Please don't be offended if you're not named, you're still welcome, I just have a rubbish memory. I can see a couple of you on November thread but there's a whole load of people not there. Just wondering if you wanted a little thread to keep in touch?

Headfairy - just replied to you on grapefruit thread. So sorry about your sad news. Was hoping a new thread might provide you with support from old friends.

And Sunnydale, I know you're wary of new threads, so though you might also like the company of old friends.

Wishing and Bubble having your weird long cycles and missing whole month's threads, thought this might be one for you too.

So what do you say? I'll start a list just in case:

Issy, ttc#1, cycle 14, ucl 28ish, cd 23/10dpo, mc Mar08, cp Sep08, IVF in April.

oooh get me, I totally forgot about dh's marathon... d'oh! He did really well considering, 4 hours 40 mins. He would have done better but his calf muscle went in to terrible spasm at about mile 7 so he had to slow up, but considering he's not been able to run for 7 weeks and he's had a pretty bad knee injury, I'm very proud. He's already looking at doing the New York marathon next year for his 40th. Now that I don't mind

HeadFairy · 05/05/2009 20:24

Hello everyone!!! D'ya miss me?

I've spent aaages reading up on everyone's news for a big catch up, so here goes...

Issy congratulations on a successful ec and et.... a 60% chance is cracking really isn't it? I really hope after all those jabs you get lucky this month. Those blastocysts are amazing. Isn't it incredible to think that so much about those babies has already been decided, eye colour, height, hair colour, gender, even temperement to a certain extent. Amazing to think, looking at those little bundles that so much has already been decided. I hope the 2ww isn't too frustrating and just well.... bleurgh

Irish so sorry to hear af got you good luck with all that poas and temping.

girl good luck with the doctors appt tomorrow. I hope you get some answers.

blue that's really good news about the scan, try not to think about the what ifs... just focus on the here and now, and right here and now you have a viable pregnancy. Are you planning to go for another scan? My doc said to go at 7.5 weeks as a heartbeat then usually indicates a viable pregnancy, but I'm sceptical and waiting to 8 weeks as I think if you see a hb at 8 weeks then your mc rate drops to 2% (or something). We're living very parallel lives, as I think I had my two mcs at the same time and we're a couple of days apart at the moment, so feel free to grip my hand in a tense, squeezy kind of way

sunny I got pg at Christmas after one really badly timed bd, so nothing's impossible. Hang in there

Hi to everyone else... sif bubble wasabi jumping (sorry if I've forgotten anyone, got two pages open trying to remember who's posting what and I'm thoroughly confused )

Our holiday was lovely thanks... I ate far too much, in fact if I see a plate of pasta again for a good few weeks I think I might hurl. Oh and the cheese... too much cheese! the weather was a tad crazy, it was snowing when we got there (FIL lives in the Italian Alps, near Courmayeur) and then the next day we had brilliant sunshine that lasted for the next four days. DS spent the entire time running around the garden in a teeshirt and a nappy having a whale of a time, playing football and going to bed really late. Only downer is I've come back to a week of nights booooo! Still, it's only three night shifts this week, so not too bad. I'll just have to resist those 3am cheese and ham toasties with chips and mayo that our canteen specialise in

Take care everyone, I'll be back when I'm through the dreaded nights xx

bluesatinsash · 05/05/2009 19:17

Thanks ladies .

Issy - how are you bearng up? Hope those lo's are being kept all warm and snuggly .

Sunny - its not over until TEW shows up.. REally hoping its your turn to become the gimpering paranoid wreck soon.

Bubble - still have by fingers crossed for you for this month...

Head - hope you had a fab time in Italy and didn't find it too hard to avoid all that lovely Chianti .

Irish wasabi girl Jumping and Sif hey and hope you are all well x

Bubblebell1 · 05/05/2009 07:41

Blue thats lovely news. Im glad you saw a heartbeat. I hope you can try and relax now and enjoy being pg.

Issy Who knows whats going on with me!! ?Your right. I am hoping that AF shows up on time so i can just get on with it.

Sunny when is your af due?

hope everyone else is well.

Sunnydale · 04/05/2009 22:08

Blue, try not to worry. Easier said than done, I know. I dream of getting to your stage (ie being pg) but know that when (if?) I get there, I'll be every bit as worried as you. Try to enjoy it. Just think of how hardy those beans can be. Yours is lovely and safe in its home.
No hope for me this month - only BD'd once as ov'd when DH was away for the weekend. I know once is all it takes, but even so, given we did it loads n loads the last 2 months with no luck, I'm not expecting anything. Hence last night's glass of wine! Well, it was a bank holiday. Nothing stronger than tea tonight though, ladies. Hope y'all are well.

Issy42 · 04/05/2009 19:51

Brilliant news Blue . Chances of mc after seeing heartbeat are really low, so (try to) relax and enjoy it. Oh and I'll take the 5th amendment on that one .

Bubble - difficult to say if you haven't had a temp shift. Just hope AF arrives on time for you and you can get on with ttc again (unless you get a BFP of course).

Hope everyone else is well and has enjoyed the bank holiday (raining here today too).

bluesatinsash · 04/05/2009 17:30

so Issy - is it the former or the latter? .

