resisted the chocolate, boy Lent does go on and on doesn't it?

Sorry to hear you have the lurgy wasabi, plenty fluids now.

sif - I've always fancied boating or rather barging in the lake district - all sunbathing on deck and drinking lots of wine - think I just recalled an old Jilly Cooper book (called "Octavia" me thinks - all choosing the right man at the last minute after 20 chapters of shagging bounders - hussah!).

Izzy - you like to keep your options open don't you 2ww and IVF!

Irish - fingers crossed fo you!!!

Bubble step away from the symptom spotting!

How are all our pg ladies doing?

Had a lovely but jam packed day today, weather glorious so it was gym-homebase for flowers-weeding garden-lunch-bd whilst DS slept-planting flowers-make cheesy fish for ds-drop DH off at pub (he's off to Scotland game tonight)-drop DS off at Mums-2nd Acup sesh-pick DS up-home-bath-bed-MN and ironing! Phew!

Yes sif - its our 5th wedding aniv tomorrow so Prestonfield House awaits - canny wait, hotels always make me horny .

Ah well off to tackle the ironing x

Bubblebell1 · 01/04/2009 18:52

HeadFairy · 01/04/2009 18:07

The san??? The SAN??? Sif, anyone would think you went to a proper school

Piggy eyes now dispatched, what to do about piggy cheeks

Oh my, I've had too much grapefruit juice today, I'm all giddy

I think four days on a boat going to Oxford would be rather chilled, but I haven't done that sort of thing since my youth, when there would have been much alcohol consumption and strumming of guitars

sifuentes · 01/04/2009 17:59

Hi lovely ladies! Goodness all these illnesses.it's like the san in here!

issy you cheeky little minx.well there are plenty of stories of people who fall p just before their first round of ivf.so you never know...

jelly it is so painful not having access at work. Stupid overly strict IT nazi boy. Grrr. Tho quite funny to think of a 21 year old boy walking around with excellent knowledge about ttc

How are your symptoms jelly wishing and rip? Feeling rough yet?

head thank God you can wear mascara again. Goodbye to piggy eyes. Phew!
On the boat we are going to oxford so I think that's mainly the thames actually. It will take four days.yawn. Oops don't tell DP I said that. Sure it will be lovely. Just hope it doesn't rain.

wasabs I felt terribly guilty when I remembered I forgot to say hi to you yesterday! Sorry about the sore throat. Hope aunty head's advice helps.hope all well apart from general grottiness x

blue is it your anniversary tomorrow? If so I hope it's tres romantique in you dry ice heaven

bubble how's your symptom spotting going? Mine is creeping up on me but I'm trying to hold it at bay cos I know it's naughty.

Hi irish and suzi and anyone else I forgot. Hope those bfps show up soon. How annoying for you

Hope this is vaguely legible today! [Stroking beard emoticon]

HeadFairy · 01/04/2009 17:10

wasabi - I always found that chocolate made my throat worse I remember once, three weeks after I'd had my tonsils out (aged 22, veeeeery painful op when you're a grown up) and I'd been on a combination of scratchy toast (the doctors recommendation) and mashed potato (my recommendation ) and I was craving something yummy. I was poking around in the larder when I found some chocolates left over from Christmas. I ate about half a mouthful and had the most horrendous burning sensation in my throat. Running to the fridge I grabbed a can of cold coke and glugged it down to cool my throat. That was even worse!!! I ended up weeping as I drank some warm milk to soothe my poor throat. Was enough to put me off chocolate for ages (but not forever though eh? )

We were very lucky with our tracker, our payments fell from about £900 per month to around £650. Luckily we were still paying the same amount in to our bills account, so we kept that extra money rather than spending it, but we're going to need it now as our payments are back up to £900 per month again.

girl hope you get a good mortgage deal, they're a bit thin on the ground at the moment, but with mortgage approvals up it could be a sign the market is starting to pick up. It's not looking too dire here in London. We've got one buyer thinking on the verge of making an offer, and we've only been on the market a month.

girlwithacurl · 01/04/2009 17:00

Hello, everyone seems well today! glad your eye is better head! can't believe how strict you are about no chocoltae, good for you! We are also trying to decide about mortgages at the moment, had a surveyor around today, waiting to see what they think the place is worth to see what options we have. fun!
wasabi about your tonsilitis, hope you feel better soon!
issy probably being nosey, but does your ex want to be a dad then? won't this get complicated? sure you know what you are doing, and exciting to be on the 2ww before you even have the IVF... good luck!
Irish good luck to you too! those symptoms all sound like good ones to me!
Hi everyone else!

wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 16:47

Well FWIW I agree with your logic on the mortgage. So you were one of those lucky peeps that secured a below base rate tracker? Sweet!