I have some news , had a 6+3 scan this morning and there was a bean with a heartbeat . I saw my doctor last Wed and basically broke down in front of him. Think the stress of 2 mc in 8 months just hit me and I was convinced I was on my way to third due to brown discharge last week. He gave me a good telling off (in a kind way) about being positive and relaxing and the midwife did the same this morning when I started saying "well, yes there's a heartbeat today, but it could be gone tomorrow" . I so need to chill the feck out and just try and think I'll get my 'take home' baby in December.

Sunny - that wine sounds lovely

bubble good luck on 1 ww!

Bank holiday shmank holiday, its been pouring with rain and blowing a gale here all day - harrumph!

Bubblebell1 · 04/05/2009 16:59

Blimey issy i wont ask which you do !!! I am keeling everything crossed that your beans are sticky.

I hope your right about the ov thing... not only did i not get a + opk but no thermal shift.
i did read that if you dont get solid blocks of sleep then its not accurate. (which i dont as ds2 still sleeps with us and is a complete fidget!!).
so today would be 7dpo (if the sonographer was right) and i had a really low temp? does that mean af will come early?

how is everyone?

been very quiet in here..

HF how are you? how was the holiday?

Blue did you have a nice bank holiday?

Sif where are you???

Issy42 · 04/05/2009 16:16

Thanks Sunny - I'd rather be called Issy too, but unfortunately my mother just gave me a very common, boring name . Your post made me giggle - it reads as though you'd been enjoying a little drink .

Bubble - I've ov'd without a positive OPK before too, so don't lose hope. I think my AF would be due around two weeks after EC, so next Monday, but the progesterone pessaries might keep it away. Oh yes, I left that little delight out of my dummy's guide to IVF (tmi warning). You have to use them every 12 hours from two days after egg collection until 12 weeks pg and can either use them vaginally or up the bum. If the former you have to lie still for 20 minutes, but the latter you can carry on as normal. The joys of IVF. Also going to be fun in the middle of my boss's dinner party next Monday !

Sunnydale · 03/05/2009 22:15

Well Issy, I've never seen a blastocyst before but yours sure look cute! Just taken a peek at your piccies - wishing you all the very best of luck and that this month is your month. Can't imagine how you must be feeling, but my thoughts are with you. Bit gutted you aren't called Issy, though. Ha ha ha! Only joking. Guess what - my real name isn't Sunnydale either! Ha ha ha, that wasn't even funny. Sorry, have had a glass of wine. Hope everyone else is well this bank holiday, and that lots of BD'ing has been had by all, other than those on the 2ww.

Bubblebell1 · 03/05/2009 15:18

Issy Ive got 1 wk til af now!! we can hold hands while we wait. I really dont think ive ovd this month. so really i am just waiting for af to show up on time and not go awol for months on end again

Issy42 · 03/05/2009 14:12

Thanks Bubble - guess we're on the 2ww together.

PS: Managed to get the link working by uploading a picture of tulips! Guess it only appears when you have a non-restricted photo on, so taken the pic off my profile page now.

Issy good luck for the next few weeks. I hope you can tell sooner rather than later and they become beautiful sticky lil beans

Issy42 · 02/05/2009 19:23

Thank-you Blue - that's really sweet of you.

bluesatinsash · 02/05/2009 19:21

You'll be in my prayers at church tomorrow (I've found myself going every week since I got my BFP, its giving me much comfort) and every Sunday hence.

Issy42 · 02/05/2009 19:17

Thanks Blue. Just praying they make it.

bluesatinsash · 02/05/2009 19:05

oh Issy that's just wonderful news . You hold onto them now, that's an order . Sending all the sticky bean thoughts I can muster .

I don't seem to be able to open your photos there's no 'Issy's photos' link on your profile page .

Issy42 · 02/05/2009 18:35

Thanks Bubble - I was transfixed by them in theatre. Now it's just a case of taking the progesterone and waiting. I do have a scan for the research project in about a week though and one of the girls said the sonographer thought she was pg at hers. My official test date is 15th May, but I may wait an extra day as a girl in my office is going on maternity leave that day and could be hard for me if I've tested that morning.

If the link's up now I thnk I'll put it back to friends only.

OP posts:
Bubblebell1 · 02/05/2009 18:29

Omg! arent they amazing!! Isnt it wonderful that you get to see them. What is the next part of your treatment? how long do you have to wait before you can test? I really hope they stick

(the link to your pics has come up now)

Issy42 · 02/05/2009 18:25

I defo spelt your name correctly so the mumsnet mates thing can't be working. Tried making it public but still didn't get a link, so have temporarily put it on my front page.

OP posts:
Bubblebell1 · 02/05/2009 18:22

Aww thanks [proud mummy emotion]

they are lovely boys but can be a real handful

I will have another go at looking at your pics.

Issy42 · 02/05/2009 18:20

I'm sure I typed your name correctly but I'll check. I just looked at your profile to see how you see someone's photos and noticed the link is at the bottom of the page. Lovely pics of your ds's - look like butter wouldn't melt.