Don't feel bad about your cereal bar - I realised that the only thing I could really eat was choc buttons as they melt in the mouth and don't hurt to swallow as much

HeadFairy · 01/04/2009 16:22

not yet, we've been faffing about for ages. We're on the standard variable now so got to sort it. We came off a dream tracker of 0.01 below base rate, so what ever we do we're going to see our payments go up. Dh is of the opinion that if we fix for 5 years at a rate of say 4.5% then when the rate ends in 5 years time, rates will have in all likelihood have risen to above 5% but hopefully not too much, so although our payments may go up, not too much. He thinks if we take advantage of a 2 year rate at 2.99% then in 2 years when rates are at about 5% we'll really feel the pain. My thinking is why pay more for longer to avoid a painful readjustment that may not even be necessary. We're a bit stuck.

Hope you enjoy your cuppa, I'm just tucking in to mine now and eating my way around the chocolate on what I thought was a healthy cereal bar - but which has actually got a layer of blooming chocolate on the bottom. God will strike me down if a drop passes my lips

wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 16:17

Ooooh I'll put the kettle on.

So have you decided on your mortgage yet?

HeadFairy · 01/04/2009 16:15

Oh yes Wasabi, old mascara duly chucked (along with contact lenses - grrr)

Ouch - tonsilitis is rotten. I eventually had my tonsils out because it's so awful. You have my sympathies. Hope the aspirin works. I was also told to drink hot drinks, as the raised temperature can help to kill any bugs locally infecting your tonsils. Not sure how scientific that is, but boy a soothing cup of tea is just the ticket sometimes

wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 15:55

Headfairy you know you have to buy a new mascara now don't you? If you use the old one you reintroduce the infection. As a fellow lense wearer I am a veteran of eye infections!

Tonsilitus confirmed. Thanks for tip re soluble asprin - will get some when picking up ds.

HeadFairy · 01/04/2009 14:56

Hello everyone, thanks for good wishes. The eye looks normal again thankfully, though I'm still speccy four eyes as no contact lens is going near my eye for at least another week. At least I can wear mascara again... the most important thing of course

Issy enjoy your week in the lakes... hopefully the weather up there is as good as it is down here. I'm a little confused, are you on a 2ww after another sesh with your ex? Or are you about to start IVF? Sorry if I'm being dim.

wasabi I hope the throat is feeling better. I'm a veteran of bad throats having had tonsilitis more or less continuously for three years. Gargle with soluble aspirin if it gets really bad. It's grim but it works.

Sif which canal will you be sailing down as you smoke your pipe? You taking up lentil weaving too?

Crikey Irish those symptoms do sound very promising, but how frustrated must you be with that bfn?? What a pain, it's so irritating when all you want is for af to arrive or to get a bfp, not this inbetween rubbish with all those promising symptoms. Fingers crossed you get a bfp soon.

Hope everyone else is well xxx

irishmumwannabe · 01/04/2009 12:08

Sorry bubble I did the opks this month so I know I ovulated on day 12 - and was expecting AF last Saturday at the latest - it's probably just stress

irishmumwannabe · 01/04/2009 11:44

Hi All

Issy so jealous of you in the lakes hope you have a fab holiday

Head hope the eye is better too.

Bubble are you on the 2ww now ? hope it flies for you.
wasabiI hope your throat isn?t too bad ? I remember going through the telephone triage when I lived in the UK. You?d nearly have to be unable to get to the doctors before they would let you in.

woke up this morning with a horrible taste in my mouth like I had eaten too much garlic the night before (no garlic in my dinner though) Still no news but I have decided to stop spending money on hpts and am holding out for as long as I can bear Friday so I won?t have much news on that front until the weekend.

How?s the beard growing/pipe smoking going for you sif?

Hope everyone else Is keeping well talk to you all later

wasabipeanut · 01/04/2009 10:08

Hey Jumping - what fab news!
I hope the next few weeks fly by for you.

Headfairy - I hope you're eye is now well and truly on the mend!

Bubble I hope you had a lovely birthday.

Bluesatin - will be keen to hear your review of Fitflops - I quite fancied some of those or some MBT ones. Enjoy the rest of your week off!

Issy - enjoy your holidays!

Irishmum - anymore news?

Well I am feeling a bit shite this morning as have some sort of throat infection which has been making me feel dire for the last 24 hours. Got a docs appt later - yes I actually made it through the telephone triage system (Grrr - it really annoys me you basically have to beg to actually be seem ).

Ds is at nursery all day - he normally only does 3 mornings a week but they have been wonderful and agreed to take him for a full day today as they had room. Phew. Will prob be back on later as not up to doing much today!

Bubblebell1 · 01/04/2009 08:34
